Journal of Psychiatric Research
Founded in 1961 to report on the latest work in psychiatry and cognate disciplines, the Journal of Psychiatric Research is dedicated to innovative and timely studies of four important areas of research:(1) Clinical studies of all disciplines relating to psychiatric illness, as well as normal human behaviour, including biochemical, physiological, genetic, environmental, social, psychological and epidemiological factors;(2) Basic studies pertaining to psychiatry in such fields as neuropsychopharmacol... neuroendocrinology, electrophysiology, genetics, experimental psychology and epidemiology;(3) The growing application of clinical laboratory techniques in psychiatry, including imagery and spectroscopy of the brain, molecular biology and computer sciences;(4) Advances in basic and clinical research methodology, including the process of "bench-to-bedside" transfer of new research findings. The Editors-in-Chief will accept papers of high scientific caliber, if necessary after appropriate revision, and will aim for their rapid publication. In addition, the Journal will be enhanced by the inclusion of commissioned reviews, news items, book notices and letters to the Editors.- ISSN: 0022-3956

Psychoneuroendocrinology
The Official Journal of the International Society of PsychoÂneuroÂendocri... publishes papers dealing with the interrelated disciplines of psychology, neurobiology, endocrinology, immunology, neurology, and psychiatry, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary studies aiming at integrating these disciplines in terms of either basic research or clinical implications. One of the main goals is to understand how a variety of psychobiological factors interact in the expression of the stress response as it relates to the development and/or maintenance of neuropsychiatric illnesses. The journal is international and comprises original research papers, reviews of an area of the literature, or at an appropriate stage in the development of the author's own work, commentaries in areas of current interest, short communications and book reviews. Although reviews, editorials and commentaries are usually by invitation, interested authors can contact the Editor-in-Chief to discuss the suitability of topics for either category of manuscripts.Authors are also welcome to submit their manuscripts to the journal's open access companion title, Comprehensive Psychoneuroendocrino... .- ISSN: 0306-4530

International Journal of Paleopathology
The Official Journal of the Paleopathology AssociationPaleopath... is the study and application of methods and techniques for investigating diseases and related conditions from skeletal and soft tissue remains. The International Journal of Paleopathology (IJPP) will publish original and significant articles on human and animal (including hominids) disease, based upon the study of physical remains, including osseous, dental, and preserved soft tissues at a range of methodological levels, from direct observation to molecular, chemical, histological and radiographic analysis. Discussion of ways in which these methods can be applied to the reconstruction of health, disease and life histories in the past is central to the discipline, so the journal would also encourage papers covering interpretive and theoretical issues, and those that place the study of disease at the centre of a bioarchaeological or biocultural approach. Papers dealing with historical evidence relating to disease in the past (rather than history of medicine) will also be published. The journal will also accept significant studies that applied previously developed techniques to new materials, setting the research in the context of current debates on past human and animal health.Membership Benefits: Members of the Paleopathology Association receive online access to the International Journal of Paleopathology for free as a member benefit.- ISSN: 1879-9817

Intensive and Critical Care Nursing
The aims of Intensive and Critical Care Nursing are to promote excellence of care of critically ill patients by specialist nurses and their professional colleagues; to provide an international and interdisciplinary forum for the publication, dissemination and exchange of research findings, experience and ideas; to develop and enhance the knowledge, skills, attitudes and creative thinking essential to good critical care nursing practice. The journal publishes reviews, updates and feature articles in addition to original papers and significant preliminary communications. Articles may deal with any part of practice including relevant clinical, research, educational, psychological and technological aspects.- ISSN: 0964-3397

Journal of Psychosomatic Research
Official Journal of the European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine and affiliated with the International College of Psychosomatic MedicineThe Journal of Psychosomatic Research is a multidisciplinary research journal covering all aspects of the relationships between psychology and medicine. The scope is broad and ranges from basic human biological and psychological research to evaluations of treatment and services. Papers will normally be concerned with illness or patients rather than studies of healthy populations. Studies concerning special populations, such as the elderly and children and adolescents, are welcome. In addition to peer-reviewed original papers, the journal publishes editorials, reviews, and other papers related to the journal's aims.- ISSN: 0022-3999

Journal of Biomechanics
The Journal of Biomechanics publishes reports of original and substantial findings using the principles of mechanics to explore biological problems.
