Journal of Asian Earth Sciences
Journal of Asian Earth Sciences has an Gold Open Access journal Journal of Asian Earth Sciences: X. To submit to Journal of Asian Earth Sciences: X, please visit https://www.editoria... Journal of Asian Earth Sciences is an international interdisciplinary journal devoted to all aspects of research related to the solid Earth Sciences of Asia. The Journal publishes high quality, peer-reviewed scientific papers on the regional geology, tectonics, geochemistry and geophysics of Asia. It will be devoted primarily to research papers but short communications relating to new developments of broad interest, reviews and book reviews will also be included. Papers must have international appeal and should present work of more than local significance. The scope includes deep processes of the Asian continent and its adjacent oceans; seismology and earthquakes; orogeny, magmatism, metamorphism and volcanism; growth, deformation and destruction of the Asian crust; crust-mantle interaction; evolution of life (early life, biostratigraphy, biogeography and mass-extinction); fluids, fluxes and reservoirs of mineral and energy resources; surface processes (weathering, erosion, transport and deposition of sediments) and resulting geomorphology; and the response of the Earth to global climate change as viewed within the Asian continent and surrounding oceans.Benefits to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Please click here for more information on our author services. Please see our Guide for Authors for information on article submission. If you require any further information or help, please visit our Support CenterThis journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals, in particular SDG 13 (Climate Action)- ISSN: 0277-3791
Quaternary Science Reviews
The International Journal of Earth, Climate and Life InteractionsQuaterna... Science Reviews caters for all aspects of Quaternary science, and includes, for example, geology, geomorphology, geography, archaeology, soil science, palaeobotany, palaeontology, palaeoclimatology and the full range of applicable dating methods. The dividing line between what constitutes the review paper and one which contains new original data is not easy to establish, so QSR also publishes papers with new data especially if these perform a review function. All the Quaternary sciences are changing rapidly and subject to re-evaluation as the pace of discovery quickens; thus the diverse but comprehensive role of Quaternary Science Reviews keeps readers abreast of the wider issues relating to new developments in the field. Quaternary Science Reviews includes Special Issues on topical subjects arising from recent scientific meetings, in response to significant changes in Quaternary subject matter, or to acknowledge the achievements of some outstanding Quaternary Scientist.Authors are also welcome to submit to the journal's open access companion title, Quaternary Science Advances. This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals.- ISSN: 0895-9811
Journal of South American Earth Sciences
The Journal publishes high quality, peer-reviewed scientific papers pertaining to the South American region including Mexico, Central America, The Caribbean and The Antarctic Peninsula and they must have a regional appeal and should present work of a more than local significance. Geological research papers dealing with the regional geology and basin analyses of South American cratons and mobile belts, within the following research fields, will be considered:Economic geology, metallogenesis and hydrocarbon genesis and reservoirsGeophysics... geochemistry, volcanology, igneous and metamorphic petrologyTectonics, neo- and seismotectonics, geodynamic modelling, structure and basin evolutionGeomorpholo... hydrology, watershed, geological hazards, environmental geologyStratigraphy and sedimentologyPaleont... paleoecology, paleoclimatology and Quaternary geologyPapers must have international appeal and should present work of a more regional versus local significance and deal with well-identified and justified scientific questions. Dedicated technical papers, analytical and/or exploration reports must be avoided. Papers on applied geology should preferably be linked to such core disciplines and must be addressed to a more general geoscientific audience.- ISSN: 1040-6182
Quaternary International
Quaternary International is an international, peer-reviewed journal that embraces all aspects related to Quaternary Science. It is the official journal of the International Union for Quaternary Research (INQUA) and aims to publish high-quality and impactful articles covering significant advances across all disciplines related to Quaternary research. The Journal's mission is to promote innovative research which appeals to the broad audience of the global Quaternary community and contributes to addressing broad international scientific questions. The journal accepts submissions for Research Papers, Review Articles, Short Communications and welcomes Special Issue proposals.Submission... related (but not limited) to the following research topics are welcome:Past climate change: palaeo-data and/or model-based reconstructions towards enhanced understanding of Quaternary climatic variability and abrupt events. Humans and biosphere: the evolution and diversity of humans and their ecological environment during the Quaternary alongside the dynamic relationship between them.Terrestrial and marine stratigraphy and geochronology: the study of the Quaternary Period through a stratigraphical approach and the application of geochronological methods that support establishment of timeframes and (cross-continental) correlations.Surface and tectonics processes: investigations of the Quaternary records of geohazards and their relationships with environment and humans. Applications of novel analytical tools: demonstration of physics-, chemistry-, biology- or computer science-based innovative methods and techniques applied to Quaternary science. Submissions that include innovative cross-disciplinary research combining palaeoecology, archaeology, anthropology, geology and related cultural processes are also encouraged.Review Articles that summarize the state-of-the-art in various fields or report cross-disciplinary advances in Quaternary science are welcome and warmly received.Quaternary International also publishes Special Issues organised by leading scientists and Early Career Researchers. Special Issues address major scientific questions in contemporary Quaternary research, including those related to international research projects or special events such as workshops, symposiums etc. Leaders of INQUA funded projects and INQUA Fellowship holders are strongly encouraged to propose Special Issues on their research topics.Manuscripts that present local studies, case-studies and new data are welcome if they provide evidence for broad scientific discussion or highlights correlations in the framework of a multi-regional or global Quaternary significance.Manuscr... that focus on pre-Quaternary data and events or on recent changes in climate, environment, and agriculture (within the last 20 years) will be considered for publication only if the authors indicate and clearly address the relationships with and contributions to Quaternary research.
