Psychology of Sport and Exercise
An Official Journal of the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC)Psychology of Sport and Exercise is an international forum for scholarly reports in the psychology of sport and exercise, broadly defined. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches. To be considered for publication, manuscripts must make a substantive theoretical or methodological contribution. Manuscripts that will be considered for publication include results from high quality empirical research, reviews, meta-analyses, reports of professional practice (which need to demonstrate academic rigour and go beyond mere description), registered reports, and commentaries concerning already published PSE papers. Authors should adhere to recognised reporting guidelines for research (e.g., PRISMA guidelines for reviews and meta-analyses; TIDieR guidelines for interventions; CONSORT statement for randomised trials). Registered reports undergo a two-phase review process in which study rationale and methodology are considered prior to the research being undertaken. Authors are welcome to pre-register their study with an external organization (e.g. OSF), but it is not required. Authors interested in submitting replications of published studies need to contact the Editors-in-Chief before they start their replication. Quantitative studies should be theoretically informed and empirical research justified with a-priori power estimates provided (drawing on effects sizes from previous meta-analyses and/or specific papers with designs close to the one authors use). Qualitative studies should address the ontological/epistemo... position and methodological rigour of the study. We are not interested in manuscripts that aim to test the psychometric properties of an existing scale from English to another language, unless new validation methods are used which address previously unanswered research questions.Additional information If you wish to contact one of the Editors-in-Chief for any reason, (e.g. becoming a reviewer, interest in joining editorial board, issue about journal policy) please email the Editors-in-Chief. All manuscripts should be presented as concisely as possible. Authors should consider making available some of their material as supplementary electronic material to keep the overall page limit around 30 pages (8000 words) including references, tables, and figures. If manuscripts are mixed-methods, multiple experiments, complex designs, or include large tables and data sets (qualitative and/or quantitative), authors are requested to provide more information about their rationale for a longer page length (more than 8000 words) for their paper during the review process (e.g., in the cover letter to the Editors). The editorial team will then decide on the appropriateness of a longer page length when considering the submission. All submissions are screened by one of the editors before they are sent out for review to assess their suitability for the journal. Hence, there is no need to contact the editors prior to submission. The editors will also consider short communications for publication and such submissions should be a maximum of 15 pages including abstract (150 words max), main text, references, tables, and figures. Commentaries on published PSE papers should be a maximum of 5 pages, including abstract, references, tables, and figures.- ISSN: 1469-0292

Journal of Hand Therapy
The Journal of Hand Therapy is designed to support and advance evidence-based hand therapy, which is a speciality of rehabilitation that focuses on the upper limb. Hand therapists can come from either parent discipline physical therapy or occupational therapy and become hand therapists after advanced training and in some countries this speciality requires certification. As a hand therapy journal, we publish scientific papers, clinical papers, brief reports, and editorials that inform hand therapy. We require that the implications to hand therapy practice are clearly stated, and prefer the interventions be provided by hand therapists. Whether hand therapists, physical therapists or occupational therapists provided “hand therapy” interventions should be stated in methods, and the nature of the intervention should be clearly described (to support reader implementation). However, the discussion should focus on hand therapy, not just the parent discipline or the medical implications, to fit within the scope of the journal. Early work that is more basic or innovation development will be considered, if the implications for future hand therapy practice are clear. Papers that do not inform hand therapy should be submitted to another more relevant journal.- ISSN: 0894-1130

Nuclear Medicine and Biology
Official Journal of the Society of Radiopharmaceutical SciencesNuclear Medicine and Biology publishes original research addressing all aspects of radiopharmaceutical science for imaging as well as therapeutic applications. More specifically the synthesis (automated and manual), in vitro and ex vivo studies, in vivo biodistribution by dissection or imaging, radiopharmacology, radiopharmacy of new radiopharmaceuticals... Translational studies of novel targeted radiopharmaceuticals... e.g. first in human use, are warmly welcomed. In addition, in vivo imaging studies using radioactive tracers for physiological and pathophysiological research or drug discovery support are welcome. In all cases, the importance of the target to an unmet clinical need should be the first consideration. These multidisciplinary studies should validate the mechanism of localization whether the tracer is based on binding to a receptor, enzyme, antigen, or another well-defined target. The studies should be aimed at evaluating how the chemical and radiopharmaceutical properties affect pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, or therapeutic efficacy. Ideally, the study would address the sensitivity of the tracer to changes in disease or treatment, although studies validating mechanism alone are acceptable as well. In the case of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals... the specificity of labeled compound localization and therapeutic effect should be addressed. If the synthesis of a new radiopharmaceutical is submitted without in vitro or in vivo data, then the uniqueness of the chemistry must be emphasized and should provide a substantial improvement over existing methodologies.Articl... related to radiopharmacy, addressing the issues of preparation, automation, quality control, dispensing, and regulations applicable to qualification and administration of radiopharmaceuticals to humans, are also welcome if the article provides a significant impact on the field.- ISSN: 0969-8051

