Journals in Pharmacology
Elsevier's Pharmacology collection studies how drugs interact with biological systems to improve health and treat disease. It covers pharmacodynamics, exploring drug effects on biology, and pharmacokinetics, studying how the body affects drugs. Branches like Pharmacogenetics. Essential for pharmacologists, this collection offers invaluable insights into drug interactions, efficacy, and safety, crucial for advancing drug development and improving patient outcomes.
Clinical Therapeutics
Clinical Therapeutics provides peer-reviewed, rapid publication of recent developments in drugs, biologicals, and other therapies as well as in diagnostics, pharmacoeconomics, health policy, treatment outcomes, and innovations in drug and biologics research and development. In addition, Clinical Therapeutics features updates on specific topics collated by expert Topic Editors and Guest Editors. Clinical Therapeutics is read by a large international audience of scientists and clinicians in a variety of research, academic, and clinical practice settings. Articles are indexed by all major biomedical abstracting databases.Published articles range from pivotal studies exploring new chemical entities in large, multicenter trials to those exploring repurposing of marketed agents. Additionally, pilot study reports that assess drug safety and tolerability in all phases of development, new routes of drug administration and formulations, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, bioavailability, and biosimilarity and changes in practice guidelines, standards, policies and regulations are all of interest for publication. Clinical Therapeutics also understands the importance of strengthening the body of publicly accessible evidence surrounding particular agents through the publication of replication studies, negative trials, and failed trials.Beyond therapeutic clinical applications, we seek reports that examine the real-world implications of therapeutics such as comparative effectiveness and pharmacoeconomics studies as well as work that has implications for health policy. Commentaries, which include perspectives and contemporary issues, are sought to offer a balance of viewpoints and scholarly opinion on a broad array of drug-related topics. Case reports, which remain a vital part of our mission, offer clinically valuable lessons. All manuscripts are peer reviewed by independent clinicians or scientists for clinical relevance, technical accuracy, methodological rigor, clarity, and objectivity using a blind review process. In addition to feature articles published monthly, Clinical Therapeutics regularly features a specific theme section dedicated to an annual update of a specific topic area. A special guest editor will comprise each update with reviews, commentaries, and original research highlighting what's new or controversial in the topical specialty. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts for consideration in the topic updates, identifying submissions as such in their cover letters. Submissions not selected for the updates will be considered for general publication. Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology
Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology publishes the results of studies concerning toxic and pharmacological effects of (human and veterinary) drugs and of environmental contaminants in animals and man.Areas of special interest are: molecular mechanisms of toxicity, biotransformation and toxicokinetics (including toxicokinetic modelling), molecular, biochemical and physiological mechanisms explaining differences in sensitivity between species and individuals, the characterisation of pathophysiological models and mechanisms involved in the development of effects and the identification of biological markers that can be used to study exposure and effects in man and animals. In addition to full length papers, short communications, full-length reviews and mini-reviews, Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology will publish in depth assessments of special problem areas. The latter publications may exceed the length of a full length paper three to fourfold. A basic requirement is that the assessments are made under the auspices of international groups of leading experts in the fields concerned. The information examined may either consist of data that were already published, or of new data that were obtained within the framework of collaborative research programmes. Provision is also made for the acceptance of minireviews on (classes of) compounds, toxicities or mechanisms, debating recent advances in rapidly developing fields that fall within the scope of the journal.- ISSN: 1382-6689

Molecular Aspects of Medicine
Molecular Aspects of Medicine is a review journal for Physicians and Biomedical Scientists and an official journal of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Molecular Aspects of Medicine aims to encourage the bridging of the gap between clinicians of all relevant specialities and biomedical scientists. The journal anticipates that most of the authors contributing to the series will be practising clinical scientists who will develop their own personal perspective as an extended review on the molecular aspects of a field of medicine in which they are working, addressing themselves both to the doctor who is ill-at-ease with basic science, and to the basic scientist with little awareness of the problems of clinical practice. It publishes articles on a spectrum of topics in medicine to illustrate not only the molecular insights that derive from the application of basic science, but also the variety of challenging problems that medicine is able to offer the basic scientist.Submission... on from biochemistry and molecular and cell biology to physiology, pharmacology and pathology are particularly welcomed.- ISSN: 0098-2997

Journal of Ethnopharmacology
The Journal of Ethnopharmacology is the Official Journal of the International Society for Ethnopharmacology. The journal is dedicated to the exchange of information and understandings about people's use of plants, fungi, animals, microorganisms and minerals and their biological and pharmacological effects based on the principles established through international conventions. The Journal of Ethnopharmacology publishes original articles concerned with the observation and experimental investigation of the biological activities of plant and animal substances used in the traditional medicine of past and present cultures, which document indigenous medical knowledge, study indigenous medicines in order to contribute in the long-run to improved health care in the regions of study, and which report on pharmacologically unique principles from existing indigenous remedies. The journal will particularly welcome interdisciplinary papers with an ethnopharmacological... an ethnobotanical or an ethnochemical approach to the study of indigenous drugs. It is imperative that experimental studies are aligned and related to the traditional use(s).Furthermore:R... of anthropological and ethnobotanical field studies fall within the journal's scope.Studies involving pharmacological and toxicological mechanisms of action are especially welcome.Clinical studies on efficacy will be considered if contributing to the understanding of specific ethnopharmacological problems. The journal welcomes review articles in the above-mentioned fields especially those highlighting the multi-disciplinary nature of ethnopharmacology.- ISSN: 0378-8741

Pharmacology Biochemistry and Behavior
Pharmacology Biochemistry & Behavior publishes original reports in the areas of pharmacology and biochemistry in which the primary emphasis and theoretical context are behavioral. Contributions may involve clinical, preclinical, or basic research. Purely biochemical or toxicology studies will not be published.Papers describing the behavioral effects of novel drugs in models of psychiatric, neurological and cognitive disorders, and central pain must include a positive control unless the paper is on a disease where such a drug is not available yet.Papers focusing on physiological processes (e.g., peripheral pain mechanisms, body temperature regulation, seizure activity) are not accepted as we would like to retain the focus of Pharmacology Biochemistry & Behavior on behavior and its interaction with the biochemistry and neurochemistry of the central nervous system.Papers describing the effects of plant materials are generally not considered, unless the active ingredients are studied, the extraction method is well described, the doses tested are known, and clear and definite experimental evidence on the mechanism of action of the active ingredients is provided.- ISSN: 0091-3057
