Purpose and Intent of the Journal Evaluation and Program Planning is based on the principle that the techniques and methods of evaluation and planning transcend the boundaries of specific fields and that relevant contributions to these areas come from people representing many different positions, intellectual traditions, and interests. In order to further the development of evaluation and planning, we publish articles from the private and public sectors in a wide range of areas: organizational development and behaviour, training, planning, human resource development, health and mental wellbeing, social services, corrections, substance abuse, and education. The primary goals of the journal are to assist evaluators and planners to improve the practice of their professions, to develop their skills and to improve their knowledge base.Types of Articles Published We publish articles, "special issues" (usually a section of an issue), and book reviews. Articles are of two types: 1) reports on specific evaluation or planning efforts, and 2) discussions of issues relevant to the conduct of evaluation and planning.Reports on individual evaluations should include presentation of the evaluation setting, design, analysis and results. Because of our focus and philosophy, however, we also want a specific section devoted to "lessons learned". This section should contain advice to other evaluators about how you would have acted differently if you could do it all over again. The advice may involve methodology, how the evaluation was implemented or conducted, evaluation utilization tactics, or any other wisdom that you think could benefit your colleagues. More general articles should provide information relevant to the evaluator/planner's work. Eating Behaviors is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing human research on the etiology, prevention, and treatment of the full range of eating pathology (e.g., obesity, binge eating, eating disorders) in diverse groups of adults and children. Human Movement Science
The journal is devoted to pure and applied research related to the science of human movement. It provides a medium for publishing disciplinary and multidisciplinary studies on human movement. It brings together psychological, biomechanical and neurophysiological research on the control, organization and learning of human movement, including the perceptual support of movement. The journal also encourages submissions from the fields of sport and exercise science and kinesiology provided that the work expands knowledge and understanding of human movement. This can include articles that focus on performance analyses, and artificial intelligence/machine learning. The overarching goal of the journal is to publish articles that help advance theoretical understanding of the control and organization of human movement, as well as changes therein as a function of development, learning, and rehabilitation. The nature of the research reported may vary from fundamental theoretical or empirical studies to more applied studies in the fields of, for example, sport, dance and rehabilitation with the proviso that all studies have a distinct theoretical bearing. The journal is less keen on work that is descriptive in nature or that has limited generalizability outside a specific population pool or sample. Also, we consider both systematic and meta-analytical reviews of human movement. Narrative reviews are by invitation only and are generally reserved for established scholars; please contact the Editor-in-Chief or the relevant Section Editor for a discussion.These aims and scope imply that purely descriptive studies are not acceptable, while methodological articles are only acceptable if the methodology in question can have a significant impact on the development of new directions in understanding the control and organization of human movement. The same holds for articles on exercise physiology, which in general are not supported, unless they speak to the control and organization of human movement. In general, it is required that the theoretical message of articles published in Human Movement Science is, to a certain extent, innovative and not dismissible as just "more of the same."Human Movement Science will consider hypothesis-driven analyses and exploratory analyses for which the need for exploration can be motivated; the exploratory nature of any such analysis should be clearly stated. In line with its commitment to publishing methodologically sound studies, Human Movement Science now offers the possibility to publish high-powered hypothesis driven research and high-impact replications as Registered Reports. Through pre- registration of hypotheses and methodology and results-independent editorial decisions, this article type neutralizes many questionable research practices incentivised by today's publish-or-perish pressures.In addition to regular issues, special issues addressing a single theme or topic will be published. Research in Autism (REIA) publishes high quality empirical articles and reviews that contribute to a better understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) at all levels of description; genetic, neurobiological, cognitive, and behavioral. The primary focus of the journal is to bridge the gap between basic research at these levels, and the practical questions and difficulties that are faced by autistic individuals and their families, as well as carers, educators and clinicians. In addition, the journal encourages submissions on topics that remain under-researched in the field. We know shamefully little about the causes and consequences of the significant language and general intellectual impairments that are very common among the autism community. Even less is known about the challenges that autistic women face and less still about the needs of autistic individuals as they grow older. Before 1989, the core of comparative economics was the comparison of economic systems with in particular the economic analysis of socialism in its different forms. In the last fifteen years, the main focus of interest of comparative economists has been the transition from socialism to capitalism. In recent years, mostly as a result of the transition experience, a new orientation of comparative economics has emerged that focuses on the comparison of the economic effects of the various institutions of capitalism, be it in the legal sphere (common law versus civil law), in the political sphere (different types of democracies and electoral regimes) or in the sphere of culture, social norms, etc. This new orientation is a natural development following the very diverse experience of transitions from socialism to capitalism. Established in 1947, Research in Economics is one of the oldest general-interest economics journals in the world and the main one among those based in Italy. The purpose of the journal is to select original theoretical and empirical articles that will have high impact on the debate in the social sciences; since 1947, it has published important research contributions on a wide range of topics.A summary of our editorial policy is this: the editors make a preliminary assessment of whether the results of a paper, if correct, are worth publishing. If so one of the associate editors reviews the paper: from the reviewer we expect to learn if the paper is understandable and coherent and - within reasonable bounds - the results are correct.We believe that long lags in publication and multiple demands for revision simply slow scientific progress. Our goal is to provide you a definitive answer within one month of submission. We give the editors one week to judge the overall contribution and if acceptable send your paper to an associate editor.
