New Astronomy Reviews
New Astronomy Reviews publishes review articles in all fields of astronomy and astrophysics, covering solar physics, solar system, planetary systems, stellar, galactic, extragalactic, and cosmology papers in any wavelengths from radio to gamma-ray. Theoretical, observational, and instrumental review papers are welcomed. However, papers with substantial new research are deemed as out of the journal scope and shall be submitted to other regular journals.In addition to regular reviews, this journal also welcomes focus reviews. These are shorter papers reviewing the recent results in a field where important advancements have been made in the past few years. It should present only recent results, without attempting a complete review of the topic. New Astronomy
New Astronomy aims to publish high quality articles in all areas of astronomy, from the solar system through cosmology, and in all wavelengths from radio to gamma-ray. New Astronomy actively encourages the submission of observational, experimental, theoretical, and numerical work, but it does not consider for publication physics papers for which there is no clear pathway for observational tests of the ideas proposed with current or reasonably conceivable future missions, observatories, and experiments. We encourage potential authors to write pre-submission inquiries to the Editor-in-Chief if they are unsure if their work is within the journal?s aims and scope.In addition to articles with original results, New Astronomy accepts regular reviews as well as focus reviews. These last are modest length (typically <20 pages) review articles that cover recent developments within a field, rather than providing comprehensive reviews of the entirety of the field.Proposals for special editions, for example as conference proceedings, sets of papers related to new missions, or on other topics are welcomed.- ISSN: 1384-1076

An International Journal on the Geophysical, Geochemical, Petrological, Economic and Environmental Aspects of Volcanology and Geothermal ResearchAn international research journal with focus on volcanic and geothermal processes and their impact on the environment and society.Submission of papers covering the following aspects of volcanology and geothermal research are encouraged:(1) Geophysical aspects of volcanic systems: physical properties of volcanic rocks, silicate melts, and magmas; heat flow studies; volcano seismology, geodesy and remote sensing.(2) Volcano hazard and risk research: hazard zonation methodology, development of forecasting tools; assessment techniques for vulnerability and impact.(3) Computational modeling and experimental simulation of magmatic and hydrothermal processes: eruption dynamics; magma transport and storage; plume dynamics and ash dispersal; lava flow dynamics; hydrothermal fluid flow; thermodynamics of aqueous fluids and melts.(4) Geological and geochemical measurements of active volcanic systems and volcanic processes: volcano stratigraphy, eruptive history; evolution of volcanic landforms; eruption style and progress; dispersal patterns of lava and ash; analysis of real-time eruption observations, volatile compositions and degassing; textural analysis of volcanic rocks.(5) Hydrology, geochemistry and measurement of magmatic, volcanic and hydrothermal fluids (the latter only if these propose novel aspects and processes of volcano-hosted hydrothermal systems); monitoring and modelling of volcanic gas emissions (including direct, in-situ, and remote measurements) and diffuse degassing (soils and springs/aquifers); crater lakes; hydrothermal mineralization.The journal does not accept geothermal or other research papers that are not related to volcanism.- ISSN: 0377-0273
Cretaceous Research
Cretaceous Research provides a forum for the rapid publication of research on all aspects of the Cretaceous Period, including its boundaries with the Jurassic and Palaeogene with emphasis on multidisciplinary research. Authoritative papers reporting detailed investigations of Cretaceous integrated stratigraphy and palaeontology, palaeobiogeography, palaeoceanography, palaeoclimatology, evolutionary palaeoecology, paleobiology, geochronology, global events (e.g., K/Pg boundary, Oceanic Anoxic Events), regional geology, and reviews of recently published books are complemented by short communications of significant new findings.Papers submitted to Cretaceous Research should place the research in a broad context and should be focused to better understand the Cretaceous geology and climate, that are therefore of interest to the diverse, international readership of the journal. Full length papers that focus solely on single disciplines or local theme or restricted geographic area will not be accepted for publication; authors of short communications are encouraged to discuss how their findings are of relevance to the Cretaceous on a broad scale.This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals, in particular SDG 13 (Climate Action)- ISSN: 0195-6671
CATENA
Catena is an interdisciplinary journal of soil science and geomorphology with a focus on geoecology, landscape ecology, landscape evolution and hydrology. Original research papers, comments, and reviews linking field, laboratory, and/or modelling results, integrating different geospheres, and discussing soil and landscape processes on different spatial and temporal scales will be considered, provided they are sufficiently novel and of broad interest.Reviews are expected to critically discuss and synthesise findings and approaches on topics falling within the core aims of Catena. An International Journal for the Geo-SciencesPalaeoge... Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology publishes high quality studies in the field of palaeoenvironmental geoscience. We seek submissions that address broad scientific questions of interest to a wide international community and focus on significant events in the evolution of life and environment. The reach of the journal covers the entire deep-time history of the biosphere from the Archaean through to the Quaternary. A key criterion for consideration is that submissions address some key aspect of palaeoenvironmental change as their major theme including, but not limited to, studies of palaeoecology, palaeoclimatology, and palaeobiogeography. We also look favourably on submissions that use a multi-disciplinary approach and/or bring together large quantitative datasets. As the journal aims to cut across the boundaries of established sciences, every effort should be made to present research findings in a way that is understandable for a general readership. Manuscripts may be submitted as either research contributions or as a review article, and we also encourage the development of special issues on significant topics. Marine Micropaleontology is an international journal publishing original, innovative and significant scientific papers in all fields related to marine microfossils, including ecology and paleoecology, biology and paleobiology, paleoceanography and paleoclimatology, environmental monitoring, taphonomy, evolution and molecular phylogeny. The journal strongly encourages the publication of articles in which marine microfossils and/or their chemical composition are used to solve fundamental geological, environmental and biological problems. However, it does not publish purely stratigraphic or taxonomic papers. In Marine Micropaleontology, a special section is dedicated to short papers on new methods and protocols using marine microfossils.
