This unique journal in psychology is dedicated to publishing empirical research, theoretical analyses, and review articles that make substantial contributions to the understanding of human intelligence. Journal of Substance Use and Addiction Treatment
The Journal of Substance Use & Addiction Treatment (JSAT) features original research; systematic reviews and meta-analyses; and commentaries and symposia/conference proceedings that advance the care of substance use disorders (including alcohol, illicit and prescription drugs, cannabis and nicotine) and their consequences.JSAT values high-quality empirical research relevant to the care of persons with substance use problems by scholars, clinicians, and scientists in all disciplines, in any setting. In general, JSAT articles should address policies, systems of care, assessment techniques, and intervention approaches that have clear relevance for addiction treatment, harm reduction, and recovery support. JSAT is particularly interested in addiction health services research, including the design, organization, delivery, implementation, accessibility, quality, cost, effectiveness, equity, patient experience, and workforce characteristics of interventions for persons with substance use problems in all service settings.- ISSN: 2949-8759
Neural Networks
The journal Neural Networks provides a forum for developing and nurturing an international community of scholars and practitioners who are interested in all aspects of neural networks, including deep learning and related approaches to artificial intelligence and machine learning.Neural Networks welcomes submissions that contribute to the full range of neural networks research, from cognitive modeling and computational neuroscience, through deep learning algorithms and mathematical analyses, to engineering and technological applications of systems that significantly use neural network concepts and learning techniques. This uniquely broad range facilitates the cross-fertilization of ideas between biological and technological studies, and helps to foster the development of the interdisciplinary community that is interested in biologically-inspire... artificial intelligence. Accordingly, the Neural Networks editorial board represents experts in fields including psychology, neurobiology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, and physics. Learning and Individual Differences
Journal of Psychology and EducationLearning and Individual Differences is a research journal devoted to publishing articles of individual differences as they relate to learning within an educational context. The Journal focuses on original empirical studies of high theoretical and methodological rigor that make a substantial scientific contribution and advance our knowledge on individual differences as they relate to cognitive and/or non-cognitive features across diverse learning contexts. The Journal receives submissions from different fields such as psychology, educational sciences, and the learning sciences and welcomes interdisciplinary research.Learning and Individual Differences publishes original research. There are three types of original articles: Full length articles, brief reports, and multistudy reports. Full length articles should be no longer than 8000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Brief reports should be no longer than 4000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Multistudy reports should be no longer than 12000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials). Systematic reviews with or without meta-analysis should be no longer than 15000 words of primary text (not including abstract, educational relevance and implications statement, tables, figures, references, and other materials).The core criteria for whether a manuscript is published are its scientific rigor and the new knowledge that it adds to the existing body of knowledge. To this end, we are particularly looking for manuscripts that report on longitudinal data analyses, include data on diverse (in the best case representative) or underrepresented populations, and combine several sources of information such as self-report and objective performance data. Inclusion of power calculations where appropriate is considered an advantage. Manuscripts that don't meet these criteria such as studies that are cross-sectional (in particular when they report mediation analyses), stem from highly specific samples, and include only self-reports need to make a strong case on why they advance our knowledge to a sufficient level for inclusion in the Journal and have a higher likelihood of not being considered for publication in Learning and Individual Differences.- ISSN: 1041-6080

Psychology of Sport and Exercise
An Official Journal of the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC)Psychology of Sport and Exercise is an international forum for scholarly reports in the psychology of sport and exercise, broadly defined. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches. To be considered for publication, manuscripts must make a substantive theoretical or methodological contribution. Manuscripts that will be considered for publication include results from high quality empirical research, reviews, meta-analyses, reports of professional practice (which need to demonstrate academic rigour and go beyond mere description), registered reports, and commentaries concerning already published PSE papers. Authors should adhere to recognised reporting guidelines for research (e.g., PRISMA guidelines for reviews and meta-analyses; TIDieR guidelines for interventions; CONSORT statement for randomised trials). Registered reports undergo a two-phase review process in which study rationale and methodology are considered prior to the research being undertaken. Authors are welcome to pre-register their study with an external organization (e.g. OSF), but it is not required. Authors interested in submitting replications of published studies need to contact the Editors-in-Chief before they start their replication. Quantitative studies should be theoretically informed and empirical research justified with a-priori power estimates provided (drawing on effects sizes from previous meta-analyses and/or specific papers with designs close to the one authors use). Qualitative studies should address the ontological/epistemo... position and methodological rigour of the study. We are not interested in manuscripts that aim to test the psychometric properties of an existing scale from English to another language, unless new validation methods are used which address previously unanswered research questions.Additional information If you wish to contact one of the Editors-in-Chief for any reason, (e.g. becoming a reviewer, interest in joining editorial board, issue about journal policy) please email the Editors-in-Chief. All manuscripts should be presented as concisely as possible. Authors should consider making available some of their material as supplementary electronic material to keep the overall page limit around 30 pages (8000 words) including references, tables, and figures. If manuscripts are mixed-methods, multiple experiments, complex designs, or include large tables and data sets (qualitative and/or quantitative), authors are requested to provide more information about their rationale for a longer page length (more than 8000 words) for their paper during the review process (e.g., in the cover letter to the Editors). The editorial team will then decide on the appropriateness of a longer page length when considering the submission. All submissions are screened by one of the editors before they are sent out for review to assess their suitability for the journal. Hence, there is no need to contact the editors prior to submission. The editors will also consider short communications for publication and such submissions should be a maximum of 15 pages including abstract (150 words max), main text, references, tables, and figures.
