Journals in Microbiology and virology
Journals in Microbiology and virology
Elsevier's Microbiology & Virology collection provides comprehensive coverage of viruses and microorganisms, addressing their impact on human, animal, and plant health. It includes topics such as prevention, treatment, and research of viral diseases like coronaviruses, flaviviruses, and viral hemorrhagic fevers. The collection delves into fields like Bacteriology, Mycology, and Microbial genetics, focusing on their roles in environmental, agricultural, and health-related contexts. This resource serves as a vital tool for scientists, facilitating the study of viruses and microorganisms and enabling the development of effective strategies for infectious disease prevention, diagnosis, and control.

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta: Gene Regulatory Mechanisms
BBA Gene Regulatory Mechanisms includes reports that describe novel insights into mechanisms of transcriptional, post-transcriptional and translational gene regulation. Special emphasis is placed on papers that identify epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation, including chromatin, modification, and remodeling. This section also encompasses mechanistic studies of regulatory proteins and protein complexes; regulatory or mechanistic aspects of RNA processing; regulation of expression by small RNAs; genomic analysis of gene expression patterns; and modeling of gene regulatory pathways. Papers describing gene promoters, enhancers, silencers or other regulatory DNA regions must incorporate significant functions studies. The journal does not favorably review manuscripts identifying a miRNA-target pair without additional insights into the repression mechanism or significant advances in understanding regulatory pathways. In addition, the following elements should be an integral part of the study: •In silico prediction of miRNA targets must be experimentally verified using appropriate luciferase constructs and assays; •To exclude non-functional miRNA/mRNA interactions a reporter system including the whole 3'UTR of the target gene downstream the "luciferase" or GFP should be considered; •Any miRNA modulation should be validated by measuring the expression of the putative proteinPlease see our Guide for Authors for information on article submission. Journal of Clinical Virology
Journal of Clinical Virology is an international journal and is the Official journal of the Pan American Society for Clinical Virology and The European Society for Clinical Virology.Journal of Clinical Virology aims to publish papers and reviews on the clinical aspects of human virology. It publishes articles on diagnostical methods and virus-induced clinical conditions. The manuscripts should be clinically practical and relevant.Submissions on new technologies for viral diagnosis and monitoring are particularly welcomed. The journal publishes on topics that include:• new diagnostic technologies • nucleic acid amplification and serologic testing • targeted and metagenomic next-generation sequencing • emerging pandemic viral threats • respiratory viruses • transplant viruses • chronic viral infections • cancer-associated viruses • gastrointestinal viruses • central nervous system viruses • one health (excludes animal health)Journal of Clinical Virology does not accept submissions on single cases or case series. Please submit manuscripts of this type to IDcases. Journal of Clinical Virology also does not accept submissions on fundamental virology. Please submit manuscripts of this type to Virology.- ISSN: 1386-6532
