Limnologica
Limnologica publishes peer-reviewed articles that provide new insights into biological, physical and chemical aspects of freshwater ecosystems and adjacent habitats, both from basic and applied research. We welcome original contributions and reviews to understanding mechanisms that govern ecosystem responses to environmental change (e.g. trophic state, climate, usage, impoundment) or to problem-solving (e.g. ecological engineering, bioindication, restoration and conservation) as well as contributions on aquatic ecosystems or world regions that have been less frequently studied. Limnologica is a primary journal for limnologists, aquatic ecologists, freshwater biologists, aquatic geochemists and environmental engineers working with freshwater ecosystems and their catchments.

Finite Elements in Analysis and Design
An International Journal for Innovations in Computational MethodologiesThe aim of this journal is to provide a platform discussing the development and advanced use of computational models involving the finite element method in science and engineering. The emphasis of the journal is put on mathematical and theoretical foundations, computer implementation of numerical methods, and use of numerical procedures to solve practical but challenging problems. Works demonstrating synergistic methodological or technical developments between emerging fields, such as data science and probabilistic modeling, and more traditional computational approaches are encouraged. Review articles presenting unbiased and comprehensive reviews of state-of-the-art topics will also be considered. All submissions to FINEL will be peer reviewed, and must have archival value to be suitable for publication. Reflecting the aforementioned emphasis on solution of practical problems, numerical demonstration of proposed methodologies will generally be considered a necessary ingredient for papers appearing in FINEL. Conversely, applications of existing finite element techniques to widely studied problems, or restricted to dataset generation, will typically not be favorably considered for publication. The journal encompasses any field where numerical solution procedures for initial/boundary value problems are needed to meet design and analysis needs. Although the following list is not exhaustive, contributions are sought in structural mechanics, geomechanics, mechanical engineering, mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, thermal sciences, hydrology, chemical engineering, biomechanics, electrical engineering, aero/astro engineering, and environmental engineering and science. In addition to contributions focused directly on numerical methodologies, submissions dealing with computer-aided engineering methods, parallel computing, optimal design strategies, mesh generation and post processing, code validation, experimental verification, and visualization are also solicited.

Quaternary Geochronology
The International Research and Review Journal on Advances in Quaternary Dating TechniquesQuaternary Geochronology is an international journal devoted to the publication of the highest-quality, peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of dating methods applicable to the Quaternary Period - the last 2.6 million years of Earth history. Reliable ages are fundamental to place changes in climates, landscapes, flora and fauna - including the evolution and ecological impact of humans - in their correct temporal sequence, and to understand the tempo and mode of geological and biological processes. Some Quaternary dating methods are well established, while others are in the early stages of development. Quaternary Geochronology provides a readily accessible platform to rapidly communicate the latest developments and applications in these emerging fields, as well as improvements made to more traditional methods of age determination. New technological capabilities are providing a greater understanding of the underlying principles of age estimation and are stimulating innovative applications.Quatern... Geochronology will publish research in the following areas: • Principles of geochronological methods • Advances in methodology, analytical procedures and instrumentation • Methodological standardisations and inter-laboratory comparisons • Calibrations and comparisons of different methods • Novel and groundbreaking applications in all fields of Quaternary researchThe following contributions will be accepted: • Original research papers and case studies • Review papers • Special thematic issues • Viewpoint articles • Letters to the Editors (including comments on papers published in Quaternary Geochronology) • Book reviewsThis journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals

Composite Structures
The past few decades have seen outstanding advances in the use of composite materials in structural applications. There can be little doubt that, within engineering circles, composites have revolutionised traditional design concepts and made possible an unparalleled range of new and exciting possibilities as viable materials for construction. Composite Structures, an International Journal, disseminates knowledge between users, manufacturers, designers and researchers involved in structures or structural components manufactured using composite materials. The journal publishes papers which contribute to knowledge in the use of composite materials in engineering structures. Papers deal with design, research and development studies, experimental investigations, theoretical analysis and fabrication techniques relevant to the application of composites in load-bearing components for assemblies, ranging from individual components such as plates and shells to complete composite structures.Benefits to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Mechanics Research Communications
Mechanics Research Communications publishes, as rapidly as possible, peer-reviewed manuscripts of high standards. Submitted manuscripts should have a clear and concise exposition that incorporates all figures, tables and references. It aims to provide:• a fast means of communication • an exchange of ideas among workers in mechanics • an effective method of bringing new results quickly to the public • an informal vehicle for the discussion • of ideas that may still be in the formative stagesThe field of Mechanics will be understood to encompass the behavior of continua, fluids, solids, particles and their mixtures. Submissions must contain a strong, novel contribution to the field of mechanics, and ideally should be focused on current issues in the field involving theoretical, experimental and/or applied research, preferably within the broad expertise encompassed by the Board of Associate Editors. Deviations from these areas should be discussed in advance with the Editor-in-Chief.
