Case Studies in Thermal Engineering

  • ISSN: 2214-157X
  • 5 Year impact factor: 6.1
  • Impact factor: 6.4
Case Studies in Thermal Engineering is an open access journal. If articles are accepted for publication, authors are requested to pay an Article Processing Fee. Following payment of this fee, the article is made freely available to all on www.sciencedirect.com.Case Studies in Thermal Engineering provides a forum for the rapid publication of short, structured Case Studies in Thermal Engineering and related Short Communications. It provides an essential compendium of case studies for researchers and practitioners in the field of thermal engineering and others who are interested in aspects of thermal engineering cases that could affect other engineering processes. The journal not only publishes new and novel case studies, but also provides a forum for the publication of high quality descriptions of classic thermal engineering problems. The scope of the journal includes case studies of thermal engineering problems in components, devices and systems using existing experimental and numerical techniques in the areas of mechanical, aerospace, chemical, medical, thermal management for electronics, heat exchangers, regeneration, solar thermal energy, thermal storage, building energy conservation, and power generation. Case studies of thermal problems in other areas will also be considered.Fundamental thermal science and engineering studies are generally not included in the scope of the journal.Manuscript length should not exceed five journal pages.

Catalysis Today

  • ISSN: 0920-5861
  • 5 Year impact factor: 5
  • Impact factor: 5.2
A Serial Publication Featuring Topical Themes in Catalysis and Related Subjects: Click Here for the Full List of Special Issues Published in Catalysis Today.Catalysis Today focuses on the rapid publication of original invited papers devoted to currently important topics in catalysis and related subjects. The journal only publishes special issues (Proposing a Catalysis Today Special Issue), each of which is supervised by Guest Editors who recruit individual papers and oversee the peer review process. Catalysis Today offers researchers in the field of catalysis in-depth overviews of topical issues. Both fundamental and applied aspects of catalysis are covered. Subjects such as catalysis of immobilized organometallic and biocatalytic systems are welcome. Subjects related to catalysis such as experimental techniques, adsorption, process technology, synthesis, in situ characterization, computational, theoretical modeling, imaging and others are included if there is a clear relationship to catalysis. Each issue of Catalysis Today covers a distinct topic. Types of publication are:Selected papers based on a symposia, workshop, or conference.Review articles, in-depth tutorials, or original publications on a common theme.Monographs (detailed papers covering a specific subject, typically of sufficient scope to constitute a full journal issue).Researchers who would like to serve as Guest Editors are encouraged to contact any of the journal Editors to answer specific questions.

Cell Chemical Biology

  • ISSN: 2451-9456
  • 5 Year impact factor: 8.2
  • Impact factor: 6.6
Cell Chemical Biology is a Cell Press journal that aims to publish the most important advances in chemical biology research of exceptional interest for our diverse community, from basic scientists to clinicians. Launched in 1994 under the title Chemistry & Biology, the journal was the first to recognize the growing importance of investigations at the interface of chemistry and biology. The mission has always been to support and promote chemical biology and conversation and collaboration between chemical and life sciences.Cell Chemical Biology strongly encourages submission of articles that provide significant conceptual advancement of broad general interest to researchers within chemical, biological, clinical, and associated fields. We are especially interested in papers that combine the use of chemical tools to perturb, visualize, and measure biological systems and cellular processes and offer unique insights into molecular mechanisms or disease biology, and therapeutics. We welcome submissions that are focused on method development highlighting significant technical advancements in chemical probes, tools, and technologies, including imaging tools, analytical platform development and application strategies for basic life sciences or that have practical impact for either drug development, or clinical and biotechnological advances.Research areas that we consider within our scope include but are not limited to studies of biochemistry, metabolism, and physiology; drug discovery; cancer biology; immunology, immunomodulation; neuromodulation; transcription/gene regulation; disease mechanism and therapeutics; new therapeutic modalities; signaling pathways; virology; molecular microbiology; natural product biosynthesis; generation, distribution, and function of small molecule-protein conjugates such as post-translational modifications; mechanism of resistance to small molecules by viruses/bacteria/cancer cells/organisms; intra- and intercellular and intra- and interspecies communication mediated by small molecules; and chemical biology of lipids, sugars, and nucleic acids. Finally, large-scale studies enabled by the use of chemistry-based technology, such as proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, genomics, and glycomics, are also within our scope, as well as synthetic and systems biology work when inspired and supported by chemical tools or aimed at engineering biological systems to perform a new type of chemical transformation.Cell Chemical Biology mission statementWe publish, support, and promote chemical biology, a unique discipline that harnesses power of chemistry to deliver profound insights into biological function, and develop solutions for life sciences, biotechnology, and human health. Our mission is to publish review and research content that pushes biology and our ability to study it forward and to have an editorial reputation for integrity, responsiveness, fairness, and friendliness.Visit the Cell Press website for more information about Cell Chemical Biology - http://www.cell.com/cell-chemical-biology/home

Cell Reports Methods

  • ISSN: 2667-2375
  • 5 Year impact factor: 4.3
  • Impact factor: 4.3
Cell Reports Methods is an open access, multidisciplinary journal from Cell Press publishing significant methodological advances of broad interest. The primary criterion for publication in Cell Reports Methods is a robust, reproducible method that will spur scientific progress. We will also consider papers presenting a new tool or set of reagents that will be of significant utility and interest to the community. Cell Reports Methods publishes shorter, single-point stories, called Reports, in addition to a longer Article format. Areas of interest include innovations in sequencing and imaging technologies, genome editing, single-molecule approaches, computational methods, biotechnology, and synthetic biology. We are committed to open science and scientific reproducibility. To promote these goals, we offer the following to our authors, reviewers, and readers:Opportunity to co-publish bench-top protocols through collaboration with STAR ProtocolsApplication of the STAR Methods structure to ensure transparency and reproducibilityData and code required for reviewers at the time of submissionMandatory deposition of raw data at resubmissionVisit the Cell Press website for more information about Cell Reports Methods - http://www.cell.com/cell-reports-methods/home
