Food and Chemical Toxicology
Affiliated with the Chinese Society of ToxicologyFood and Chemical Toxicology (FCT) is an internationally renowned journal that publishes original research articles and reviews on toxic effects and toxic mechanisms of natural or synthetic chemicals occurring in the human environment (present in food and/or the human environment). The scope of the journal includes drugs, consumer chemicals/products (e.g. cosmetics); agricultural chemicals/products (e.g. pesticides) and industrial chemicals (e.g relevant to occupational exposure). Areas such as safety evaluation of novel foods and ingredients, biotechnologically-d... products and nanomaterials are included in the scope of the journal. In these cases, a comprehensive characterisation of the materials under evaluation is necessary. FCT also encourages submission of papers on inter-relationships between nutrition and toxicology and on in vitro techniques, particularly those fostering the 3 Rs.In addition, the journal also publishes Special Issues focussed on selected subject areas. These issues typically involve new areas of interest or concern and there will be some flexibility in the papers considered in terms of scope.The principal aim of the journal is to publish high impact, scholarly work and to serve as a multidisciplinary forum for research in Toxicology. Only papers that have not been previously published, that fit in the above-mentioned scope, and which have been reviewed by experts in the field prior to publication will be considered for eventual publication. Cover letters must be included and state that the manuscript is new and original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Co-authors should be individuals who have contributed substantially to the content of the papers. Progress in Lipid Research
Publishing Invited ReviewsThe importance of lipids as one of the fundamental classes of biological compounds is well established. The application of our of the biochemistry, chemistry and physiology of lipids to biotechnology, the fats and oils industry and medicine have continued to expand apace. In addition new dimensions such as lipid biophysics, especially with relevance to membranes and lipoproteins, and basic liposome research and applications have been added. To cope with all these advances in knowledge a journal is needed to review recent progress in particular fields and to set current research against its historical background. Progress in Lipid Research fulfils this role.Each volume contains up-to-date surveys of special aspects of lipid research. The invited reviews are comprehensive enough to provide sufficient overview but concentrate on reporting and critically appraising the most recent data. Subjects are chosen for their timeliness or because major developments have taken place in the last few years. They include methodological reviews as well as chemical, biochemical and medical articles. All lipid compounds and derivatives are covered, ranging from fatty acids and other simple molecules, through steroids, terpenoids and phospho- or glycolipids to complex structures such as lipoproteins and biological membranes. We hope that those whose main interest is in lipid biophysics and liposome research will join as new readers, benefiting from the journal's classical aspects of lipid metabolism, lipids in signal transduction and lipid enzymology, and that current readers will benefit from the exposure to top quality research on the new aspects.PLR solely publishes review articles, and submissions are by invitation only. The American Journal of Preventive Medicine is the official journal of the American College of Preventive Medicine and the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research. It publishes articles in the areas of prevention research, teaching, practice and policy. It is especially of interest to healthcare professionals working in critical care, emergency medicine, acute medicine, anaesthesia, cardiology, paediatrics, and neonatology. Resuscitation is a monthly journal, publishing papers dealing with the aetiology, pathophysiology and prevention of cardiac arrest, resuscitation training, clinical resuscitation, and rapid response systems. Experimental resuscitation research papers (including animal studies) are published occasionally, but only if they are of exceptional interest and related directly to clinical cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Papers relating to trauma are published occasionally but the majority of these concern specifically traumatic cardiac arrest.Research papers, review articles and letters to the editor are welcome.
