Electronic Energy Levels of Transition Metal Complexes guides the reader to understand how to comprehensively calculate (predict, reconstruct) electronic energy levels of separation between 0,1 to 30,000 cm-1 in d1 to d9 transition metal complexes. The applied apparatus helps to understand the individual effect of the interelectron repulsion, crystal field strength, spin-orbit coupling and the magnetic field for any symmetry. Symmetry labels can be attached to energy levels (eigenvalues) by analyzing the eigenvectors of the model Hamiltonian either at the level of crystal-field terms or crystal-field multiplets. This book includes basic formulae for matrix elements of the model Hamiltonian and a huge number of results presented as graphs identifying the order of the energy levels and their labelling using the group (double group) irreducible representations. Utilization of the generated energy levels in electron spectroscopy, electron spin resonance and magnetochemistry is presented. Massive modelling was done using the desktop computers.

Annual Reports on NMR Spectroscopy, Volume 113 presents the latest release in a series that has established itself as a premier resource for both specialists and non-specialists interested in new techniques and applications pertaining to NMR spectroscopy.Magneti... resonance now has a history exceeding 70 years. Not only has the range of applications of magnetic resonance-based techniques grown exponentially but so too has the literature. Consequently, a distillation and synthesis of the literature is in itself an extremely important research tool, providing an efficient means to take newcomers to the research frontiers and keeping experienced researchers aware of contemporary practice. Since 1968 Annual Reports on NMR Spectroscopy been at the vanguard of reviewing the magnetic resonance literature. Annual Reports on NMR Spectroscopy covers magnetic resonance in all its forms, including theory, experiment, applications, and interconnections with other techniques. It also provides the opportunity to make coherent aspects of magnetic resonance that were scattered and opaque. Deep Eutectic Solvents highlights well-established research and technology on applications of DESs in corrosion sciences, protein chemistry, and organic synthesis, as well as separation science. This book provides state-of-the-art research that will revolutionize modern practices. Neoteric solvents have been proposed as a better substitute to these harmful organic solvents, and scientists have come up with various neoteric solvents in the last few years like Deep Eutectic solvents (DESs). DESs are defined as a system formed from a eutectic mixture of Lewis or Brønsted acids and bases with various ionic species- whereas ionic liquids (ILs) consist of a discrete anion and a cation.DESs stand out as a greener and cheaper neoteric solvent as compared to ILs. DESs are denser than water and fairly polar, thus can be utilized as non-aqueous substitute to water in many separation processes. DESs have very high distribution coefficient of solutes, and even dissolves gases and metal oxides selectively. They also readily dissolve organic macromolecules, thereby becoming useful in pharmacological applications.
