Clearly and Accessibly: Encourage authors to present research in a way that is understandable and meaningful to a broad international audience of researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.Through these aims, IJER maintains its commitment to publishing high-quality, internationally significant research while embracing innovation, diversity, and the evolving challenges in education globally. What can papers be about?Papers can be on any contemporary educational topic of international interest. Reports of high quality educational research involving any discipline and methodology will be welcome. However, the journal's aim is to ensure it publishes high quality research that could potentially inform research, policy, or practice beyond the context in which the original work is undertaken. The research reported does not have to be comparative in the traditional sense of comparing aspects of education in different countries or cultures; a paper may report research carried out in just one location or cultural setting. Work can be drawn from any context or research paradigm. All papers, even those that focus on only one country's case study, must engage with broader theories and discussions in the field. We are specifically looking for originality and clear significance to an international readership. All manuscripts submitted to the Journal must have the following features:Explanation of how the question addressed in the paper relates to the existing literature;Explicitl... stated research question;Detailed description of the research design and data analysis;Discussion of the results (a) in light of the existing literature, (b) highlighting how the results inform research, policy, or practice beyond the context in which the original work is undertaken; All advice listed in the 'Instructions for Authors' must be followedAs well as papers, which report the findings of empirical research, papers, which provide critical literature reviews of research on specific educational topics of international interest, will also be welcome. Literature reviews need to explain in great detail the systematic procedures used for the selection of the literature included in the analysis.Types of publicationThe International Journal of Educational Research publishes research papers on specific topics of interest to international audiences of educational researchers. Unsolicited proposals for guest editorships or special issues will also not be accepted. How are papers assessed?Papers (including those in special issues) are subject to a peer review process, using an international panel of researchers who are expert in relevant fields. Referees are asked to judge the quality of research and also the relevance and accessibility of a paper for an international audience. The journal uses double anonymized peer reviews, meaning any reviewers are unable to establish the author(s) of a manuscript. For special issues, referees are asked first to judge the quality of a proposal, and then to judge the entire contents of a draft issue. More detailed information on this process is provided under Guide for Authors.- ISSN: 0883-0355

Drug and Alcohol Dependence
The Official Journal of The College on Problems of Drug DependenceDrug and Alcohol Dependence is an international journal devoted to publishing original research including clinical trials, basic and human experimental designs, large epidemiological studies, and scholarly review articles in the area of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and dependence. Articles range from studies of the chemistry of substances of use, their actions at molecular and cellular sites, in vitro and in vivo investigations of their biochemical, pharmacological and behavioral actions, laboratory-based and clinical research in humans, substance use treatment and prevention research, and studies employing methods from epidemiology, sociology, and economics. The rationale for this extensive coverage is the conviction that drug, alcohol and tobacco use/dependence cannot be understood in their entirety from a single perspective and that without an understanding of other areas of research, studies by individual investigators may be limited. The goal of the journal is to provide researchers, clinicians, and policy makers access to material from all perspectives in a single journal in a format that is understandable and which has received rigorous peer and editorial review. The hope of its editors is to promote mutual understanding of the many facets of drug use to the benefit of all investigators involved in drug and alcohol research, and to facilitate the transfer of scientific findings to successful treatment and prevention practices.Drug and Alcohol Dependence is currently available to all the members of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD), the oldest scientific organization in the United States concerned with research on problems of drug dependence. Relevant research areas include forensic science, computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, and smart technology. This journal is used by investigative agencies and forensic laboratories, computer security teams, practitioners, researchers, developers, and lawyers from industry, law enforcement, government, academia, and the military to share their knowledge and experiences, including current challenges and lessons learned in the following areas:Research and development: Novel research and development in forensic science, computer science, data science, and artificial intelligence applied to digital evidence and multimedia. New methods to deal with challenges in digital investigations, including applied research into analysing digital evidence and multimedia, exploiting specific technologies, and into preparing for and responding to computer security incidents.Cyber-crim... investigation: develop new methods of online investigation and analysis of financially motivated cyber-crime such as banking Trojans, phishing, ransomware and other forms of cyber-fraud. In addition, researching future criminal activity involving peer-to-peer payments and crypto currencies.Hardware Forensics: develop new methods of extracting and analyzing