Molecular and Biochemical Parasitology provides a medium for rapid publication of investigations of the molecular biology and biochemistry of parasitic protozoa, fungi, helminths and ectoparasites, including molecular interactions between parasites and their definitive and intermediate hosts and their vectors. This includes emerging or neglected eukaryotic pathogens.The main subject areas covered are:• The structure, biosynthesis, degradation, properties and function of parasite biomolecules - DNA, RNA, proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and small molecular-weight substances. This includes molecules of intermediary metabolism and bioenergetics. host-parasite relationships particularly as related to specific parasite molecules. • The response of host organisms to infection, and the response of host cells to intracellular parasites. What Current Opinions in Physiology publishes - COPHYS distinctly publishes invited short, annotated reviews in a Special Issue format. These short reviews are of recent (2-5 years) developments in the topic, as well as pointing out select individual papers of particular significance Each Special Issue focuses on a specific area of physiological research that has a broad appeal and falls within the aims and scope of the journal. Special Issues provide an opportunity to review a particular theme, examine previously unaddressed aspects, propose, and develop new approaches, exchange perspectives and encourage new lines of research.Expertise & the Editorial Process - Editors and the Editorial Board bring the depth and breadth of their experience and expertise to our journal. Each special issue's topic is facilitated and approved by the Co-Editors in Chief. The Editors in Chief work in tandem with the Editorial Board to select the most appropriate Guest Editors who are known experts in any given special issue's topic. The Guest Editors are responsible for creating an author invite list, which is then reviewed and augmented via Editorial Board evaluation prior to the Guest Editor inviting the contributing authors. Journal of Insect Physiology
Journal of Insect Physiology publishes papers on all aspects of insect physiology, and also on the physiology of other arthropods if the referees consider the work to be of general interest. We prioritise papers that test broad physiological questions or hypotheses over narrower, more focused papers. Current topical areas of interest include endocrinology, environmental physiology, neurobiology, metabolic physiology and gas exchange, nutrition and growth, reproduction, and behaviour. Papers on interactions of microbiomes with physiological processes may be appropriate. Papers on functional genomics and molecular approaches may be considered if they bear directly on physiological problems; typically these papers should contain physiological data, not just transcriptomic data and other bioinformatics approaches. Innovative methods papers are also welcomed. Review articles will be considered by invitation only and by prior arrangement with the Editors-in-Chief. Given the recent increases in the number of submissions addressing pesticides, we have adopted the following policy. Such manuscripts may be appropriate for the journal but only if they address basic physiological problems. For example, papers that examine pesticide effectiveness or measure transcriptomic changes after exposure are unlikely to be sent out for review; such papers would be better suited to journals aimed at pesticides or agriculture.- ISSN: 0022-1910

Physiology & Behavior is aimed at the causal physiological mechanisms of behavior and its modulation by environmental factors. The journal invites original reports in the broad area of behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, where the interaction of physiology and behavior is the prerequisite for all published material. The range of subjects includes behavioral neuroendocrinology, psychoneuroimmunolog... learning and memory, ingestion, taste, social behavior, exercise (as it relates to behavior), studies related to the mechanisms of psychopathology and studies using animal models with the purpose of translating the findings to humans. Purely pharmacological studies (either using natural compounds or synthetic chemicals), studies on improving human performance beyond physiological adaptations, or studies on improving livestock production are not in the focus of the Journal.We also welcome contemporary reviews and theoretical articles, and the Editors invite such proposals from interested authors.
