Global Finance Journal
The Global Finance Journal publishes high quality original research in financial economics with a focus on global financial markets, international financial systems, and financial mechanisms with cross border relevance. The journal seeks contributions that advance understanding of how individuals, firms and financial markets operate in an increasingly integrated global economy. The journal welcomes research addressing important questions in financial economics, including the valuation of financial assets, corporate financial decisions, the functioning of financial institutions and markets, and the transmission of risk and capital across countries and regions.Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:Asset pricing and global cost of capital Corporate finance, capital structure, payout policy, mergers and acquisitionsBanking, financial intermediation, and central bankingCredit markets and fixed income securitiesInternatio... finance, exchange rates, and capital flowsFinancial market regulation and systemic stabilityRisk management, derivatives, and hedgingMarket microstructure and trading dynamicsEnergy, commodities, and real estate financeFinancial innovation, digital finance, and fintechBehavioral and experimental financeSustainable and climate related financeInstitutional investors and global asset allocationThe journal welcomes research employing theoretical modelling, rigorous empirical identification, structural estimation, experiments, AI and machine learning methods, and innovative data sources that generate economically meaningful and preferably policy relevant insights.Submissions should demonstrate methodological rigor and a clear and original contribution to financial economics. Studies based on single country data are welcome when they provide insights that are broadly informative for financial markets, institutions, or policies beyond the specific institutional setting of a single jurisdiction. Purely descriptive analyses, narrowly institutional case studies without broader implications, and work outside the domain of finance are generally not considered.Editorial VisionThe Global Finance Journal is dedicated to being a premier outlet for research that deepens our collective understanding of financial markets and institutions within an increasingly integrated global economy. Today’s financial landscape is defined by the complex interplay of cross-border capital flows, rapid technological shifts, regulatory transitions, and shifting investor behaviour. Our mission is to publish rigorous research that illuminates these forces and explores their consequences for asset pricing, corporate finance, corporate governance, financial intermediation, and financial stability. We prioritize research that examines globally relevant financial mechanisms - whether through the lens of international datasets, comparative institutional analysis, or insights that extend beyond a single market. We welcome both theoretical and empirical contributions that leverage modern research methods, including structural modelling, experimental design, AI and machine learning, and the application of large-scale or alternative data sources.Above all, the journal serves as a vital bridge between academic inquiry and the practical realities of finance. By championing research that combines methodological rigor with real-world economic impact, the Global Finance Journal aims to advance the field of financial economics and to inform debates on financial policy, market design, and financial innovation.Equally central to the journal’s mission is a strong commitment to research integrity, transparency, and ethical scholarship. Submissions are expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic conduct, including appropriate disclosure of data sources, transparent reporting of empirical methods, and full acknowledgement of prior work. Authors are encouraged, where feasible, to facilitate reproducibility and replicability through clear documentation of data construction, empirical procedures, and computational methods. The journal supports the broader movement in financial economics toward greater reproducibility, methodological transparency, and responsible use of data and research tools, including emerging computational techniques. Through these principles, the Global Finance Journal aims to promote research that is not only methodologically rigorous and intellectually innovative, but also transparent, credible, and valuable to the global finance research community.- ISSN: 1044-0283

