Research Papers form the core of the journal, with a typical length of 6000 words and a maximum of 10000 words. 2. Reviews are between 8000 and 20000 words, on topics cross traditional lines. 3. Short Communications are short research papers, with a typical length of 3000 words, and a maximum of 5000 words, 3 Figures or Tables. 4. Baseline Papers are less than 5000 words, contain an abstract and keywords, brief introductory remarks, methodology with mandatory quality assurance and quality control information, results and short discussion but do not have sections or subsections. These papers are baselines related with marine pollution (including toxicant levels; ecological and ecotoxicological data) and must bring original data and information to support a better understanding of marine environmental issues. 5. Micro Articles are very short papers, less than 3000 words or 2 pages. They must consist of a single, but well-described piece of information, namely: • Original Data and/or a plot plus a description • Description of a new method, experiment or instrumentation •Descriptive case study 6. Official Journal of the Society of Radiopharmaceutical SciencesNuclear Medicine and Biology publishes original research addressing all aspects of radiopharmaceutical science for imaging as well as therapeutic applications. More specifically the synthesis (automated and manual), in vitro and ex vivo studies, in vivo biodistribution by dissection or imaging, radiopharmacology, radiopharmacy of new radiopharmaceuticals... Translational studies of novel targeted radiopharmaceuticals... e.g. first in human use, are warmly welcomed. In addition, in vivo imaging studies using radioactive tracers for physiological and pathophysiological research or drug discovery support are welcome. In all cases, the importance of the target to an unmet clinical need should be the first consideration.These multidisciplinary studies should validate the mechanism of localization whether the tracer is based on binding to a receptor, enzyme, antigen, or another well-defined target. The studies should be aimed at evaluating how the chemical and radiopharmaceutical properties affect pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, or therapeutic efficacy. Ideally, the study would address the sensitivity of the tracer to changes in disease or treatment, although studies validating mechanism alone are acceptable as well. The aim of Neuropeptides is the rapid publication of original research and review articles, dealing with the structure, distribution, actions and functions of peptides in the central and peripheral nervous systems. The explosion of research activity in this field has led to the identification of numerous naturally occurring endogenous peptides which act as neurotransmitters, neuromodulators, or trophic factors, to mediate nervous system functions. Increasing numbers of non-peptide ligands of neuropeptide receptors have been developed, which act as agonists or antagonists in peptidergic systems.The journal provides a unique opportunity of integrating the many disciplines involved in all neuropeptide research. The journal publishes articles on all aspects of the neuropeptide field, with particular emphasis on gene regulation of peptide expression, peptide receptor subtypes, transgenic and knockout mice with mutations in genes for neuropeptides and peptide receptors, neuroanatomy, physiology, behaviour, neurotrophic factors, preclinical drug evaluation, clinical studies, and clinical trials.Original papers predominate. Manuscripts may be of any length, but must be complete studies; preliminary communications are not accepted. Review articles and hypothesis papers are welcomed, and will be evaluated in the same way as experimental papers. What Current Opinions in Physiology publishes - COPHYS distinctly publishes invited short, annotated reviews in a Special Issue format. These short reviews are of recent (2-5 years) developments in the topic, as well as pointing out select individual papers of particular significance Each Special Issue focuses on a specific area of physiological research that has a broad appeal and falls within the aims and scope of the journal. Special Issues provide an opportunity to review a particular theme, examine previously unaddressed aspects, propose, and develop new approaches, exchange perspectives and encourage new lines of research.Expertise & the Editorial Process - Editors and the Editorial Board bring the depth and breadth of their experience and expertise to our journal. Each special issue's topic is facilitated and approved by the Co-Editors in Chief. An International Journal focused on Comparative Veterinary and Medical ResearchComparative Immunology, Microbiology & Infectious Diseases aims to respond to the concept of "One Medicine - One Health" and to provide a venue for scientific exchange. Based on the concept of "Comparative Medicine" interdisciplinary cooperation between specialists in human and animal medicine is of mutual interest and benefit. Therefore, there is need to combine the respective interest of physicians, veterinarians and other health professionals for comparative studies relevant to either human or animal medicine .CIMID is mainly focusing on applied veterinary medicine with a particular focus on zoonotic pathogens. It includes etiology, biology, clinical diseases, epidemiology, diagnosis, control. Experimental in vitro studies and studies on laboratory animals are generally not accepted. Non infectious diseases are not accepted. Specific focus on human diseases can only be accepted if it concerns major zoonotic pathogens. Reviews are generally not accepted, except if they contain new or recent developments. CIMID does not accept manuscript focusing on Mycology.The journal is open to subjects of common interest related to the immunology, immunopathology, microbiology, parasitology and epidemiology of human and animal infectious diseases, especially zoonotic infections, and animal models of human infectious diseases. The role of environmental factors in disease emergence is emphasized. CIMID is mainly focusing on applied veterinary and human medicine rather than on fundamental experimental research.Original research papers of high quality and novelty on aspects of host response, molecular biology, pathogenesis, control and prevention and treatment of microbial and parasitic diseases of domestic animals and wildlife (if the infections are of zoonotic interest and/or in relation with domestic animals and/or can serve as a model for human diseases). Papers dealing primarily with epidemiology will be considered if they demonstrate a clear impact on the clinical features, pathogenesis or prevention of a disease. Similarly, articles addressing microbiology, parasitology, immunology or pathogenesis must address issues of comparative medical interest. Manuscripts focusing on probiotics or diseases and/or immunology of fishes are not part of our overall scope, as they are better fitted to more specialized journals. Manuscripts dealing with food hygiene and food risk are not part of our overall scope. Manuscripts dealing strictly with experimental design and fundamental research may not be considered depending the overall consequences for the knowledge of a disease.Review articles can be accepted. They should focus either on a pathogen or on analyses of the mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions including epidemiological studies. Proposal for such manuscripts should be submitted to the Co-Editors in Chief for approval before submitting the manuscript.Papers focusing solely on diagnostic techniques, case reports or drug trials will generally not be accepted. Papers of geographically limited interest, which repeat what had been established elsewhere, will not be considered. The readership of the journal is global.
