Cognition
International Journal of Cognitive ScienceCognition is an international journal that publishes theoretical and experimental papers on the study of the mind. It covers a wide variety of subjects concerning all the different aspects of cognition, ranging from experimental studies of behavior and of the brain to formal analysis.Papers will be selected on the basis of their scientific quality, their degree of innovation and their unambiguous theoretical advance to the study of cognition. Paper's overall soundness of the argument and degree of empirical motivation, especially from converging sources, are more important than adherence to specific methodological principles. Studies that selectively focus on the cognitive and neural mechanisms that underlie problems with cognition in clinical populations or on purely methodological questions fall outside the scope of Cognition. Because Cognition enjoys a wide readership from many disciplines, authors should explicitly consider the general theoretical issues raised by their work and its relevance to other topics and methods. Materials should describe work done and methods used in a clear and explicit manner (allowing reproduction of the methods by others).

Journal of Contextual Behavioral Science
The Journal of Contextual Behavioral Science is the official journal of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).Contextual Behavioral Science is a systematic and pragmatic approach to the understanding of behavior, the solution of human problems, and the promotion of human growth and development. Contextual Behavioral Science uses functional principles and theories to analyze and modify action embedded in its historical and situational context. The goal is to predict and influence behavior, with precision, scope, and depth, across all behavioral domains and all levels of analysis, so as to help create a behavioral science that is more adequate to the challenge of the human condition.Contextual behavioral science is a strategic approach to the analysis of human behavior that proposes the need for a multi-level (e.g. social factors, neurological factors, behavioral factors) and multi-method (e.g., time series analyses, cross-sectional, experimental) exploration of contextual and manipulable variables relevant to the prediction and influence of human behavior. The journal considers papers relevant to a contextual behavioral approach including:Empirical studies (without topical restriction - e.g., clinical psychology, psychopathology, education, organizational psychology, etc.)Brief reports on preliminary, but still impactful findings (e.g., pilot studies, cross-sectional research on psychological flexibility processes)Reviews (e.g., scoping reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses)Concep... and philosophical papers on contextual behavioral sciencePractical innovations (descriptions of practical innovation applying contextual behavioral science)Commentaries... reportsWe are particularly interested in:Papers that examine theories and interventions based in CBS (e.g., process-based therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, relational frame theory, functional analytic psychotherapy, compassion-focused therapy, etc...) to novel research areas with rigorous methodologies. We currently are especially interested in increasing the number of published articles on basic CBS research and translational research.Papers bridging different approaches (e.g., connecting behavioral approaches with cognitive views; or neurocognitive psychology; or evolutionary science)Papers that challenge a contextual behavioral science approach from an informed perspectivePapers that are written from the perspective of and/or report data collected from diverse, underrepresented, and minoritized individuals. The journal welcomes papers written by researchers, practitioners, and theoreticians from different intellectual traditions. What is distinctive is not a narrowly defined theory or set of applied methods but whether the methodology, conceptualization, or strategy employed is relevant to a contextual behavioral approach.JCBS has been receiving an increasing number of submissions that compete for limited space for publication. A notable portion of submissions to JCBS are cross-sectional survey studies on psychological flexibility-related processes (e.g., validating these measures, testing their relation to mental health and related outcomes). In order to balance research on these topics with other important methodologies and research areas of CBS, we are unfortunately only able to accept especially innovative and rigorous research using cross-sectional survey designs, and typically only when submitted as a brief report.Special IssuesThe Journal welcomes suggestions for Special Issues. Proposals for a themed Special Issue should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief, Baljinder K. Sahdra at baljinder.sahdra@acu... and should include suggested Executive, Advisory or Guest Editors, a proposed call-for-papers, 6-10 provisional authors and topics (specific titles or general areas), a proposed timeline for submission, peer-reviewing, revision and publication. All manuscripts in a special issue will be subject to the normal process of peer-review.

Neural Networks
Neural Networks provides a forum for developing and nurturing an international community of scholars and practitioners who are interested in all aspects of neural networks, including deep learning and related approaches to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Neural Networks welcomes submissions that contribute to the full range of neural networks research, from cognitive modeling and computational neuroscience, through deep learning algorithms and mathematical analyses, to engineering and technological applications of systems that significantly use neural network concepts and learning techniques. This uniquely broad range facilitates the cross-fertilization of ideas between biological and technological studies, and helps to foster the development of the interdisciplinary community that is interested in biologically-inspire... artificial intelligence. Accordingly, the Neural Networks editorial board represents experts in fields including psychology, neurobiology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, and physics. On the other hand, neural networks should be central to submissions. The journal publishes articles, letters, and reviews/tutorials, as well as letters to the editor, editorials, and current events. Articles are published in one of five sections: learning systems, cognitive science, neuroscience, mathematical and computational analysis, engineering and applications.Neural Networks is the archival journal of three of the oldest and most prominent neural network societies: the International Neural Network Society (INNS), the Asia-Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS), and the Japanese Neural Network Society (JNNS). A subscription to the journal is included with membership in each of these societies.Members of the societies listed as affiliated to the journal receive a 25% discount on Article Processing Charges when they publish an article in Neural Networks as an author - this will be detailed through the submission and production processes.INNS members receive additional support with a further 25% contribution from the INNS towards their open access article processing charges for accepted papers. If you are an INNS member, please submit this web form to receive reimbursement for 25% of your open access article processing charges. You will be asked to submit a PDF copy of your acceptance and production email, as well as a Wire Transfer Form.

Intelligence
This unique journal in psychology is dedicated to publishing empirical research, theoretical analyses, and review articles that make substantial contributions to the understanding of human intelligence. It serves as a leading outlet for significant work in all aspects related to intelligence, and, in line with its multidisciplinary tradition, the journal welcomes contributions from a wide range of fields that advance the study of this focal concept. These include psychometrics, neuropsychology, genetics, cognitive science, cross-cultural psychology, developmental psychology, educational psychology, industrial-organizat... psychology, personality psychology, behavioral economics, and social psychology. We encourage diverse perspectives that offer valuable insights into how intelligence is expressed across life stages, contexts, and societal structures. We embrace a broad conceptualization of human intelligence—one that includes related constructs such as creativity, emotional intelligence (particularly ability-based models), critical thinking, and literacy. Submissions focusing on any of these areas are encouraged. We particularly welcome manuscripts addressing the assessment of intelligence and related constructs, including studies on test development, cultural adaptation, and the psychometric properties of measurement tools. We continue to strongly encourage research exploring the role of intelligence in applied settings, such as clinical practice, education, and the workplace.