Journal of Empirical Finance
The Journal of Empirical Finance is a financial economics journal whose aim is to publish high quality articles in empirical finance. Empirical finance is interpreted broadly to include any type of empirical work in financial economics, financial econometrics, and also theoretical work with clear empirical implications, even when there is no empirical analysis. The Journal welcomes articles in all fields of finance, such as asset pricing, corporate finance, financial econometrics, banking, international finance, microstructure, behavioural finance, etc.The Editorial Team is willing to take risks on innovative research, controversial papers, and unusual approaches. We are also particularly interested in work produced by young scholars. The composition of the editorial board reflects such goals. Editorial PolicyWe are committed to fast turnaround times. Since 2016, our goal is to make most decisions on first submissions within 10 weeks. All papers are handled by one of the main editors. For each paper, the editor chooses one of three options:The editor makes a decision on the paper without involving additional reviewers; The editor directly selects one or more ad hoc reviewers; The editor assigns the paper to an associate editor, who then selects one or more ad hoc reviewers and makes a recommendation to the editor. In all cases, the editor is responsible for the final decision on the paper. All first submissions require payment of a submission fee. The submission fee is not refundable. In particular, the submission fee will not be refunded if the paper is "desk rejected" (i.e. the editor rejects the paper without involving additional reviewers) or if the editors are unable to secure reviewers for the paper. We do not pre-screen papers or ideas; authors have to submit their papers and pay the submission fee to receive an evaluation. Please note that, due to the exceptionally large number of high-quality submissions, the hurdle is very high: we currently reject about 85% of all submissions, of which 40% are rejected by the editors without involving further reviewers and with no detailed feedback offered. We thus recommend authors to be conservative in their submission decisions, as most submissions will lead to rejection. As a guideline for authors, here we list some of the most common reasons for desk rejections (please note that this list is not exhaustive):The paper is a better fit for Accounting, Computational, Mathematical Finance, Operations, Statistics, or Econometrics journals. The paper is a better fit for academic journals with a more practitioner orientation. The topic or the application is too narrow, being of interest to only a small group of researchers. The quality of the analysis falls short of the standards expected by the Journal. The paper is poorly written and/or formatted.- ISSN: 0927-5398

Journal of Informetrics
Journal of Informetrics (JOI) publishes rigorous high-quality research on quantitative aspects of information science. The main focus of the journal is on topics in bibliometrics, scientometrics, webometrics, patentometrics, altmetrics and research evaluation. Contributions studying informetric problems using methods from other quantitative fields, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics and econometrics, and network science, are especially encouraged. JOI publishes both theoretical and empirical work. In general, case studies, for instance a bibliometric analysis focusing on a specific research field or a specific country, are not considered suitable for publication in JOI, unless they contain innovative methodological elements.- ISSN: 1751-1577

Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation
Founded in 1992, the Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation (JIAAT) publishes research that advances our understanding of international accounting over a diverse range of topics and research methods. JIAAT articles deal with most areas of international accounting, including auditing, financial accounting, taxation, social and environmental accounting, and management accounting. The Journal welcomes research that utilizes a wide range of basic and applied research methods, including archival, experimental, survey, analytical, and case study. The Journal's founding goal was to bridge the gap between academic researchers and practitioners by publishing papers that are relevant to the development of the field of accounting. Within this context, submissions are expected to make a contribution to the academic accounting literature, including as appropriate the international accounting literature typically found in JIAAT and other primary US-based international accounting journals as well as in leading European, Australian, and Canadian academic accounting journals. Applied research findings, critiques of current accounting practices and the measurement of their effects on business decisions, and research-based essays on world affairs which affect accounting practice are all within the scope of the journal.Although the Journal welcomes a wide range of topics, papers may be rejected without being sent out for formal review if the paper is deemed outside of the scope of the journal, too narrow in interest or scope, of unacceptable written quality, or as not sufficiently adhering to the style requirements as outlined in the Guide for Authors. We strongly urge all authors interested in JIAAT to carefully read the Guide to Authors and to examine some of its more recently published articles. Examples of topics outside the scope of the journal include accounting education, attitudes about the implementation and use of software programs, and tax papers with an economics or finance focus rather than an accounting-related tax focus. Papers using a US sample must demonstrate a significant international accounting focus.- ISSN: 1061-9518

