Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology publishes original research, review, and perspective articles focusing on the physiological, biochemical, and molecular aspects of plant and animal protection agents. These include chemical and microbial pesticides, pesticidal proteins and nucleic acids, parasiticides, repellents, and growth regulators. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, modes of action; detoxification pathways; resistance mechanisms; regulatory pathways influencing toxicity; biochemical and molecular strategies to enhance pesticide efficacy; and the development of nucleic acid–based pesticides and related biotechnologies for pest management.

Manuscripts are considered unsuitable if their primary focus is on pesticide efficacy testing; laboratory studies involving pesticide formulations or crude extracts from plants or other organisms; or computational analyses such as bioinformatics, molecular modeling, or docking without experimental validation. Studies investigating non-target effects at environmentally irrelevant doses or concentrations are also not appropriate for this journal.
