The mission of the Journal of Purchasing & Supply Management is to publish original, high-quality and significant empirical research within the field of purchasing and supply management (PSM).The Journal supports diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the research and publication process.The Journal covers the acquisition of external resources (materials, services, works, knowledge, etc.) by organizations in any sector (private, public, profit, non-profit), focusing in particular on strategy, design, management and evaluation of procurement and sourcing activities.The Journal ensures that high-quality research is collected and disseminated widely, and provides a forum for debate on emerging topics. Articles should contribute to testing or developing PSM theory and provide valuable insights for practice and policy.The Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management is positioned as a multi-disciplinary journal, focusing on a particular set of study objects rather than a specific discipline. The journal is liberal with respect to the methodologies and style of research, but largely empirically focused. The journal does not publish mathematical modelling papers that do not also have a strong empirical grounding.