Journal of Business Venturing Design
Journal of Business Venturing Design publishes original works that advance both theoretical understanding and the practice of entrepreneurship. JBVD does so by regarding entrepreneurship as a form of design to be studied as a design science. Entrepreneurship as design is broadly defined as the iterative and uncertainty facing process of establishing a new "business" (or "opportunity", "venture", "startup" etc.), typically by working with various intermediate artifacts. Studying entrepreneurship as a design science means that the ultimate, if not immediate, goal of all contributions should be instrumental, i.e. the development of knowledge or tools that improve the art and skill of entrepreneurial design. In this sense, entrepreneurship is similar to other design sciences such as engineering and medicine. And much like these fields draw on the physical and life sciences, entrepreneurship (and management more generally) in part relies on explanatory and descriptive knowledge produced in various social science disciplines. There is also potential in interdisciplinary contributions that relate entrepreneurial design to insights from other design science disciplines, such as product design, service design, organization design, software design, and information systems design.Importantly, the focus on instrumental knowledge does not imply that explanatory or descriptive research will not be published. It does, however, mean that such works should explicitly aim toward the development of more instrumental knowledge or tools. To illustrate, explanatory research seeking a general causal mechanism on the form 'X causes A under condition B' can be turned into an instrumental design principle if X can be manipulated with predictable results. Similarly, descriptive research seeking patterns in the details of specific situations may be turned in to design principles by gradually producing better understandings of how elements of the situation relate to one and other. The instrumentality of design science highlights its ethical dimension. As opposed to purely descriptive or explanatory sciences, design science more directly helps manipulate the world in particular directions, suggesting that design scientists have a potential moral responsibility for the knowledge and tools developed.Constraine... by the above, JBVD publishes high-quality conceptual and empirical works - regardless of disciplinary origins or methodological orientation - that advance our knowledge of entrepreneurship as design. Suitable topics include, but are not limited to, the following:Conceptual issues such as: how entrepreneurship can be theorized as a form of design; how constructs, models, and methods for design can be developed from explanatory and descriptive research (e.g. explanatory causal mechanisms and descriptive case studies); how the materiality of design artifacts influences entrepreneurial practice; how design science research can be validated; how the ethical dimensions of entrepreneurial design research can be understood; and how general design principles relate to specific practices.Empirical issues such as: studies proposing new constructs, models, and methods for design; tests and refinements of proposed constructs, models, and methods (e.g. using simulations, longitudinal case studies, field-experiments, and action research); descriptive studies of the use of specific tools and artifacts in entrepreneurial practice (e.g. business model frameworks, software development kits, product prototypes, pitches). In addition to conceptual and empirical research that advance our knowledge of entrepreneurship as design, such advancement can also take the form of more immediately useful tools. In addition to traditional papers, JBVD will therefore publish work that introduces and evaluates tools and methods grounded in design science research. These can include, but are not limited to, the following kinds:Business analysis frameworks (e.g. industry analysis tools, business model templates).Business design algorithms or heuristics (e.g. methods for entrepreneurial experimentation and transformation).Peda... materials (e.g. examples of specific tools and materials for teaching entrepreneurial design in different contexts).- ISSN: 2667-2774

Journal of Environmental Economics and Management
The Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (JEEM) publishes theoretical and empirical papers addressing economic questions related to natural resources and the environment. To warrant publication in JEEM, papers must include carefully identified empirical findings, insightful theoretical analyses, or creative methodologies that are both novel and of broad interest to its readership. We recognize the boundaries of environmental and resource economics are subjective and evolving, but topics of interest include:Environmenta... policy design and instrument choice;Nonmarket valuation methods and their application to new, policy-relevant settings;Environment... behavior of firms, government officials and agencies, nonprofit organizations, households, or individuals;Renewabl... and non-renewable resource management and policy such as the economics of fisheries, forestry and fossil fuels;Climate change;Topics at the intersection of environmental and resource economics and development economics, energy economics, industrial organization, urban economics, transport economics, health economics, or agricultural economics. We also welcome interdisciplinary work from diverse teams of researchers as long as the paper's primary contribution focuses on economic questions. We do not publish book reviews, literature reviews, or policy briefs, and we rarely publish papers that replicate previously identified empirical relationships or apply established methods to new case studies. We also do not publish theoretical analyses that merely extend results from well-known models. In our review process, we pre-screen all papers and desk reject some. Papers that are desk rejected typically are considered poor topical or methodological fits or significantly below JEEM's quality standards.Papers that are rejected by JEEM will not be reconsidered for publication unless the editor in his or her decision letter makes this possibility explicit.- ISSN: 0095-0696

