    Current Problems in Cancer seeks to promote and disseminate innovative, transformative, and impactful data on patient-oriented cancer research and clinical care. Specifically, the journal's scope is focused on reporting the results of well-designed cancer studies that influence/alter practice or identify new directions in translational and clinical cancer research. These studies can include novel therapeutic approaches, new strategies for early diagnosis, cancer clinical trials, and supportive care, among others. Pre-clinical studies are discouraged. The journal's format also allows, on occasion, for a multi-faceted overview of a single topic via a curated selection of review articles, while also offering articles that present dynamic material that influences the oncology field.Original case reports featuring prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, supportive care, quality of life and rehabilitation can be submitted to the journal's open access companion title, Current Problems in Cancer: Case Reports.(CPCCR). Any case reports submitted to Current Problems in Cancer (CPC) will be considered for publication in either CPC or CPCCR.

Acceptance of manuscripts is based on the originality and importance of the observations or investigations, the quality of the work and validity of the evidence, the clarity of presentation, and the relevance to our readership and field. All articles are expected to be concise, well-organized and clearly written. Authors submit a manuscript with the understanding that the manuscript (or its essential substance) has not been published other than as an abstract in any language or format and is not currently submitted elsewhere for print or electronic publication.Primary research articles will be published under the following scientific categories: Clinical Trials and Observations; Gene Therapy; Hematopoiesis and Stem Cells; Immunobiology and Immunotherapy; Myeloid Neoplasia; Lymphoid Neoplasia; Phagocytes, Granulocytes and Myelopoiesis; Platelets and Thrombopoiesis; Red Cells, Iron and Erythropoiesis; Thrombosis and Hemostasis; Transfusion Medicine; Transplantation; and Vascular Biology. Reports should include a full description of the study design, patient population, methodology and conduct, and statistical plan.Immunobiology and Immunotherapy encompass a wide spectrum of research, but Blood can accommodate only papers that have clear and important implications for hematology. Preference is given to papers focusing on human immunobiology, immunotherapy, and immune pharmacology approaches in the human setting and those with significant implications for understanding of normal or malignant hematologic processes. Papers on tumor immunology, tumor vaccines and cancer immunotherapy development may be appropriate if the target cells or antigens are relevant to hematologic malignancies, but generally Blood cannot accommodate tumor immunology papers focusing solely on non-hematologic tumor types.Papers investigating autoimmunity and utilizing non-hematologic models are not within the scope of Blood.Vascular biology papers that focus primarily on atherosclerosis are outside the scope of Blood and instead should be considered for alternative journals.Papers felt to be outside the scope of Blood will be returned to the author without full peer review.

Topics covered include the collection and processing of blood, compatibility testing and guidelines for the use of blood products, as well as screening for and transmission of blood-borne diseases. All areas of apheresis - therapeutic and collection - are also addressed. We would like to specifically encourage allied health professionals in this area to submit manuscripts that relate to improved patient and donor care, technical aspects and educational issues.Transfusion and Apheresis Science features a "Theme" section which includes, in each issue, a group of papers designed to review a specific topic of current importance in transfusion and hemostasis for the discussion of topical issues specific to apheresis and focuses on the operators' viewpoint.     Transfusion Medicine Reviews provides an international forum in the English language for the publication of scholarly work devoted to the various sub-disciplines that comprise Transfusion Medicine including blood donation and processing, immunohematology, laboratory methods, clinical transfusion practice, hemostasis, cellular therapies, and transfusion and public policy. The aim of the journal is to inform clinicians, researchers, patients, and policy makers to the latest advances in our field. We do this primarily through the publication of original research and analytic reviews. Our original research articles must present original scientific experiments or clinical observations. Our reviews aim to give readers a deeper understanding of the knowledge-base of our field through papers that critically assess the existing literature rather than just summarize it. We expect authors to provide expert, unbiased, insightful analysis of their topic. All manuscripts undergo peer review by a minimum of two reviewers. We also aim to alert readers to emerging technologies as well as new applications of basic science to clinical transfusion practice.     The aim of Cancer Genetics is to publish high quality scientific papers on the cellular, genetic and molecular aspects of cancer, including cancer predisposition and clinical diagnostic applications. Specific areas of interest include descriptions of new chromosomal, molecular or epigenetic alterations in benign and malignant diseases; novel laboratory approaches for identification and characterization of chromosomal rearrangements or genomic alterations in cancer cells; correlation of genetic changes with pathology and clinical presentation; and the molecular genetics of cancer predisposition.
