Solid State Communications
Solid State Communications also welcomes full length original research articlesSolid State Communications publishes short communications and original research articles on significant developments in condensed matter science and materials physics, that emphasis original experimental and theoretical research on the physical and chemical properties of not only solids but also other condensed systems. The submission of manuscripts reporting research on the basic physics of materials and devices, as well as of state-of-the-art microstructures and nanostructures, is encouraged.A coherent quantitative treatment emphasizing new physics is expected rather than a simple accumulation of experimental and/or theoretical data.Consistent with these aims, the short communications should be kept concise and short, not longer than six printed pages. The number of figures and tables should also be kept to a minimum. Original research articles have no length restrictions.(Visit the Guide for Authors for more detailed information.)The Fast-Track section of Solid State Communications is the venue for very rapid publication of short communications on significant developments in condensed matter science and materials physics. The goal is to offer the broad condensed matter community quick and immediate access to publish recently completed papers in research areas that are rapidly evolving and in which there are developments with great potential impact. Keywords: condensed matter physics, materials physics, materials chemistry, materials science, electronic properties and devices, magnetism, superconductivity, microstructures, nanostructures- ISSN: 0167-2738

Spatial Statistics
Spatial Statistics publishes articles on the theory and application of spatial and spatio-temporal statistics. It favours manuscripts that present theory generated by new applications, or in which new theory is applied to an important practical case. A purely theoretical study will only rarely be accepted. Pure case studies and algorithms without methodological development are not acceptable for publication.Spatial Statistics concerns the quantitative analysis of spatial and spatio-temporal data, including their statistical dependencies, heterogeneity, accuracy and uncertainties. Methodology for spatial statistics is typically found in probability theory, stochastic modelling and mathematical statistics as well as in information and computer science. Spatial statistics is used in mapping, assessing spatial data quality, sampling design optimisation, modelling of spatial structures, and drawing of valid inference and causality from a limited set of spatio-temporal data. Application fields include:• The physical domains, e.g. environment, climate, agriculture, ecology, geosciences oceanography and remote sensing. • The social/economic domains, e.g. epidemiology, population characteristics, and disease mapping.Spatial Statistics encourages the submission of short communications and case studies in spatial statistics (i.e. manuscripts up to 3000 words presenting novel spatial statistical applications).Spatia... Statistics aims to publish reproducible science. Authors are encouraged to submit and publish data, procedures, models and methods that support your research publication. It provides facilities to interlink those with your published articles.Spatial Statistics has an open attitude towards the latest developments in data science, deep learning and geoAI, as long as a substantial statistical component is present.- ISSN: 1877-5845
Spatial and Spatio-temporal Epidemiology
Spatial and Spatio-Temporal Epidemiology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that provides a home for high quality work which straddles the areas of GIS, epidemiology, exposure science, and spatial statistics. The journal focuses on answering epidemiological questions where spatial and spatio-temporal approaches are appropriate. The methods should help to advance our understanding of infectious and non-infectious diseases in humans. The journal will also consider applications where health care provision is the focus. Coverage of veterinary topics will be included, and those with direct human health implications are especially welcome. The journal places special emphasis on spatio-temporal aspects of emerging diseases (e.g. COVID-19, avian flu, SARS), development of spatial statistical and computational methods, and novel applications of geospatial technology (e.g., GPS, GIS) for shedding insights on exposure and disease processes.- ISSN: 1386-1425