Resource and Energy Economics
Resource and Energy Economics publishes theoretical and empirical papers, firmly grounded in economic theory, that advance our understanding of and provide novel insights into environmental and natural resource problems and policies broadly defined, as well as analyses of energy use and markets that link resource and environmental issues to energy.Contributions may address any problem involving economic and environmental linkages, including, but not limited to, utilization, conservation and development of the earth's natural resources (renewable and non-renewable, including critical materials); climate change mitigation and adaptation; innovation and the energy transition; pathways to sustainable growth and development; international trade and global environmental problems; non-market valuation methodology and novel applications of valuation techniques; experimental or behavioural economics pertaining to environmental and natural resources; the choice and impact of environmental policy instruments; and economic choices and/or behaviour related to energy and the environment. Also of interest are energy-related papers addressing regional or global pollution as well as the relationships between renewable and non-renewable energy sources and markets.Resource and Energy Economics is an economics journal. Hence, economic analysis is central to all papers that we publish. We are most interested in research that advances the theoretical and/or empirical understanding of natural resource and environmental economics. We do not publish studies that are limited to engineering or cost analyses, empirical analyses that document relationships between variables without identifying the theory or underlying mechanism(s) giving rise to these relationships, or localized studies without broader relevance. Papers limited to the study of prices, markets or finance are not within the scope of the journal unless the topic is linked to natural resource and environmental issues (such as energy efficiency, consumption, externalities, renewables, environmental policy, resource extraction, climate, instrument choice, welfare change, etc.). Papers that are determined by the editors to not be a good fit with the above aims and scope or are deemed to not meet the scientific standards of the journal will be returned without review.- ISSN: 0928-7655

Learning and Individual Differences
Journal of Psychology and EducationLearning and Individual Differences is a research journal devoted to publishing articles of individual differences as they relate to learning within an educational context. The Journal focuses on original empirical studies of high theoretical and methodological rigor that make a substantial scientific contribution and advance our knowledge on individual differences as they relate to cognitive and/or non-cognitive features across diverse learning contexts. The Journal receives submissions from different fields such as psychology, educational sciences, and the learning sciences and welcomes interdisciplinary research.Learning and Individual Differences publishes original research. There are three types of original articles: Full length articles, brief reports, and multistudy reports. Full length articles should be no longer than 8000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Brief reports should be no longer than 4000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Multistudy reports should be no longer than 12000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Systematic reviews with or without meta-analysis should be no longer than 15000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). The core criteria for whether a manuscript is published are its scientific rigor and the new knowledge that it adds to the existing body of knowledge. To this end, we are particularly looking for manuscripts that report on longitudinal data analyses, include data on diverse (in the best case representative) or underrepresented populations, and combine several sources of information such as self-report and objective performance data. Inclusion of power calculations where appropriate is considered an advantage. Manuscripts that don't meet these criteria such as studies that are cross-sectional (in particular when they report mediation analyses), stem from highly specific samples, and include only self-reports need to make a strong case on why they advance our knowledge to a sufficient level for inclusion in the Journal and have a higher likelihood of not being considered for publication in Learning and Individual Differences.- ISSN: 1041-6080

Computers & Industrial Engineering
Industrial engineering is one of the earliest fields to utilize computers in research, education, and practice. Over the years, computers and electronic communication have become an integral part of industrial engineering. Computers & Industrial Engineering (CAIE) is aimed at an audience of researchers, educators and practitioners of industrial engineering and associated fields. It publishes original contributions on the development of new computerized methodologies for solving industrial engineering problems, as well as the applications of those methodologies to problems of interest in the broad industrial engineering and associated communities. The journal encourages submissions that expand the frontiers of the fundamental theories and concepts underlying industrial engineering techniques.CAIE also serves as a venue for articles evaluating the state-of-the-art of computer applications in various industrial engineering and related topics, and research in the utilization of computers in industrial engineering education. Papers reporting on applications of industrial engineering techniques to real life problems are welcome, as long as they satisfy the criteria of originality in the choice of the problem and the tools utilized to solve it, generality of the approach for applicability to other problems, and significance of the results produced.A major aim of the journal is to foster international exchange of ideas and experiences among scholars and practitioners with shared interests all over the world.- ISSN: 0360-8352

