The Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID) publishes high impact reports describing original research related to all aspects of cutaneous biology and skin disease. Clinical research can include, but is not limited to, interventional trials, genetic studies, epidemiology, and health services research. The JID places a high priority on publication of new insights into basic cutaneous biology, disease pathogenesis, and treatment. Reports that describe a new methodology, technique, or tool in combination with mechanistic insights into the problem that is being investigated are encouraged. It is possible that occasional descriptions of novel technology, methodology, or resources that are of special interest or utility to JID readers could be competitive for publication, even in the absence of new mechanistic insights. Reports describing novel variants in known genes with no new mechanistic data will not be reviewed. Case reports or case series, unless they provide new biologic insights, are rarely appropriate for submission. Purely hypothesis generating clinical research such as analysis of case reports, pharmacovigilance reports (for example, analyses of FAERS), unless truly novel, or accompanied with hypothesis testing approaches (e.g., cohort, case-control, clinical trial, and/or mechanistic laboratory studies) are not within the JID Scope. The journal publishes original contributions that demonstrate a novel application of an existing ultrasound technology in clinical diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic applications, new and improved clinical techniques, the physics, engineering and technology of ultrasound in medicine and biology, and the interactions between ultrasound and biological systems, including bioeffects. Papers that simply utilize standard diagnostic ultrasound as a measuring tool will be considered out of scope. Comprehensive, critical reviews of subjects of contemporary interest in the field are also published, in addition to occasional editorial articles, technical notes and letters to the editor. It is the aim of the journal fully to meet the information and publication requirements of the clinicians, scientists, engineers and other professionals who constitute the biomedical ultrasonic community.- ISSN: 0301-5629

The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics (JMD), the official publication of the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP), co-owned by the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP), seeks to publish high quality original papers on scientific advances in the translation and validation of molecular discoveries in medicine into the clinical diagnostic setting, and the description and application of technological advances in the field of molecular diagnostic medicine. The journal also publishes "Clinical Trial Updates" focusing on an ongoing trial, and the "Grey Zone", which sheds light on areas for which guideline recommendations are difficult to make, because of the absence of data. In addition, the "Clinical Consultation Guide" discusses hot topics from a clinician's point of view.