evidence from electronic hardware. This includes analyzing IoT devices, embedded systems, industrial control systems, automobiles, and other systems requiring hardware component access to extract data (e.g., chip-off, debugging interfaces like JTAG, fault injection).Cyber-ris... management: Improved ways of using digital evidence to address security breaches involving information systems, methods to find zero day attacks and to perform cyber threat intelligence. The techniques and findings of digital investigations are essential in drawing post-incident conclusions, which are vital feedback components of the security policy development process, and managing risk appetite.Case Notes: Brief investigative case studies with practical examples of how digital evidence is being used in digital investigations, forensic analysis, and incident response. Case Notes can also describe current challenges that practitioners are facing in cybercrime and computer security, highlighting areas that require further research, development or legislation. The format for Case Notes is simple and short: case background, any technical or legal challenges, the digital evidence and multimedia involved, processes and/or tools used, and outcomes (e.g., solutions, barriers, need for R&D). Please check the following example for preferred Case Note format: https://www.scienced... practices: Novel approaches to strengthening the scientific foundation and rigor of digital investigations, and to increasing the reliability of and confidence in processes, analysis methods, results, and conclusions involving digital evidence and multimedia.Effective practices: Studies that assess new practices in digital investigations and propose effective approaches to handling and processing digital evidence.Survey papers: Discussion of current methods and future needs relevant to digital investigations, including analysing digital evidence and multimedia from computers, smart technology, mobile phones, memory, malware, network traffic, as well as systems that support enterprises, telecommunications, and satellites. Learning and Individual Differences
Journal of Psychology and EducationLearning and Individual Differences is a research journal devoted to publishing articles of individual differences as they relate to learning within an educational context. The Journal focuses on original empirical studies of high theoretical and methodological rigor that make a substantial scientific contribution and advance our knowledge on individual differences as they relate to cognitive and/or non-cognitive features across diverse learning contexts. The Journal receives submissions from different fields such as psychology, educational sciences, and the learning sciences and welcomes interdisciplinary research.Learning and Individual Differences publishes original research. There are three types of original articles: Full length articles, brief reports, and multistudy reports. Full length articles should be no longer than 8000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Brief reports should be no longer than 4000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Multistudy reports should be no longer than 12000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Systematic reviews with or without meta-analysis should be no longer than 15000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). The core criteria for whether a manuscript is published are its scientific rigor and the new knowledge that it adds to the existing body of knowledge. To this end, we are particularly looking for manuscripts that report on longitudinal data analyses, include data on diverse (in the best case representative) or underrepresented populations, and combine several sources of information such as self-report and objective performance data. Inclusion of power calculations where appropriate is considered an advantage. Manuscripts that don't meet these criteria such as studies that are cross-sectional (in particular when they report mediation analyses), stem from highly specific samples, and include only self-reports need to make a strong case on why they advance our knowledge to a sufficient level for inclusion in the Journal and have a higher likelihood of not being considered for publication in Learning and Individual Differences.- ISSN: 1041-6080

A Journal of the World Conference on Transport Research SocietyTransport policy is a multidisciplinary field where engineering, economics, sociology and law must come together in well-articulated and effective solutions. Despite being a field of effective intervention, most scientific publications address transport policy with a theoretical and often abstract approach, making its understanding difficult for non-senior academics and even more opaque for practitioners. While the merits of case study methods both for undergraduate and graduate teaching are recognised, academics struggle to find empirical material that provides objective and operational illustration of the theories and approaches lectured. This is a major barrier not only in the teaching context but also for practitioners.Case Studies on Transport Policy covers this gap by providing a repository of relevant material to support teaching and transferability of experiences. Observation of field experience highlighting the details and drawbacks of implementation is invaluable to show how Transport Policy can be applied in the operational field, maintaining consistency with strategic options. Teaching with case studies introduces students to challenges they may face in the real world, and provides a very rich learning method for executive training at every institutional level. For practitioners, and specially governments, case studies are a powerful tool to show the potential benefits from policy measures and packages.Case Studies on Transport Policy and its sister journal Transport Policy provide a valuable reference for the specialised study of transport policy offering in-depth theoretical analysis and detailed case study description and analysis, and in this way providing very complete material for decision makers planners and practitioners to undertake transferability of experiences.- ISSN: 2213-624X
