Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology was established in 1974 to meet the demand for integrated publication on all aspects related to the genetic and biochemical effects, synthesis and secretions of extracellular signals (hormones, neurotransmitters, etc.) and to the understanding of cellular regulatory mechanisms involved in hormonal control.The journal is fulfilling this aim by publishing full-length original research papers, rapid papers, reviews, invited Special Issues, and book reviews.The scope encompasses all subjects related to genetic, epigenetic, biochemical, and molecular aspects of endocrine research and cell regulation. These include: (1) mechanisms of action of extracellular signals (hormones, neurotransmitters, etc.), (2) interaction of these factors with receptors, (3) generation, action and role of intracellular signals such as cyclic nucleotides and calcium, (4) hormone-regulated gene expression, (5) impact of gene structure on endocrine functions, (6) structure and physicochemical properties of hormones, hormone receptors and other hormone-binding components, (7) synthesis, secretion, metabolism and inactivation of hormones, neurotransmitters, etc. (8) hormonal control of differentiation, (9) related control mechanisms in non-mammalian systems, (10) methodological and theoretical aspects related to hormonal control processes, (11) clinical and translational studies as far as they throw new light on basic research in this field, (12) control of intermediary metabolism at the cellular level, (13) ultrastructural aspects related to hormone secretion and action, (14) comparative aspects of endocrinology only if they elucidate novel hormonal mechanisms.

An International Publication for Nutrition to Advance Food and Life Science ResearchThe mission of Nutrition Research is to serve as the premier journal for the global communication of nutrition sciences research. Our primary goal is to publish research across the broad field of nutrition sciences that advances human health and promotes clinical applications through a comprehensive understanding of dietary patterns, foods, nutrients, and bioactive food components. This understanding includes exploring diet-related interactions with environmental exposures, human behavior, genetics, and underlying health status.Nutrition Research aims to contribute to the advancement of fundamental knowledge and facilitate research translation in support of public health. We achieve this by publishing nutrition sciences research that establishes mechanisms and demonstrates the efficacy or detriment of dietary exposures and interventions. We welcome studies conducted in humans, populations, and cellular and animal models, particularly those related to biomolecular nutrition, precision nutrition, (multi)omic workflows, nutrition interventions, randomized controlled trials, and novel methodological approaches and techniques that advance the nutrition sciences field. Furthermore, Nutrition Research is committed to promoting diversity, equity, inclusivity, and justice in the field through the dedicated efforts of its globally diverse editorial board. We also actively encourage the submission of research from all geographic regions and topics addressing health inequities and improvements in the health of vulnerable and/or underrepresented populations.Nutrition Research publishes peer-reviewed research and articles related to all aspects of nutrition sciences that are relevant to the health of humans and populations. Pedobiologia (Journal of Soil Ecology) publishes peer reviewed articles describing original work in the field of soil ecology, which includes the study of soil organisms and their interactions with factors in their biotic and abiotic environments. Perspectives in Plant Ecology, Evolution and Systematics (PPEES) publishes outstanding and thought-provoking articles of general interest to an international readership in the fields of plant ecology, evolution and systematics. Of particular interest are in-depth articles that provide a broad understanding of key topics in the field. There are four issues per year.To maintain high scientific standards, manuscripts are submitted to two or more reviewers for evaluation of their scientific soundness and significance. Authors will be generally notified of acceptance, rejection, or need for revision of their manuscripts within three months.Biological flora series (monographs of model species) PPEES is particularly interested in contributions to the knowledge of species that are flagship species for conservation, invasive species of particular concern, or species that are frequently used as models in ecological research.