Learning, Culture and Social Interaction
Affiliated with European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI)Much of the most important learning happens through social interaction. Learning, Culture and Social Interaction is an international journal devoted to the publication of high-quality research on learning within, and through, social practices. Its particular focus is on understanding how learning and development are embedded in social and cultural activities, and how individuals and collective practices are transformed through learning.Such understanding requires a careful analysis of learning in social context, and of the communicative processes involved. In-depth studies of interaction in schools (in various subjects and settings), universities, work-places, voluntary organizations, public agencies, hospitals, laboratories and other institutional settings will be welcome, as well as studies of informal settings such as everyday conversations, play settings, youth clubs, games and other cultural practices. Longitudinal studies of learning trajectories are relevant as are analyses of contexts and interactional patterns that hinder learning. The important point is that the relationships between cultures, social interaction and learners (and teachers) are in focus. The term 'interaction' includes forms of communication which take place through technologies of various kinds (telephone, the Internet, presentation technologies and so on). Interaction between people and artefacts, insofar as they address learning, are also relevant. Thus, the focus is not exclusively on face-to-face interaction. Also, issues of collective forms of learning characterizing systematic change, institutional development and communities of practice are central for the journal. The journal is multidisciplinary and invites scholars from relevant disciplines including psychology, anthropology, linguistics, sociology, communication studies and all areas of educational research. Data may come from ethnographies, experimental approaches, intervention studies, case studies, interviews, questionnaires, self-reports, cross-cultural comparisons, archives etc. Articles of different kinds will be welcome: reports of empirical research, theoretically orientated analyses, contributions to method, literature reviews, meta-analyses of research etc. There will be no restrictions when it comes to age levels or social settings. A strong expectation will be that authors write clearly and accessibly for an international and multidisciplinary audience. Please, should you have any queries, contact the journal directly.- ISSN: 2210-6561

Journal of Psychosomatic Research
Official Journal of the European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine and affiliated with the International College of Psychosomatic MedicineThe Journal of Psychosomatic Research is a multidisciplinary research journal covering all aspects of the relationships between psychology and medicine. The scope is broad and ranges from basic human biological and psychological research to evaluations of treatment and services. Papers will normally be concerned with illness or patients rather than studies of healthy populations. Studies concerning special populations, such as the elderly and children and adolescents, are welcome. In addition to peer-reviewed original papers, the journal publishes editorials, reviews, and other papers related to the journal's aims.- ISSN: 0022-3999

Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry
A Journal of Experimental PsychopathologyThe Journal welcomes contributions to the understanding and treatment of psychopathology. Such contributions may stem from various theoretical perspectives. The Journal primarily focuses on (quasi)experimental tests of psychological approaches to psychopathology, though contributions from medicine, biology, sociology, or epidemiology may be considered. The same holds for non-experimental approaches (e.g., prospective approaches), which may occasionally be published if deemed relevant for the field of experimental psychopathology. Papers to be published generally focus on:Theoretically or clinically relevant differences between specific patient groups and other groups, if experimentally tested;(Transdiagnos... mechanisms that cause, perpetuate or reduce disorders;Diagnostic or therapeutic proceduresParticipan... in the studies may be patients, healthy subjects, or animals, depending on the relevance of the subject characteristics for the question to be answered. We encourage the investigation of transdiagnostic constructs. Relatedly, we strongly encourage studies testing hypotheses on characteristics of a disorder to not only include a non-patient control group, but also at least one appropriate clinical control group, to assess the specificity of the effect. We cannot guarantee acceptance of studies missing an appropriate clinical control group.Pre-registrati... of all studies is strongly encouraged and justification of statistical power required. We ask authors who submit studies that were not pre-registered to provide a motivated justification in their cover letter. Clinical trials (RCTs and others) should be registered in an official trial register and the registration number should be reported. These studies should include a flow diagram according to the most recent CONSORT guidelines and a CONSORT checklist should accompany the submission. See http://www.consort-s... for the guidelines and forms. Any changes in the submitted study as compared to the pre-registered study (e.g., intended sample size, primary and secondary outcome variables, method) should be stated explicitly in the manuscript.Case studies, open trials, and pilot studies may be considered for publication in the Journal if they are unusually innovative Consecutive case series with appropriate designs (i.e., contrasting at least two conditions; e.g. multiple baseline design) and appropriate statistical analyses are considered for publication.Theoreti... contributions on topics relevant to the field of experimental psychopathology are also considered as well as systematic reviews and meta-analyses, given that they meet the appropriate guidelines for reporting. Replications are essential in science and are, to the present editors' opinion, often undervalued. Short reports of attempts to replicate experimental studies, whether successful or failed, and whether applied or fundamental, are considered for publication, if appropriately powered. The maximum number of words is 2500 for these reports. All submissions will first be screened on the degree to which they match the Aims and Scope of the Journal.- ISSN: 0005-7916

Body Image
Body Image is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality, scientific articles on body image and human physical appearance. Body image represents a person's "inside view" of their body-that is, their feelings, perceptions, thoughts, and beliefs about their body that impact how they behave toward it (Cash, 2004). While physical appearance is an important aspect of body image, it is not the only aspect, as embodiment (how a person uses their body to engage with the world) and focusing on (and appreciating) body functionality are additional aspects of body image. We invite contributions from a broad range of disciplines - psychological science, other social and behavioral sciences, and medical and health sciences. We have a weight-inclusive focus rather than a weight-normative or weight-centric focus (see here for an explanation).Body Image publishes a variety of article types, including original research articles, brief research reports, theoretical and review papers (systematic reviews and meta-analyses), scale development and adaptation articles, replication studies, protocol articles, methodological innovations that could be used to advance body image research, unexpected/null results articles, and ideas worth researching. We encourage articles that center minoritized populations. Consistent with the Open Science initiative, we publish articles based on a strong theoretical rationale and scientific design rather than whether findings are statistically significant. We also encourage review-based and empirical-based special issues, especially those that bridge subfields and disciplines.Suitable topics for submission of manuscripts include (but are not limited to):The effects of body image and physical characteristics (e.g., body size, attractiveness, physical disfigurements or disorders) on psychological functioning, interpersonal processes, and quality of life;Body image and physical appearance in the full range of medical and allied health contexts;Body image in diverse cultural contexts;Development... validation, and adaptation (e.g., translation) of assessments of the body image construct;Factors that influence positive and negative body image development;Stigmati... and discrimination based on appearance and/or body function;Adaptive and maladaptive body image processes and their clinically relevant consequences on psychosocial functioning and quality of life;Relationship of body image to behavioral variables (e.g., exercise and other physical activity, eating and weight-control behaviors, grooming and appearance-modifying behaviors, and social behaviors); How body image may shape the ways we engage our bodies with the world (i.e., embodiment);Scientif... evaluation of interventions to promote positive body image or to prevent or treat body image difficulties and disorders.Impartiali... statement regarding citations. We, the editorial team, strongly encourage authors to cite the highest quality work believed to be most relevant to their article; we are impartial to the use of citations from Body Image versus other journals. We review and accept articles based on their scientific rationale, merits, design, analysis, and interpretation rather than the source of their citations.Note regarding string citations. We encourage authors to avoid excessive string citations, whereby multiple citations support a single statement, finding, or proposition, when such citations would be superfluous. In many cases, one citation will suffice, and this citation should be the best supporting reference for that statement, finding, or proposition. All important previous work can be included, and if a cite is important, there often will be additional text that accompanies it. Please note that we are okay with the overall number of references.Of note, the recommendation to avoid string citations does not apply to:Statements that include more than one finding. For example, "Over the past 10 years, researchers in a number of countries have begun to explore the relationship between positive body image and psychological well-being" needs multiple citations because authors are referring to researchers and countries (both plural. However, reference to all work that has explored this relationship is probably not needed. As another example, "research shows that body dissatisfaction is correlated with disordered eating, anxiety, and depression" may include multiple citations, with different citations supporting different aspects of this statement.Systematic reviews and meta-analyses whereby the citations are linked to relevant themes/data that are included in the analysis. The presence of string citations alone is not a reason to reject an article. If submitted articles contain string citations, the editorial team will simply note this, and it will be up to the author to decide whether to retain or remove citations if asked to revise and resubmit their article. The journal gives an annual award for the best doctoral dissertation in this field.- ISSN: 1740-1445

