Learning and Individual Differences
Journal of Psychology and EducationLearning and Individual Differences is a research journal devoted to publishing articles of individual differences as they relate to learning within an educational context. The Journal focuses on original empirical studies of high theoretical and methodological rigor that make a substantial scientific contribution and advance our knowledge on individual differences as they relate to cognitive and/or non-cognitive features across diverse learning contexts. The Journal receives submissions from different fields such as psychology, educational sciences, and the learning sciences and welcomes interdisciplinary research.Learning and Individual Differences publishes original research. There are three types of original articles: Full length articles, brief reports, and multistudy reports. Full length articles should be no longer than 8000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Brief reports should be no longer than 4000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Multistudy reports should be no longer than 12000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Systematic reviews with or without meta-analysis should be no longer than 15000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials).The core criteria for whether a manuscript is published are its scientific rigor and the new knowledge that it adds to the existing body of knowledge. To this end, we are particularly looking for manuscripts that report on longitudinal data analyses, include data on diverse (in the best case representative) or underrepresented populations, and combine several sources of information such as self-report and objective performance data. Inclusion of power calculations where appropriate is considered an advantage. Manuscripts that don't meet these criteria such as studies that are cross-sectional (in particular when they report mediation analyses), stem from highly specific samples, and include only self-reports need to make a strong case on why they advance our knowledge to a sufficient level for inclusion in the Journal and have a higher likelihood of not being considered for publication in Learning and Individual Differences.- ISSN: 1041-6080

Journal of Accounting Education
The Journal of Accounting Education (JAEd) is a refereed journal dedicated to promoting and publishing research on accounting education issues and to improving the quality of accounting education worldwide.The Journal provides a vehicle for making results of empirical studies available to educators and for exchanging ideas, instructional resources, and best practices that help improve accounting education. The Journal includes four sections: a Main Articles Section, a Teaching and Educational Notes Section, an Educational Case Section, and a Best Practices Section. Manuscripts published in the Main Articles Section generally present results of empirical studies, although non-empirical papers (such as policy-related or essay papers) are sometimes published in this section. Papers published in the Teaching and Educational Notes Section include short empirical pieces (e.g., replications) as well as instructional resources that are not properly categorized as cases, which are published in a separate Case Section. Note: as part of the Teaching Note accompany educational cases, authors must include implementation guidance (based on actual case usage) and evidence regarding the efficacy of the case vis-a-vis a listing of educational objectives associated with the case. To meet the efficacy requirement, authors must include direct assessment (e.g grades by case requirement/objectiv... or pre-post tests). Although interesting and encouraged, student perceptions (surveys) are considered indirect assessment and do not meet the efficacy requirement. The case must have been used more than once in a course to avoid potential anomalies and to vet the case before submission. Authors may be asked to collect additional data, depending on course size/circumstances.T... Best Practices section includes individual and institutional practices related to, for example, student recruitment, student advising, student retention, alumni relations, and efforts to integrate accounting practice and accounting education. These articles are typically shorter in length than Main Section (i.e., research-based) articles. While such papers do not need evidence obtained on the basis of an experimental design (e.g., pre- versus post-test comparison), some evidence regarding the value or benefit of the best practice should be included, along with a discussion of relevant costs (out-of-pocket as well as opportunity costs, such as faculty time, practitioner involvement, etc.). The Scandinavian Journal of Management (SJM) provides an international forum for multifaceted aspects of management, and we specifically encourage authors to challenge existing knowledge.We publish original empirical, theoretical and methodological material that contributes to enhance the understanding of management in any type of organization (e.g., small, large, private, public, non-profit, for-profit, entrepreneurial, craft or arts based, community based). We welcome non-mainstream research approaches in terms of methodology, epistemology and ontology and we also consider various fields of management application, but narrow technical discussions relevant only to specific sub-fields will not enter the peer review process. The journal welcomes full-length and short letter papers in the area of behavioral finance and experimental finance. The focus is on rapid dissemination of high-impact research in these areas.Behavioral and Experimental Finance represent lenses and approaches through which we can view financial decision-making. The aim of the journal is to publish high quality research in all fields of finance, where such research is carried out with a behavioral perspective and / or is carried out via experimental methods. Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports is aimed at all scholars, from anthropological archaeologists to scientific specialists, who are engaged with the application of scientific techniques and methods throughout the entire field of archaeology. The journal focuses on the results of scientific investigations applied to archaeological research questions, problems, and debates of wide interest and, in turn, their significance for understanding behaviors in the past. Corpus linguistics (CL) is a rapidly growing area of research worldwide, and CL techniques and approaches to large scale textual data analysis are being adopted and extended in a wide range of contexts. Corpus research is no longer confined primarily to the study of linguistics and to generalised language description but is now applied in diverse fields, such as forensic linguistics, social policy studies, food studies, anthropology, writing development studies, translation and interpreting, and the analysis of corporate and government communications.With this broadening of the range of applications of corpus methods and frameworks has come a need for a journal in which studies and reports can be brought together for an audience of researchers and practitioners that are interested in the range of applications of corpus linguistics. The role of Applied Corpus Linguistics is to provide a forum for further theorisation of corpus data analysis techniques, for the sharing of case studies and of new methods, and to advance the development and consolidation of applied corpus linguistics as a major force in social research.The journal welcomes contributions in the form of full length research articles, discussion papers, short technical papers and book reviews. While the emphasis is on applications rather than on theorisations, it is expected that all studies will be adequately theorised. As the intended readership extends beyond corpus linguistics, however, the focus must be on application and on communication of content to a non-specialist reader. Papers reporting technical innovations and novel data visualisation methods (for demonstrably effective communication) are encouraged.It is recognised that 'applied' is a term that defies easy definition. Journal of Business Venturing Design publishes original works that advance both theoretical understanding and the practice of entrepreneurship. JBVD does so by regarding entrepreneurship as a form of design to be studied as a design science. Entrepreneurship as design is broadly defined as the iterative and uncertainty facing process of establishing a new "business" (or "opportunity", "venture", "startup" etc.), typically by working with various intermediate artifacts. Studying entrepreneurship as a design science means that the ultimate, if not immediate, goal of all contributions should be instrumental, i.e. the development of knowledge or tools that improve the art and skill of entrepreneurial design. In this sense, entrepreneurship is similar to other design sciences such as engineering and medicine. And much like these fields draw on the physical and life sciences, entrepreneurship (and management more generally) in part relies on explanatory and descriptive knowledge produced in various social science disciplines. There is also potential in interdisciplinary contributions that relate entrepreneurial design to insights from other design science disciplines, such as product design, service design, organization design, software design, and information systems design.Importantly, the focus on instrumental knowledge does not imply that explanatory or descriptive research will not be published. It does, however, mean that such works should explicitly aim toward the development of more instrumental knowledge or tools. To illustrate, explanatory research seeking a general causal mechanism on the form 'X causes A under condition B' can be turned into an instrumental design principle if X can be manipulated with predictable results. Similarly, descriptive research seeking patterns in the details of specific situations may be turned in to design principles by gradually producing better understandings of how elements of the situation relate to one and other.The instrumentality of design science highlights its ethical dimension. As opposed to purely descriptive or explanatory sciences, design science more directly helps manipulate the world in particular directions, suggesting that design scientists have a potential moral responsibility for the knowledge and tools developed.Constraine... by the above, JBVD publishes high-quality conceptual and empirical works - regardless of disciplinary origins or methodological orientation - that advance our knowledge of entrepreneurship as design.
