    • Journal of Hydro-environment Research

      • ISSN: 1570-6443
Sponsored by the Korea Water Resources AssociationThe journal aims to provide an international platform for the dissemination of research and engineering applications related to water and hydraulic problems in the Asia-Pacific region. The journal provides a wide distribution at affordable subscription rate, as well as a rapid reviewing and publication time. The journal particularly encourages papers from young researchers.Papers that require extensive language editing, qualify for editorial assistance with American Journal Experts, a Language Editing Company that Elsevier recommends. Authors submitting to this journal are entitled to a 10% discount. The journal welcomes papers in all topics of hydraulics, in particular articles on sustainable water management, water-health issues, environmental hydraulics, eco-hydraulics, coastal engineering and integration of hydraulics with hydrology. Inter-disciplinary problems and linkage of theory to field application are particularly encouraged. Solutions of water problems in the form of prediction models, flow simulations, engineering systems, monitoring, management strategies covering basic scientific investigations and/or experimental studies of flow behaviour, hydrodynamics, fate and transport of aquatic constituents, and related biological and chemical processes are all within the scope of the Journal. The unique features of the Asia-Pacific region in terms of population density, economic growth, landscape, tradition and history require special treatment of water problems in the region. Each research article in the journal will contain a section describing actual or potential applications to the Asia-Pacific region. This will provide an effective forum for technical exchanges, joint projects, and technology transfer. In addition to research articles, the journal also publishes review papers, invited papers, book reviews and technical communications. Special issues containing selected papers presented at the biennial IAHR-APD Congresses, in particular the IAHR-APD award papers, will be a regular feature of the journal.Research articles: should be original contributions reporting a complete research work leading to the understanding and/or application of hydraulic knowledge based on theoretical, experimental, computational and/or other approaches. Papers combining theory and experiments or combining basic and applied research are strongly welcome.Review papers: cover all important issues in hydraulics and water problems, and their application.Technica... communications: report large-scale or innovative hydraulic or water-related projects/issues in the Asia-Pacific region. Communications discussing scientific and technical views on particular issues and problems are also encouraged.Invited papers: provide a forum for experienced researchers to share their experience and expertise to the Asia-Pacific forum.

    • Renewable Energy

      • ISSN: 0960-1481
The journal, Renewable Energy, seeks to promote and disseminate knowledge on the various topics and technologies of renewable energy systems and components. The journal aims to serve researchers, engineers, economists, manufacturers, NGOs, associations and societies to help them keep abreast of new developments in their specialist fields and to apply alternative energy solutions to current practices.Renewable Energy is an international, multi-disciplinary journal in renewable energy engineering and research. The journal aims to be a leading peer-reviewed platform and an authoritative source of original research and reviews related to renewable energy.Renewable Energy covers research in the following areas:Biomass ConversionPhotovolta... Technology ConversionSolar Thermal ApplicationsWind Energy TechnologyDesalinati... and Low Energy ArchitectureClimatol... and MeteorologyGeotherma... TechnologyWave, Tide and Ocean Thermal EnergiesHydro PowerHydrogen Production Technology and Fuel CellsSocio-economic and Policy IssuesThe journal also welcomes papers on other related topics provided that such topics are within the context of the broader multi-disciplinary scope of Renewable Energy. It should be noted, however, that papers are within scope only if they are concerned with power generation and that the power is generated in a renewable or sustainable way. For instance, a paper concerning development and characterisation of a material for use in a renewable energy system, without any measure of the energy that this new material will convert, would be out of scope.Renewable Energy accepts original research papers and review papers (the latter by invitation of the Editor-in-Chief only). Interested authors of review papers need to send the outline of the review together with a short CV of the main author/s to the Editor-in-Chief before submission of the paper. This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals, in particular SDG 7 (Affordable and clean energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action)
    • Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology

      • ISSN: 0031-0182
An International Journal for the Geo-SciencesPalaeoge... Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology publishes high quality studies in the field of palaeoenvironmental geoscience. We seek submissions that address broad scientific questions of interest to a wide international community and focus on significant events in the evolution of life and environment. The reach of the journal covers the entire deep-time history of the biosphere from the Archaean through to the Quaternary. A key criterion for consideration is that submissions address some key aspect of palaeoenvironmental change as their major theme including, but not limited to, studies of palaeoecology, palaeoclimatology, and palaeobiogeography. We also look favourably on submissions that use a multi-disciplinary approach and/or bring together large quantitative datasets. As the journal aims to cut across the boundaries of established sciences, every effort should be made to present research findings in a way that is understandable for a general readership. Manuscripts may be submitted as either research contributions or as a review article, and we also encourage the development of special issues on significant topics. Please note that studies of plate tectonics, sediment provenance and coal petrography are generally considered out of scope for the journal, and we can only normally consider submissions that are based on geological datasets or materials.
    • Deep-Sea Research Part II: Topical Studies in Oceanography

      • ISSN: 0967-0645
Deep-Sea Research Part II: Topical Studies in Oceanography publishes topical issues from the many international and interdisciplinary projects which are undertaken in oceanography. Besides these special issues from projects, the journal publishes collections of papers presented at conferences. The special issues regularly have electronic annexes of non-text material (numerical data, images, images, video, etc.) which are published with the special issues in ScienceDirect. Deep-Sea Research Part II was split off as a separate journal devoted to topical issues in 1993. Its companion journal Deep-Sea Research Part I: Oceanographic Research Papers, publishes the regular research papers in this area.AUTHORS PLEASE NOTE: the Editors cannot accept submissions that are not linked to a thematic issue. Please do not submit unsolicited papers. For information on how to submit a publication proposal for a special/thematic issue, you are cordially invited to contact the Chief Editors, Kenneth Drinkwater or Javier Aristegui. Please see our Guide for Authors for information on article submission. • Cognition

      • ISSN: 0010-0277
International Journal of Cognitive ScienceCognition is an international journal that publishes theoretical and experimental papers on the study of the mind. It covers a wide variety of subjects concerning all the different aspects of cognition, ranging from experimental studies of behavior and of the brain to formal analysis.Papers will be selected on the basis of their scientific quality, their degree of innovation and their unambiguous theoretical advance to the study of cognition. Paper's overall soundness of the argument and degree of empirical motivation, especially from converging sources, are more important than adherence to specific methodological principles. Studies that selectively focus on the cognitive and neural mechanisms that underlie problems with cognition in clinical populations or on purely methodological questions fall outside the scope of Cognition. Because Cognition enjoys a wide readership from many disciplines, authors should explicitly consider the general theoretical issues raised by their work and its relevance to other topics and methods. Materials should describe work done and methods used in a clear and explicit manner (allowing reproduction of the methods by others).