Mental Health and Physical Activity
Mental Health and Physical Activity is an international forum for scholarly reports on any aspect of relevance to advancing our understanding of the relationship between mental health and physical activity. We prioritize studies involving clinical populations, especially those with clearly stated and immediate treatment implications. Please note that papers which focus exclusively on mental health, or exclusively on physical activity, will not be considered. Manuscripts will be considered for publication which deal with high quality research, comprehensive research reviews, and critical reflection of applied or research issues. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches. Reports of practice will need to demonstrate academic rigour, preferably through analysis of programme effectiveness, and go beyond mere description. The aims of Mental Health and Physical Activity are:To foster the inter-disciplinary development and understanding of the mental health and physical activity field; To develop research designs and methods to advance our understanding; To promote the publication of high quality research on the effects of physical activity (interventions and a single session) on a wide range of dimensions of mental health and psychological well-being (e.g., depression, anxiety and stress responses, mood, cognitive functioning and neurological disorders, such as dementia, self-esteem and related constructs, psychological aspects of quality of life among people with physical and mental illness, sleep, addictive disorders), from both efficacy and effectiveness trials; To promote high quality research on the biophysical and psychosocial mechanisms involved to help our understanding of the link between physical activity and mental health, and guide intervention development; To provide an evidence-based source for professionals working in the field of mental health and a forum to consider service delivery issues.Notice to Authors Wishing to Submit to MENPA Mental Health and Physical Activity (MENPA) is becoming increasingly competitive. We continue to receive many more manuscripts than we can possibly publish. Therefore, in order to reduce any delay in publishing the best science, the following guidelines should be considered prior to submitting a manuscript, in addition to guidance from EQUATOR (https://www.equator... types of studies given the highest priority are the following:Etiologic or experimental studies testing a specific hypothesis or highlighting a specific mechanism relating physical activity or inactivity to mental health.Prospective or longitudinal studies.Randomised controlled trials, or related protocol papers which follow CONSORT guidelines. All submitted manuscripts reporting data from randomized controlled trials must include data on adherence to the trial intervention(s). Manuscripts that do not report adherence data will not be considered. We highly recommend that both intention-to-treat and per protocol analyses are included.Studies that are truly innovative and involve in-depth or novel data collection and analysis (including both quantitative and qualitative methods), or advance research methods.High quality, novel systematic reviews (based on quantitative and qualitative studies) that follow PRISMA guidelines. The following types of manuscripts will be given the lowest priority and are the most likely to be rejected without review:Small, cross-sectional, descriptive studies without any innovative features.Studies having no control or reference group, unless they are clearly part of a step in testing, using mixed methods, the feasibility and acceptability of an intervention within a larger program of study.Studies that involve statistical hypothesis testing of intervention effects when there is no justification for the sample size.Studies consisting of non-clinical samples, unless they clearly add to our understanding of the physical activity and well-being relationship.Studies in which physical activity is only a covariate of interest.Studies with no recognized measure of physical activity.Studies with a focus on coaching and sports psychology (e.g., optimizing athlete performance).- ISSN: 1755-2966

