Behaviour Research and Therapy
An International Multi-Disciplinary Journal. The major focus of Behaviour Research and Therapy is an experimental psychopathology approach to understanding emotional and behavioral disorders and their prevention and treatment, using cognitive, behavioral, and psychophysiological (including neural) methods and models. This includes laboratory-based experimental studies with healthy, at risk and subclinical individuals that inform clinical application as well as studies with clinically severe samples. The following types of submissions are encouraged: theoretical reviews of mechanisms that contribute to psychopathology and that offer new treatment targets; tests of novel, mechanistically focused psychological interventions, especially ones that include theory-driven or experimentally-deriv... predictors, moderators and mediators; and innovations in dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices into clinical practice in psychology and associated fields, especially those that target underlying mechanisms or focus on novel approaches to treatment delivery. In addition to traditional psychological disorders, the scope of the journal includes behavioural medicine (e.g., chronic pain). The journal will consider manuscripts dealing primarily with measurement and psychometric analyses if relevant to the primary focus of the journal (e.g., transdiagnostic mechanisms).The Editor and Associate Editors will make an initial determination of whether or not submissions fall within the scope of the journal and/or are of sufficient merit and importance to warrant full review.

Gynecologic Oncology
Gynecologic Oncology is the The Society of Gynecologic Oncology's (SGO) official peer-reviewed journal. It is dedicated to publishing high-quality science and educational content that addresses the full continuum of gynecologic cancer care.The Journal will publish innovative research that provides actionable insights related to prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship in gynecologic cancers. The focus of these publications will generally be clinically relevant and includes clinical trials, radiation and surgical innovation, health outcomes and diversity research, epidemiology, and patient-centered quality of life research. Translational research with promise to affect clinical treatment innovation will receive priority.With an international editorial board of experts and key opinion leaders, the Journal will support multiple stakeholders as they aim to solve complex gynecologic cancer problems. Providing essential reading for all stakeholders we will publish original research, invited reviews, editorials, perspectives, and correspondence. Importantly, as the official journal of the SGO, the Journal will publish communications from the SGO including abstracts, practice statements and guidelines.

Livestock Science
Livestock Science promotes the sound development of the livestock sector by publishing original, peer-reviewed research and review articles covering all aspects of the broad field of animal production and animal science. The journal welcomes submissions on the avant-garde areas of animal genetics, breeding, growth, reproduction, nutrition, physiology, and behaviour in addition to genetic resources, welfare, ethics, health, management and production systems. The high-quality content of this journal reflects the truly international nature of this broad area of research. Submissions focusing on diagnosis, disease treatments and epidemiology are not welcomed and works entirely based on either laboratory work or laboratory animals are only rarely considered. Papers presenting reviews and meta-analyses must ensure that they provide new insights to our readers. When the novelty of the research presented (including meta-analyses) is due to the methods used, authors are encouraged to classify their works as either Short Communications or Technical Notes. Although the use of commercial compounds is allowed, they must not be the basis of the research presented. Our board does not consider papers based on the use of drugs in experiments, such as antibiotics in animal nutrition or behaviour modifiers in animal breeding.

Official Journal of the Society for Cardiovascular PathologyA Journal of Basic, Clinical and Applied Cardiovascular Science, Cardiovascular Pathology is a bimonthly journal that presents articles on topics covering the entire spectrum of cardiovascular disease. The Journal's primary objective is to publish papers on disease-oriented morphology and pathogenesis from clinicians and scientists in the cardiovascular field. Subjects covered include cardiovascular biology, prosthetic devices, molecular biology and experimental models of cardiovascular disease.The Journal publishes articles on all aspects of cardiovascular disease, but with a particular focus on the pathology and pathogenesis of these entities. Authors are invited to submit original research articles. Brief communications, case reports with significant new findings, as well as letters to the Editors will be considered. Mental Health and Physical Activity
Mental Health and Physical Activity is an international forum for scholarly reports on any aspect of relevance to advancing our understanding of the relationship between mental health and physical activity. Please note that papers which focus exclusively on mental health, or exclusively on physical activity, will not be considered. Manuscripts will be considered for publication which deal with high quality research, comprehensive research reviews, and critical reflection of applied or research issues. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches. Reports of practice will need to demonstrate academic rigour, preferably through analysis of programme effectiveness, and go beyond mere description.The aims of Mental Health and Physical Activity are:(1) To foster the inter-disciplinary development and understanding of the mental health and physical activity field; (2) To develop research designs and methods to advance our understanding; (3) To promote the publication of high quality research on the effects of physical activity (interventions and a single session) on a wide range of dimensions of mental health and psychological well-being (e.g., depression, anxiety and stress responses, mood, cognitive functioning and neurological disorders, such as dementia, self-esteem and related constructs, psychological aspects of quality of life among people with physical and mental illness, sleep, addictive disorders, eating disorders), from both efficacy and effectiveness trials; (4) To promote high quality research on the biophysical and psychosocial mechanisms involved to help our understanding of the link between physical activity and mental health, and guide intervention development; (5) To provide an evidence-based source for professionals working in the field of mental health and a forum to consider service delivery issues.Benefits to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. We continue to receive many more manuscripts than we can possibly publish. Therefore, in order to reduce any delay in publishing the best science, the following guidelines should be considered prior to submitting a manuscript, in addition to guidance from EQUATOR (https://www.equator... types of studies given the highest priority are the following:Etiologic or experimental studies testing a specific hypothesis or highlighting a specific mechanism relating physical activity or inactivity to mental health.Prospective or longitudinal studies.Randomised controlled trials, or related protocol papers which follow CONSORT guidelines. All submitted manuscripts reporting data from randomized controlled trials must include data on adherence to the trial intervention(s). Manuscripts that do not report adherence data will not be considered. We highly recommend that both intention-to-treat and per protocol analyses are included.Studies that are truly innovative and involve in-depth or novel data collection and analysis (including both quantitative and qualitative methods), or advance research methods.High quality, novel systematic reviews (based on quantitative and qualitative studies) that follow PRISMA guidelines.The following types of manuscripts will be given the lowest priority and are the most likely to be rejected without review:Small, cross-sectional, descriptive studies without any innovative features.Studies having no control or reference group, unless they are clearly part of a step in testing, using mixed methods, the feasibility and acceptability of an intervention within a larger program of study.Studies that involve statistical hypothesis testing of intervention effects when there is no justification for the sample size.Studies consisting of non-clinical samples, unless they clearly add to our understanding of the physical activity and well-being relationship.Studies in which physical activity is only a covariate of interest.Studies with no recognized measure of physical activity.

