Fundamentos de fisiología 3ª ed “, se presenta como una valiosa herramienta de aprendizaje, repaso y autoevaluación para el estudiante. Su cómodo formato y la anilla permiten ser consultadas de forma cómoda y fuera de las aulas. Al igual que en la pasada ed, en la cara podemos encontrar: Ilustraciones de Dr. Frank H. Netter y otros ilustradores médicos para identificar estructuras (base anatómica), Preguntas relacionadas con la función y Problemas matemáticos. En el dorso aparecen las respuestas correspondientes, ya sea a las etiquetas, a las preguntas formuladas o los problemas que incluyen fórmulas. Igualmente, en el caso de ser necesario se incluye un “comentario clínico”. En el dorso se encuentran también las referencias a la/s figura/s del texto. Entre las principales novedades, por un lado, cabe destacar la sustancial mejora en las ilustraciones, especialmente aquellas dedicadas a la fisiología gastrointestinal, así como la ampliación de la cobertura relativa a la fisiopatología, con un mayor número de correlaciones clínicas, incluidas las diferencias de género en la cardiopatía isquémica y la supuesta dependencia de la raza en los diferentes valores normales de TFG.
