The Agricultural and Biological Sciences collection advances science-based knowledge for the improvement of animal and plant life and for secure food systems that produce nutritious, novel, sustainable foods with minimal environmental impact. Food Science titles include not only those products from agriculture but all other aspects from food production to nutrition, health and safety, chemistry to security, policy, law and regulation. Biological Sciences address animal behaviour and biodiversity, organismal and evolutionary biology, entomology, marine biology and aquaculture, plant science and forestry.

Vaccine
The official journal of The Japanese Society for Vaccinology.Vaccine is unique in publishing the highest quality science across all disciplines relevant to the field of vaccinology - all original article submissions across basic and clinical research, vaccine manufacturing, history, public policy, behavioral science and ethics, social sciences, safety, and many other related areas are welcomed. The submission categories as given in the Guide for Authors indicate where we receive the most papers. Papers outside these major areas are also welcome and authors are encouraged to contact us with specific questions. We also invite authors to submit relevant basic science and clinical reviews, methodological articles, opinion and commentary pieces, visual pieces, and letters. Authors are required to consult the Guide for Authors as the submission guidelines are dynamic and therefore subject to change.Vaccine has an open access companion journal titled Vaccine: X.The Editors retain the right to desk reject submissions without peer review when it is clear that the Guide for Authors has not been consulted.

The Journal of Food Composition and Analysis publishes high-quality research on the chemical composition, analytical methodologies, and data management of human foods. The Journal for Nature Conservation addresses concepts, methods and techniques for nature conservation. This international and interdisciplinary journal encourages collaboration between scientists and practitioners, including the integration of biodiversity issues with social and economic concepts. Aquatic Toxicology does not consider articles that focus on monitoring the presence of chemicals in the environment unless these studies further investigate the impacts of the chemicals on aquatic organisms and/or ecological systems. Furthermore, studies that characterize the potential risks of contaminated fish or other aquatic food products on humans or livestock are outside of the scope of the journal.

Theriogenology is a journal for researchers, practitioners, clinicians, and industry professionals.Therio... aims to cover animal reproductive physiology, management and biotechnologies. It mainly publishes research articles and may only accept unsolicited reviews if they are on cutting edge fields and are prepared by teams with outstanding expertise on the relevant subjects.Species of interest for the journal include:• Farm animals (cattle, swine, small ruminants) • Companion animals (horses, dogs, cats) • Farmed poultry and farmed fish. Please note that papers dealing with wildlife are not eligible for submission to “Theriogenology” and should rather be directed towards “Theriogenology Wild”.Theriogenology does not accept submissions reporting studies conducted in humans. Furthermore, toxicological studies run in animals to document risks/effects in humans of drugs, plant extracts and environmental pollutants are also outside the scope of Theriogenology.

Limnologica
Limnologica publishes peer-reviewed articles that provide new insights into biological, physical and chemical aspects of freshwater ecosystems and adjacent habitats, both from basic and applied research. We welcome original contributions and reviews to understanding mechanisms that govern ecosystem responses to environmental change (e.g. trophic state, climate, usage, impoundment) or to problem-solving (e.g. ecological engineering, bioindication, restoration and conservation) as well as contributions on aquatic ecosystems or world regions that have been less frequently studied. Limnologica is a primary journal for limnologists, aquatic ecologists, freshwater biologists, aquatic geochemists and environmental engineers working with freshwater ecosystems and their catchments.

Food and Chemical Toxicology
Affiliated with the Chinese Society of ToxicologyFood and Chemical Toxicology (FCT) is an internationally renowned journal that publishes original research articles and reviews on toxic effects and toxic mechanisms of natural or synthetic chemicals occurring in the human environment (present in food and/or the human environment). The scope of the journal includes drugs, consumer chemicals/products (e.g. cosmetics); agricultural chemicals/products (e.g. pesticides) and industrial chemicals (e.g relevant to occupational exposure). Areas such as safety evaluation of novel foods and ingredients, biotechnologically-d... products and nanomaterials are included in the scope of the journal. In these cases, a comprehensive characterisation of the materials under evaluation is necessary. FCT also encourages submission of papers on inter-relationships between nutrition and toxicology and on in vitro techniques, particularly those fostering the 3 Rs.In addition, the journal also publishes Special Issues focussed on selected subject areas. These issues typically involve new areas of interest or concern and there will be some flexibility in the papers considered in terms of scope.The principal aim of the journal is to publish high impact, scholarly work and to serve as a multidisciplinary forum for research in Toxicology. Harmful Algae
This journal provides a forum to promote knowledge of harmful microalgae and macroalgae, including cyanobacteria, as well as monitoring, management and control of these organisms. Both original research and review papers will be considered.Papers dealing with the following aspects of harmful microalgae and cyanobacteria in marine and fresh waters will be considered: • The distribution, life histories and taxonomy of harmful microalgae; • The physiology and toxicology of harmful microalgae; • Harmful microalgal bloom ecology; • Trophic, socio-economic, public health and aquacultural impacts of harmful microalgal bloom events; • Occurrence, methods of detection and chemical structure of toxins in harmful microalgae, cyanobacteria, foodwebs and seafood; • Factors controlling toxin production, biosynthesis and chemical ecology.Note: Papers dealing with pharmacology fall outside of the scope of the journal.All papers will be subject to peer review.
