Se ha continuado aplicando el uso que el profe­sor Gordis hacía de las ilustraciones y ejemplos para demostrar cómo se ponen en práctica las cuestiones y principios epidemiológicos. Se han actualizado los ejemplos ampliamente y hemos añadido otros nuevos a lo largo de todo el texto. Muchos de los capítulos pre­vios se han editado y actualizado exhaustivamente y algunos de ellos se han ampliado en gran medida. Igualmente se ofrece una amplia cobertura del Covid19.
