Geological research papers dealing with the regional geology and basin analyses of South American cratons and mobile belts, within the following research fields, will be considered:
Economic geology, metallogenesis and hydrocarbon genesis and reservoirs
Geophysics, geochemistry, volcanology, igneous and metamorphic petrology
Tectonics, neo- and seismotectonics, geodynamic modelling, structure and basin evolution
Geomorphology, hydrology, watershed, geological hazards, environmental geology
Stratigraphy and sedimentology
Paleontology, paleoecology, paleoclimatology and Quaternary geology
Papers must have international appeal and should present work of a more regional versus local significance and deal with well-identified and justified scientific questions. Dedicated technical papers, analytical and/or exploration reports must be avoided. Papers on applied geology should preferably be linked to such core disciplines and must be addressed to a more general geoscientific audience.
