Journals in Materials science
The Materials Science portfolio includes titles covering core knowledge and new research and applications across the field: nanotechnology and nanomaterials; polymers and plastics; textiles; composites and ceramics; electronic, magnetic, and optical materials; metals and alloys; biomaterials; surface and film science and coating technologies; materials chemistry, and more. In-depth coverage, innovative state-of-the-art approaches, and real-world application examples provide valuable, actionable insights for researchers, students, and the corporate sector. Elsevier's Materials Science portfolio places special attention on areas of current and emerging interest such as additive manufacturing / 3D printing, graphene and 2D materials, smart materials, biomimetics... The content in Elsevier's Materials Science titles program addresses core challenges facing science and society: sustainable energy technologies, the circular economy, health and human welfare.
International Journal of Adhesion and Adhesives
The International Journal of Adhesion and Adhesives (IJAA) draws together the many aspects of the science and technology of adhesive materials, from fundamental research and development work to industrial applications. Subject areas covered include: interfacial interactions, surface chemistry, methods of testing, accumulation of test data on physical and mechanical properties, environmental effects, new adhesive materials, sealants, design of bonded joints, and manufacturing technology. IJAA also welcomes scientifically robust research and reviews on the developments of technologies related to hard and soft tissue adhesion of dental and biomedical materials. IJAA does NOT deal with soldering and welding. The above list is not exhaustive but the editors will reject any proposed papers which they consider to outside the scope of the journal.- ISSN: 0143-7496

Composites Communications
Composites Communications publishes peer-refereed short communications, letters, review articles and full length articles on the latest advances and progresses in composites science and technology. It aims to disseminate new knowledge to the broad composites community in a timely fashion with its rapid review and publication process.Composites Communications welcomes manuscripts reporting;creative concepts and new findings in design, state-of-the-art approaches in processing, synthesis, characterization and mechanics modelling, clear, new and novel findings, which advance the field,microstructura... design and performance,In addition to the traditional fiber-/particulate-r... engineering composites, composites with outstanding physical, mechanical and fracture properties, and unique functions and thus significant application potential, such as polymer composites, biomimetic and bio-inspired composites for biomedical applications, functional nano-composites for thermal management, energy harvesting and storage, composites for extreme service environments are encouraged. The journal is endorsed by the Chinese Society for Composite Materials.- ISSN: 2452-2139

Reactive and Functional Polymers
An International Journal devoted to their Science and TechnologyReactive & Functional Polymers provides a forum to disseminate original ideas, concepts and developments in the science and technology of polymers with functional groups, which impart specific chemical reactivity or physical, chemical, structural, biological, and pharmacological functionality. The scope covers organic polymers, acting for instance as reagents, catalysts, templates, ion-exchangers, selective sorbents, chelating or antimicrobial agents, drug carriers, sensors, membranes, and hydrogels. This also includes reactive cross-linkable prepolymers and high-performance thermosetting polymers, natural or degradable polymers, conducting polymers, and porous polymers.Original research articles must contain thorough molecular and material characterization data on synthesis of the above polymers in combination with their applications. Applications include but are not limited to catalysis, water or effluent treatment, separations and recovery, electronics and information storage, energy conversion, encapsulation, or adhesion.Full-length papers, perspectives and review articles will be considered. We welcome cutting-edge, original research within our scope. Modelling and simulation work will be considered only when linked to new or previously published experimental results. Lack of originality and novelty, insufficient molecular characterisation, or poor comparison with the current state of the art are reasons for rejection.- ISSN: 1381-5148

Micro and Nanostructures
Formerly known as Superlattices and Microstructures.Micr... and Nanostructures is a journal disseminating the science and technology of micro-structures and nano-structures in materials and their devices, including individual and collective use of semiconductors, metals and insulators for the exploitation of their unique properties. The journal hosts papers dealing with fundamental and applied experimental research as well as theoretical studies. Fields of interest, including emerging ones, cover: • Novel micro and nanostructures • Nanomaterials (nanowires, nanodots, 2D materials ) and devices • Synthetic heterostructures • Plasmonics • Micro and nano-defects in materials (semiconductor, metal and insulators) • Surfaces and interfaces of thin filmsIn addition to Research Papers, the journal aims at publishing Topical Reviews providing insights into rapidly evolving or more mature fields. Written by leading researchers in their respective fields, those articles are commissioned by the Editorial Board.- ISSN: 0749-6036
