A Quarterly Review of Innovations in Post-secondary EducationThe Internet and Higher Education is a quarterly journal devoted to addressing contemporary issues and future developments related to Internet-enabled learning and teaching in higher education settings. It is a peer-reviewed journal intended to be a vehicle for scholarly presentation and dissemination of contributions significantly addressing innovative uses of Internet technology in learning and teaching, and reporting on research to demonstrate the effects of the Internet on the quality and/or the equity of learning and teaching in higher education contexts. The key findings must inform practices and/or policies, and contribute to the scholarship of Internet-enabled higher education learning and teaching. For example, research on topics such as MOOCs and professional development must have clear implications for individuals who teach and learn in higher education institutions.The journal is international and interdisciplinary, inviting contributions from across the globe and from various academic disciplines. Special issues are often devoted to specific emerging areas of study with guest editors assisting in the editorial process.The scope of the journal is broad in terms of the range of Internet-related issues and trends to be addressed in the higher education teaching and learning context. We welcome manuscripts on topics including but not limited to pedagogical and technological innovations in online and blended learning; online learning interactions and collaborations; online learning communities; institutional policies and strategies to drive and support online learning and teaching; internationalization and cultural aspects of online classrooms; online assessment and feedback; faculty professional development for online learning; and approaches to online course development. Across all topics, we seek to publish high-quality empirical manuscripts with strong conceptual frameworks and rigorous methods.

The Journal of Academic Librarianship, an international and refereed journal, publishes articles that focus on problems and issues germane to college and university libraries. JAL provides a forum for authors to present research findings and their practical applications and significance; analyze policies, practices, issues, and trends; speculate about the future of academic librarianship; present analytical bibliographic essays and philosophical treatises. JAL also provides special features in each issue which include information on academic library technology issues, research in international librarianship, digests of special reports, and a guide to sources and analysis of library metrics.Out of scopeJAL frequently receives high-quality and interesting submissions that are rejected due to the topic being outside the scope of the journal. JAL focuses specifically on college and university libraries. Topics related to school libraries (i.e. K-12 education, primary and secondary education) are outside the scope of the journal, unless they are explicitly discussed within the context of college and university libraries. Furthermore, topics that deal specifically with library and information science (LIS) education are also outside the scope of the journal, unless the topic is applicable to working in or the operations of college and university libraries. The Journal of Economic Asymmetries

The journal aims to publish scholarly articles on economic, financial, technological and legal asymmetries within and among markets in an increasingly globalized world.Asymmetries are broadly interpreted as economic relationships between trading partners with unequal market power and also in the narrow technical sense of dissimilar information between trading agents.Asymmetries also may arise in cases of economic, financial or currency crises. The wide range of dissimilar policy recommendations in such cases may also reflect asymmetric policy responses.Closely related to international economic asymmetries, one may find economic, legal and technological conditions differing from one economy to another because of the size of countries, their institutions and their history. Acknowledging and investigating such differences is also a concern of the journal.The recent global financial crisis has created numerous economic asymmetries. Topics of interest include: sovereign debt, banking fragility, corporate deleveraging, asymmetries in macro-prudential regulation between countries with high and low developed financial markets, persistent high unemployment, challenges in the conduct of appropriate monetary and fiscal policies, national versus supranational regulatory systems, consequences of the Euro-zone financial crisis, the future of the euro, global monetary and fiscal stability, strategies to stop the immense increases in fiscal deficits and to regain fiscal stability, regulatory systems limiting world-wide contagion effects, regulatory measures to increase the soundness of the banks' balance sheets and to supervise financial transactions between globalised banks, multiple equilibria in financial markets, wealth volatility, the behavior of commodity markets and changes in leading currency markets. This leading international journal, launched in 2006, uniquely identifies and details critical issues in the future of learning and teaching of creativity, as well as innovations in teaching for thinking. In particular, the journal is interested in papers that advance new and existing methodological approaches, and are innovative works on the theories, practices and possibilities of creativity and thinking skills research. Papers may relate to any age level and any settings: formal and informal, education and work-based as long as they connect to the learning and teaching, facilitation and/or practice teaching for thinking and/or creativity.While there is no universal agreement about the dimensions of thinking skills and creativity or their themes, debates and terms, we welcome methodological advancements and critiques that progress current thinking and stimulate developments about the naming and framing of boundaries and related fields of knowledge.The journal particularly welcomes several types of research article:Empirical studies which address critical issues in the future of learning and teaching, facilitation and practice, directly relevant to advancing thinking skills relevant to the enquiry and advancement of creativity;Critical reports of research practices and innovation in identifying major debates in advancing thinking skills and creativity;Synthetic reviews;New departures in methodological, theoretical and conceptual case studies. Submissions to the journal are judged on the engagement of research and scholarship designed to advance creativity and thinking skills research. The major criteria for acceptance of a research article will be its relevance, its importance and its contribution to the field of teaching for thinking and creativity, and its persuasive, analytical and critical quality.
