Continental Shelf Research publishes articles dealing with the biological, chemical, geological and physical oceanography of the shallow marine environment, from coastal and estuarine waters out to the shelf break. The continental shelf is a critical environment within the land-ocean continuum, and many processes, functions and problems in the continental shelf are driven by terrestrial inputs transported through the rivers and estuaries to the coastal and continental shelf areas. Journal of Contaminant Hydrology
The Journal of Contaminant Hydrology is an international journal publishing scientific articles contributing to a broad understanding of contamination of water resources. Emphasis is placed on investigations of the physical, chemical, and biological processes influencing the behaviour and fate of organic and inorganic contaminants in the aqueous environment including ecological impacts. Water-based science, technology and management approaches that monitor, assess, control and mitigate contamination and its eco-environmental impacts at multiple scales are invited. Broad latitude is allowed in identifying contaminants of interest, and includes legacy and emerging pollutants, nutrients, nanoparticles, microorganisms (e.g., bacteria, viruses, and protozoa), microplastics, and various constituents associated with energy production (e.g., methane, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide).The journal's scope embraces a wide range of topics that include: surface and subsurface hydrology as it relates to contamination; experimental and computational investigations of contaminant sorption, diffusion, biological and chemical transformation, volatilization and transport in the surface and subsurface; characterization of soil and sediment properties only as they influence contaminant behaviour; development and testing of mathematical models of contaminant behaviour; innovative techniques for restoration of contaminated sites; development of new tools or techniques for monitoring the extent of soil, sediment, and water contamination; development of mathematical models and system analysis techniques for understanding and managing surface and subsurface water resources systems including hyporheic zone processes; analyses of interactions between water-use activities and the environment; carbon sequestration and turnover; and water contamination issues associated with energy production.There are some types of papers that are not suitable for submission, for example, Environmental Monitoring, Case Studies, and Method. The Journal of High Energy Astrophysics (JHEAP) is the first astrophysical journal that focuses on the study of the most energetic phenomena.JHEAP seeks scientifically sound papers, and particularly those crossing strict specialization fields, attracting wide interest. The journal welcomes manuscripts on theoretical models, simulations and observations of energetic astrophysical objects both in our Galaxy and beyond. Among those, black holes at all scales, neutron stars, pulsars and their nebula, magnetars, fast radio bursts, binaries, novae and supernovae, their remnants, active galaxies are just a few examples. The journal will consider research across the whole electromagnetic spectrum, as well as research using various messengers, such as gravitational waves or neutrinos. Effects of high-energy phenomena on cosmology and star-formation, results from dedicated surveys expanding the knowledge of extreme environments, and astrophysical implications of dark matter are also welcomed topics.The journal does not accept purely theoretical papers without applications to high-energy astronomical objects. In particular, papers on modified gravity, black hole physics, and unified theories without astrophysical applications are considered out of the scope of the journal.JHEAP has no page charges and has a delayed Open Access model, meaning that your article will automatically and without charge become Open Access after 12 months. The journal also accepts Letters, which disseminates timely and impactful results in the field. There is no length limit to the Letters. The vigorous growth of astronomical and astrophysical science in China led to an increase in papers on astrophysics which Acta Astronomica Sinica could no longer absorb. Calphad
The design of industrial processes requires reliable thermodynamic data. CALPHAD (Computer Coupling of Phase Diagrams and Thermochemistry) aims to promote computational thermodynamics through development of models to represent thermodynamic properties for various phases which permit prediction of properties of multicomponent systems from those of binary and ternary subsystems, critical assessment of data and their incorporation into self-consistent databases, development of software to optimize and derive thermodynamic parameters and the development and use of databanks for calculations to improve understanding of various industrial and technological processes. This work is disseminated through the CALPHAD journal and its annual conference. Contributions of high quality in these and related fields, especially the fields of first-principles calculations, experimental measurements of thermochemical and phase equilibrium data, phase transformations, and the process and materials designs that the CALPHAD works are based on or used for, are welcome.Please see our Guide for Authors for information on article submission.
