Physica D: Nonlinear Phenomena
Physica D (Nonlinear Phenomena) publishes research and review articles reporting on theoretical and experimental work, techniques, and ideas that advance the understanding of nonlinear phenomena. The scope of the journal encompasses mathematical methods for nonlinear systems including: wave motion, pattern formation and collective phenomena in physical, chemical and biological systems; hydrodynamics and turbulence; integrable and Hamiltonian systems; and data-driven dynamical systems. The journal encourages submissions in established and emerging application domains, for example applications of nonlinear science to artificial intelligence, robotics, control theory, complex networks, and social and economic dynamics.

Aims and Scope: Progress in Biophysics &Molecular Biology is an international review journal and covers the ground between the physical and biological sciences since its launch in 1950. It indicates to the physicist the great variety of unsolved problems awaiting attention in biology and medicine. The biologist and biochemist will find that this journal presents new and stimulating ideas and novel approaches to studying and influencing structural and functional properties of the living organism. This journal will be of particular interest to biophysicists, biologists, biochemists, cell physiologists, systems biologists, and molecular biologists. The purpose of the journal is to present invited, informative and critical reviews of recent advances in different aspects of biophysics and molecular biology. The Editors welcome suggestions of topics and potential authors. As the scope of Progress in Biophysics &Molecular Biology is wide and of interest to scientists in many disciplines, authors should treat their subject matter in a manner that is authoritative yet also easily comprehensible to those who are not experts in the field. European Polymer Journal is dedicated to publishing work on fundamental and applied polymer chemistry and macromolecular materials. The journal covers all aspects of polymer synthesis, including polymerization mechanisms and chemical functional transformations, with a focus on novel polymers and the relationships between molecular structure and polymer properties. In addition, we welcome submissions on bio-based or renewable polymers, stimuli-responsive systems and polymer bio-hybrids. European Polymer Journal also publishes research on the biomedical application of polymers, including drug delivery and regenerative medicine. Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews
The aim of the Journal is to provide a forum for the critical analysis of advanced drug and gene delivery systems and their applications in human and veterinary medicine. The Journal has a broad scope, covering the key issues for effective drug and gene delivery, from administration to site-specific delivery.In general, the Journal publishes review articles in a Theme Issue format. Each Theme Issue provides a comprehensive and critical examination of current and emerging research on the design and development of advanced drug and gene delivery systems and their application to experimental and clinical therapeutics. The goal is to illustrate the pivotal role of a multidisciplinary approach to modern drug delivery, encompassing the application of sound biological and physicochemical principles to the engineering of drug delivery systems to meet the therapeutic need at hand. Importantly the Editorial Team of ADDR asks that the authors effectively window the extensive volume of literature, pick the important contributions and explain their importance, produce a forward looking identification of the challenges facing the field and produce a Conclusions section with expert recommendations to address the issues.Articles review the current status of a specific topic, giving equal emphasis to the identification of major conceptual and technological challenges to successful drug and gene delivery, to an evaluation of triumphs as well as shortcomings in current conceptual and technical approaches, and to a discussion of their possible solution.Theme issues are commissioned by one of the Executive Editors or the Editor-in-Chief. Calphad
The design of industrial processes requires reliable thermodynamic data. CALPHAD (Computer Coupling of Phase Diagrams and Thermochemistry) aims to promote computational thermodynamics through development of models to represent thermodynamic properties for various phases which permit prediction of properties of multicomponent systems from those of binary and ternary subsystems, critical assessment of data and their incorporation into self-consistent databases, development of software to optimize and derive thermodynamic parameters and the development and use of databanks for calculations to improve understanding of various industrial and technological processes. This work is disseminated through the CALPHAD journal and its annual conference. Contributions of high quality in these and related fields, especially the fields of first-principles calculations, experimental measurements of thermochemical and phase equilibrium data, phase transformations, and the process and materials designs that the CALPHAD works are based on or used for, are welcome.Please see our Guide for Authors for information on article submission. Chemical Physics
Frontier research on physical phenomena in chemistry, biology and materials scienceCriteria for publication in Chemical Physics are novelty, quality and general interest in experimental and theoretical chemical physics and physical chemistry. Articles are welcome that deal with problems of electronic and structural dynamics, reaction mechanisms, fundamental aspects of catalysis, solar energy conversion and chemical reactions in general, involving atoms, molecules, proteins, clusters, surfaces, interfaces and bulk matter. Reports on new methodologies and comprehensive assessments of existing ones, as well as applications to new types of problems are especially welcome. Experimental papers are expected to be brought into relation with theory, and theoretical papers should be connected to present or future experiments. Manuscripts that apply standard methods to specific physical-chemical problems and/or to specific systems are appropriate if they report novel results for an important problem of high interest and/or if they provide significant new insights.Manuscripts describing routine use or minor extensions or modifications of established and/or published experimental and theoretical methodologies are not appropriate for the journal. In addition, manuscripts describing analytical procedures that use established spectroscopic techniques, such as for sample characterization, will not be accepted for publication, even if they appear new or improved with respect to procedures previously used.In addition to regular research papers, Chemical Physics publishes invited perspectives articles (called ChemPhys Perspectives) and Special Thematic Issues. Each Chemical Physics Special Issue provides a snapshot of the leading edge in current research of a particular field in chemical physics, and contains invited articles by specialists in that field. The objective is to create a collection of articles representative of the newest findings in a field and equivalent to that covered at a topical conference.

The Journal of Molecular Structure is dedicated to the publication of full-length articles and review papers, providing important new structural information on all types of chemical species including:• Stable and unstable molecules in all types of environments (vapour, molecular beam, liquid, solution, liquid crystal, solid state, matrix-isolated, surface-absorbed etc.) • Chemical intermediates • Molecules in excited states • Biological molecules • Polymers.The methods used may include any combination of spectroscopic and non-spectroscopic techniques, for example:• Infrared spectroscopy (mid, far, near) • Raman spectroscopy and non-linear Raman methods (CARS, etc.) • Electronic absorption spectroscopy • Optical rotatory dispersion and circular dichroism • Fluorescence and phosphorescence techniques • Electron spectroscopies (PES, XPS), EXAFS, etc. • Microwave spectroscopy • Electron diffraction • NMR and ESR spectroscopies • Mössbauer spectroscopy • X-ray crystallography • Charge Density Analyses • Computational Studies (supplementing experimental methods)We encourage publications combining theoretical and experimental approaches. The structural insights gained by the studies should be correlated with the properties, activity and/ or reactivity of the molecule under investigation and the relevance of this molecule and its implications should be discussed.IMPORTANT NOTE: Papers describing routine studies of little structural significance (e.g. manuscripts dealing only with glassy materials, characterization of particles and materials by using microscopy techniques, those reporting essentially crystal data accompanied by routine spectroscopic studies and/or theoretical structure analysis performed for isolated molecules, and routine spectroscopy studies for commercially available compounds) are not acceptable. The same applies to manuscripts mainly focused on synthesis procedures or evaluation of bioactivity of chemical species. Solely theoretical studies should rather be submitted to Computational and Theoretical Chemistry.