The journal delivers impactful, scholarly work that increases our understanding of past policy decisions, informs future decisions and programs, and shapes the development of space activities in their political, economic, industrial, legal, cultural, and social contexts.Alongside full-length papers, which are subject to a double-blind peer review system, the journal publishes case studies and short reports and invited debate series on salient policy topics. This provides policymakers and practitioners with both evidence-based analysis and different viewpoints to help inform and shape the future of humanity’s space activities. Views expressed in the journal are not necessarily those of the editors or members of the editorial board.- ISSN: 0265-9646

Computers & Education
Computers & Education aims to increase knowledge and understanding of ways in which digital technology can enhance education, through the publication of high-quality research, which extends theory and practice. The Editors welcome research papers on the pedagogical uses of digital technology, where the focus is broad enough to be of interest to a wider education community. We do not publish small-scale evaluations of specific software/systems in specialist domains or particular courses in individual institutions (unless the findings have broader relevance that is explicitly drawn out in the paper). Papers that include discussions of the implementation of software and/or hardware should focus on the context of use, the user/system interface, usability issues and evaluations of the user experience and impacts on and particularly on the implications for learning and teaching. Computers as a delivery platform only is insufficient. Detailed information on implementation architecture should NOT be included in the paper, but may be provided via URLs.We welcome systematic review papers and meta-analyses that include clear research questions, a framework of analysis, and conclusions that reflect the aims of the paper. See PRISMA guidelines for further advice.Authors should take care to refer to and abide by the author guidelines. Papers that do not address the criteria outlined in the author guidelines will be returned without review. Authors are also welcome to submit to the journal's open access companion titles, Computers & Education Open or Computers & Education: Artificial Intelligence.- ISSN: 0360-1315

Marine Policy
Marine Policy is the leading journal of ocean policy studies. Submissions to Marine Policy must contribute to the formulation and understanding of marine policy, and must be of interest to a broad audience of academics, stakeholders and officials. Marine Policy offers researchers, analysts, stakeholders and policy-makers a unique combination of analyses in the principal social science disciplines relevant to the formulation of marine policy. Articles represent perspectives from fields such as marine affairs, marine economics and resource management, political science, marine science, human ecology, international law, geography, normative theory, anthropology and similar disciplines. Focal areas include, but are not limited to: international, regional and national marine policies; institutional arrangements for the management and regulation of marine activities; conflict resolution; marine pollution and environment; conservation and use of marine resources. We are not a technical journal and will recommend that overly-technical papers are transferred to other more relevant journals. We will consider policy papers that do include a technical analysis, but only if this directly informs a policy analysis or discussion. We request that authors minimise the inclusion of formulas and model details needed to explain the methods and analysis in the main text. Detailed formulae and calculations should be included in an appendix or supplementary materials, and summarised in the main text.Submissions to Marine Policy must include a cover letter that briefly describes the background for the paper and its significance for marine policy formulation and understanding. The cover letter should also note any related work that may be publicly available, such as a Doctoral or Masters thesis, institutional report, etc, so as to avoid any misunderstandings regarding plagiarism. The cover letter should also note any ethics processes and considerations if your study included field research, human research (i.e interviews, quantitative or qualitative surveys, ethnographic observations etc) or animal research. The submission must include an abstract of approximately 250 words that is self-contained and readable on its own. The abstract should describe the key content areas, the purpose of the research, its relevance or importance for policy formulation and understanding, the methodology, and the main outcomes. Abstracts should also include the key terms that a potential researcher may use to search. Abstracts allow editors, reviewers and readers to assess whether the paper is relevant to their purpose, and are important to search engines.Regular features of Marine Policy include research reports, conference reports and reports on current developments to keep readers up-to-date with the latest developments and research in ocean affairs.- ISSN: 0308-597X
