Research in Economics
Established in 1947, Research in Economics is one of the oldest general-interest economics journals in the world and the main one among those based in Italy. The purpose of the journal is to select original theoretical and empirical articles that will have high impact on the debate in the social sciences; since 1947, it has published important research contributions on a wide range of topics.A summary of our editorial policy is this: the editors make a preliminary assessment of whether the results of a paper, if correct, are worth publishing. If so one of the associate editors reviews the paper: from the reviewer we expect to learn if the paper is understandable and coherent and - within reasonable bounds - the results are correct.We believe that long lags in publication and multiple demands for revision simply slow scientific progress. Our goal is to provide you a definitive answer within one month of submission. We give the editors one week to judge the overall contribution and if acceptable send your paper to an associate editor. We expect the associate editor to provide a more detailed evaluation within three weeks so that the editors can make a final decision before the month expires.In the (rare) case of a revision we allow four months and in the case of conditional acceptance we allow two months to submit the final version. In both cases we expect a cover letter explaining how you met the requirements. For conditional acceptance the editors will verify that the requirements were met. In the case of revision the original associate editor will do so. If the revision cannot be at least conditionally accepted it is rejected: there is no second revision.

Journal of Memory and Language
Articles in the Journal of Memory and Language contribute to the formulation of scientific issues and theories in the broad areas of memory and language (learning, comprehension and production). The journal's focus is on describing the mental processes that underpin these capacities. Special emphasis is given to research articles that provide new theoretical insights based on a carefully laid empirical foundation. The journal generally favors articles that provide multiple experiments. Computers & Education
Computers & Education aims to increase knowledge and understanding of ways in which digital technology can enhance education, through the publication of high-quality research, which extends theory and practice. The Editors welcome research papers on the pedagogical uses of digital technology, where the focus is broad enough to be of interest to a wider education community.We do not publish small-scale evaluations of specific software/systems in specialist domains or particular courses in individual institutions (unless the findings have broader relevance that is explicitly drawn out in the paper). Papers that include discussions of the implementation of software and/or hardware should focus on the context of use, the user/system interface, usability issues and evaluations of the user experience and impacts on and particularly on the implications for learning and teaching. Computers as a delivery platform only is insufficient. Detailed information on implementation architecture should NOT be included in the paper, but may be provided via URLs.We welcome systematic review papers and meta-analyses that include clear research questions, a framework of analysis, and conclusions that reflect the aims of the paper. See PRISMA guidelines for further advice.Authors should take care to refer to and abide by the author guidelines. Papers that do not address the criteria outlined in the author guidelines will be returned without review. Authors are also welcome to submit to the journal's open access companion titles, Computers & Education Open or Computers & Education: Artificial Intelligence.

Journal of Environmental Economics and Management
The Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (JEEM) publishes theoretical and empirical papers addressing economic questions related to natural resources and the environment. To warrant publication in JEEM, papers must include carefully identified empirical findings, insightful theoretical analyses, or creative methodologies that are both novel and of broad interest to its readership.We recognize the boundaries of environmental and resource economics are subjective and evolving, but topics of interest include:Environmenta... policy design and instrument choice;Nonmarket valuation methods and their application to new, policy-relevant settings;Environment... behavior of firms, government officials and agencies, nonprofit organizations, households, or individuals;Renewabl... and non-renewable resource management and policy such as the economics of fisheries, forestry and fossil fuels;Climate change;Topics at the intersection of environmental and resource economics and development economics, energy economics, industrial organization, urban economics, transport economics, health economics, or agricultural economics.We also welcome interdisciplinary work from diverse teams of researchers as long as the paper's primary contribution focuses on economic questions.We do not publish book reviews, literature reviews, or policy briefs, and we rarely publish papers that replicate previously identified empirical relationships or apply established methods to new case studies. We also do not publish theoretical analyses that merely extend results from well-known models.In our review process, we pre-screen all papers and desk reject some. Papers that are desk rejected typically are considered poor topical or methodological fits or significantly below JEEM's quality standards.Papers that are rejected by JEEM will not be reconsidered for publication unless the editor in his or her decision letter makes this possibility explicit.

The International Journal of Educational Research publishes research papers in the field of Education. Papers published in IJER address themes of major interest to researchers, practitioners, and policy makers working in different international contexts. Work must be of a quality and context that the Editorial Board think would be of interest to an international readership. The aims and scope of the journals are to: Publish high quality papers that are of international significance in terms of design and/or findings;Publish papers on topics that are of international significance across educational contexts and which discuss explicitly how the findings of the paper can inform research, policy, or practice beyond the context in which the original work is undertaken;Promote greater equality and representation in academic publishing and be inclusive of a variety of knowledge traditions. Reports of high quality educational research involving any discipline and methodology will be welcome. However, the journal's aim is to ensure it publishes high quality research that could potentially inform research, policy, or practice beyond the context in which the original work is undertaken.The research reported does not have to be comparative in the traditional sense of comparing aspects of education in different countries or cultures; a paper may report research carried out in just one location or cultural setting. Work can be drawn from any context or research paradigm. All papers, even those that focus on only one country's case study, must engage with broader theories and discussions in the field. Regular issues of research papers have an open call for manuscripts. Strong manuscripts will be reviewed. There is an Editorial Board policy that weaker manuscripts or manuscripts that do not follow the Guidelines for Authors will be rejected before review.Special issues are usually composed of individually invited manuscripts handled by a guest editor. Guest editors have responsibility for putting together the author team and handling the peer review process. Note that proposals for Special Issues must follow the format descripted in the Guide for Authors.How are papers assessed?Papers (including those in special issues) are subject to a peer review process, using an international panel of researchers who are expert in relevant fields. Referees are asked to judge the quality of research and also the relevance and accessibility of a paper for an international audience. The journal uses double anonymized peer reviews, meaning any reviewers are unable to establish the author(s) of a manuscript. Authors must propose three reviewers for their manuscripts. These reviewers should be international in scope and at least one of them should be from an English language speaking country. Authors should not suggest reviewers from their own institution or reviewers where a conflict of interest may arise for the reviewer. For special issues, referees are asked first to judge the quality of a proposal, and then to judge the entire contents of a draft issue.
