Manuscripts that describe optimizations related to phenomena of narrow interest using conventional statistical approaches and/or describe exclusively computer simulation with conventional enzyme reaction models or molecular dynamics, will be rejected without peer review.The brewing and food technology section welcomes research that provide fundamental advances on fermentation, fermented foods and their process developments. Basic studies solely treating the chemical and/or medicinal aspects of food derivatives prepared by conventional pretreatment techniques are not appropriate for JBB.The cell and tissue engineering section covers research on cell culture engineering as it relates to regenerative medicine. Topics include the technologies for stem cell culture such as mass production, differentiation control, and tissue reconstruction. Studies in the field of pure cell biology and embryology are not appropriate for JBB.The biomedical engineering section covers topics related to bioprocess engineering in the field of medicine, including biomaterials, scaffolds, artificial organs, drug delivery systems, microfluidics, and micro-fabrication, but not deals with the topics mainly focusing on mechanical engineering. Studies in the field of basic medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, dentistry, and surgical technique are not suitable for JBB. The journal does not consider pathological, clinical, and epidemiological research.

Published papers will remain available on ScienceDirect”.Paper... published in Research in Microbiology cover all aspects of microbial taxonomy, phylogeny, ecology, physiology and metabolism, molecular genetics and genomics, gene regulation, viruses of prokaryotes, as well as interactions between microbes or with their environment. Purely descriptive papers, as well as those which do not report significant advances in scientific research, are discouraged and may be rejected without review. Papers dealing with methods and theoretical microbiology may be published if they are associated with significant novel approaches and/or results. Papers on host-pathogen interactions, virulence and disease fall within the scope of the journal only if they cover the biology of the microbes.Currently, Research in Microbiology publishes the following types of papers:• Original articles: full-length research papers or brief notes. • Reviews: generally commissioned, unsolicited reviews may also be considered. In this case, authors should contact the Editor-in-Chief. • Letters to the Editor: letters may be considered when a researcher wishes to comment on or respond to a published article. Talanta provides a forum for the publication of original research papers, short communications, and critical reviews in all branches of pure and applied analytical chemistry. Papers are evaluated based on established guidelines, including the fundamental nature of the study, scientific novelty, substantial improvement or advantage over existing analytical techniques or methods, and demonstrated analytical applicability. Original research papers on fundamental analytical studies, and on novel sensor and instrumentation developments, are encouraged. Biosensors & Bioelectronics is the principal international journal devoted to research, design, development and application of biosensors and bioelectronics. It is an interdisciplinary journal serving professionals with an interest in the exploitation of biological materials and designs in novel diagnostic and electronic devices including sensors, DNA chips, electronic noses, lab-on-a-chip and μ-TAS. Biosensors usually yield a digital electronic signal which is proportional to the concentration of a specific analyte or group of analytes. While the signal may in principle be continuous, devices can be configured to yield single measurements to meet specific market requirements. Examples of Biosensors include immunosensors, enzyme-based biosensors, organism- and whole cell-based biosensors. They have been applied to a wide variety of analytical problems including uses in medicine, biomedical research, drug discovery, the environment, food, process industries, security and defence. The design and study of molecular and supramolecular structures with molecular biorecognition and biomimetic properties for use in analytical devices is also included within the scope of the journal. Here the focus is on the complementary intersection between molecular recognition, nanotechnology, molecular imprinting and supramolecular chemistry to improve the analytical performance and robustness of devices.The emerging field of Bioelectronics seeks to exploit biology in conjunction with electronics in a wider context encompassing, for example, biological fuel cells, bionics and biomaterials for information processing, information storage, electronic components and actuators.