Comparative Immunology, Microbiology & Infectious Diseases
An International Journal focused on Comparative Veterinary and Medical ResearchComparative Immunology, Microbiology & Infectious Diseases aims to respond to the concept of "One Medicine - One Health" and to provide a venue for scientific exchange. Based on the concept of "Comparative Medicine" interdisciplinary cooperation between specialists in human and animal medicine is of mutual interest and benefit. Therefore, there is need to combine the respective interest of physicians, veterinarians and other health professionals for comparative studies relevant to either human or animal medicine .CIMID is mainly focusing on applied veterinary medicine with a particular focus on zoonotic pathogens. It includes etiology, biology, clinical diseases, epidemiology, diagnosis, control. Experimental in vitro studies and studies on laboratory animals are generally not accepted. Non infectious diseases are not accepted. Specific focus on human diseases can only be accepted if it concerns major zoonotic pathogens. Reviews are generally not accepted, except if they contain new or recent developments. CIMID does not accept manuscript focusing on Mycology.The journal is open to subjects of common interest related to the immunology, immunopathology, microbiology, parasitology and epidemiology of human and animal infectious diseases, especially zoonotic infections, and animal models of human infectious diseases. The role of environmental factors in disease emergence is emphasized. CIMID is mainly focusing on applied veterinary and human medicine rather than on fundamental experimental research.Original research papers of high quality and novelty on aspects of host response, molecular biology, pathogenesis, control and prevention and treatment of microbial and parasitic diseases of domestic animals and wildlife (if the infections are of zoonotic interest and/or in relation with domestic animals and/or can serve as a model for human diseases). Papers dealing primarily with epidemiology will be considered if they demonstrate a clear impact on the clinical features, pathogenesis or prevention of a disease. Similarly, articles addressing microbiology, parasitology, immunology or pathogenesis must address issues of comparative medical interest. Manuscripts focusing on probiotics or diseases and/or immunology of fishes are not part of our overall scope, as they are better fitted to more specialized journals. Manuscripts dealing with food hygiene and food risk are not part of our overall scope. Manuscripts dealing strictly with experimental design and fundamental research may not be considered depending the overall consequences for the knowledge of a disease.Review articles can be accepted. They should focus either on a pathogen or on analyses of the mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions including epidemiological studies. Proposal for such manuscripts should be submitted to the Co-Editors in Chief for approval before submitting the manuscript.Papers focusing solely on diagnostic techniques, case reports or drug trials will generally not be accepted. Papers of geographically limited interest, which repeat what had been established elsewhere, will not be considered. The readership of the journal is global. An International Journal for Functional Aspects of VisionVision Research is a journal devoted to the functional aspects of human, vertebrate and invertebrate vision and publishes experimental and observational studies, reviews, and theoretical and computational analyses. Vision Research also publishes clinical studies relevant to normal visual function and basic research relevant to visual dysfunction or its clinical investigation. Functional aspects of vision is interpreted broadly, ranging from molecular and cellular function, to perception and behavior. Detailed descriptions are encouraged but enough introductory background should be included for non-specialists. Theoretical and computational papers should give a sense of order to the facts or point to new verifiable observations. Papers dealing with questions in the history of vision science should stress the development of ideas in the field.Vision Research publishes both reviews and minireviews. A minireview is not intended to be a comprehensive overview, but rather a survey of recent developments in a fast-growing and active area of vision research. Reviews and minireviews are generally invited, but proposals for either may also be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief.Visi... Research welcomes Letters to the Editor in response to articles published in the journal. A Letter considered for publication is sent out for review and at the same time forwarded to the author or authors of the published article. Appetite
Appetite is an international research journal specializing in cultural, social, psychological, sensory and physiological influences on the selection and intake of foods and drinks. It covers normal and disordered eating and drinking and welcomes studies of both human and non-human animal behaviour toward food. Appetite publishes research reports, reviews and commentaries. Thematic special issues appear regularly. From time to time the journal carries abstracts from professional meetings.