Human Movement Science
The journal is devoted to pure and applied research related to the science of human movement. It provides a medium for publishing disciplinary and multidisciplinary studies on human movement. It brings together psychological, biomechanical and neurophysiological research on the control, organization and learning of human movement, including the perceptual support of movement. The journal also encourages submissions from the fields of sport and exercise science and kinesiology provided that the work expands knowledge and understanding of human movement. This can include articles that focus on performance analyses, and artificial intelligence/machine learning. The overarching goal of the journal is to publish articles that help advance theoretical understanding of the control and organization of human movement, as well as changes therein as a function of development, learning, and rehabilitation. The nature of the research reported may vary from fundamental theoretical or empirical studies to more applied studies in the fields of, for example, sport, dance and rehabilitation with the proviso that all studies have a distinct theoretical bearing. The journal is less keen on work that is descriptive in nature or that has limited generalizability outside a specific population pool or sample. Also, we consider both systematic and meta-analytical reviews of human movement. Narrative reviews are by invitation only and are generally reserved for established scholars; please contact the Editor-in-Chief or the relevant Section Editor for a discussion. These aims and scope imply that purely descriptive studies are not acceptable, while methodological articles are only acceptable if the methodology in question can have a significant impact on the development of new directions in understanding the control and organization of human movement. The same holds for articles on exercise physiology, which in general are not supported, unless they speak to the control and organization of human movement. In general, it is required that the theoretical message of articles published in Human Movement Science is, to a certain extent, innovative and not dismissible as just "more of the same."Human Movement Science will consider hypothesis-driven analyses and exploratory analyses for which the need for exploration can be motivated; the exploratory nature of any such analysis should be clearly stated. In line with its commitment to publishing methodologically sound studies, Human Movement Science now offers the possibility to publish high-powered hypothesis driven research and high-impact replications as Registered Reports. Through pre- registration of hypotheses and methodology and results-independent editorial decisions, this article type neutralizes many questionable research practices incentivised by today's publish-or-perish pressures. In addition to regular issues, special issues addressing a single theme or topic will be published. The journal has now appointed a dedicated Section Editor to focus on special issues and invited reviews. The journal will look to publish 1-2 special issues per annum. In case of special issues, the above criteria may be softened if the guest editor(s) is (are) of the opinion that this will further the insight into the theme of the special issue in question. Special issues containing articles based on papers presented at conferences and workshops or consisting of a "target article" followed by peer commentaries are also admissible.- ISSN: 0167-9457

Artificial Intelligence in Medicine
Artificial Intelligence in Medicine publishes original articles from a wide variety of interdisciplinary perspectives concerning the theory and practice of artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine, medically-oriented human biology, and health care.Artificial intelligence in medicine may be characterized as the scientific discipline pertaining to research studies, projects, and applications that aim at supporting decision-based medical tasks through knowledge- and/or data-intensive computer-based solutions that ultimately support and improve the performance of a human care provider.Artificial Intelligence in Medicine considers for publication manuscripts that have both:• Potential high impact in some medical or healthcare domain; • Strong novelty of method and theory related to AI and computer science techniques.Artificia... Intelligence in Medicine papers must refer to real-world medical domains, considered and discussed at the proper depth, from both the technical and the medical points of view. The inclusion of a clinical assessment of the usefulness and potential impact of the submitted work is strongly recommended.Artifici... Intelligence in Medicine is looking for novelty in the methodological and/or theoretical content of submitted papers. Such kind of novelty has to be mainly acknowledged in the area of AI and Computer Science. Methodological papers deal with the proposal of some strategy and related methods to solve some scientific issues in specific domains. They must show, usually through an experimental evaluation, how the proposed methodology can be applied to medicine, medically-oriented human biology, and health care, respectively.
