      The International Journal of the Political, Economic, Planning, Environmental and Social Aspects of EnergyEnergy Policy is an international peer-reviewed journal addressing the policy implications of energy supply and use from their economic, social, planning and environmental aspects. Papers may cover global, regional, national, or even local topics that are of wider policy significance, and of interest to international agencies, governments, public and private sector entities, local communities and non-governmental organisations. Within this broad spectrum, topics of particular interest include energy and environmental regulation, energy supply security, the quality and efficiency of energy services, the effectiveness of market-based approaches and/or governmental interventions, technological innovation and diffusion, and voluntary initiatives where the broader policy implications can be recognised. Policy prescriptions are required to be supported by rigorous analysis and balanced appraisal.Given the aims and scope of Energy Policy, all submitted papers should explicitly address policy issues involving energy supply or use.This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals, in particular SDG 7 (Affordable and clean energy).Special issue proposals Prospective guest editor(s) should submit written proposals that incorporate the rationale for the special issue topic, positions it in the literature, and include some illustrative topics and proposed contributors.       Applied Energy provides a forum for information on research, innovation, development, and demonstration in the areas of energy conversion and conservation, the optimal use of energy resources, analysis and optimization of energy processes, multi-energy systems, mitigation of environmental pollutants through sustainable, secure, efficient energy systems, and fair and efficient transition to a Net Zero future. The journal publishes original research papers, review articles, technology assessment, bibliographical studies, and perspective papers. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts which bridge the gaps between research, development, and implementation. The breadth of coverage ranges from innovative technologies and systems of both low-carbon and renewable energy to the economic industrial, commercial, and domestic use of energy with no or minor impact on the environment.       Progress in Nuclear Energy is an international review journal covering all aspects of nuclear science and engineering especially applicable to nuclear energy. In keeping with the maturity of nuclear fission power, articles on various technical aspects of nuclear power plants including safety, siting and environmental issues are encouraged, as are those associated with economics, public policy, and fuel management. However, studies of new physics phenomena and engineering design and analysis tools and innovations will remain an important aspect of the journal's scope. Articles published in Progress in Nuclear Energy are either of a review nature or present new material in more depth. They are aimed at researchers and technically oriented managers working in the nuclear energy field.Please note the following: PNE seeks high quality innovative research papers which are medium to long in length. Short research papers should be submitted to the journal Annals of Nuclear Energy.PNE reserves the right to reject papers which are based solely on routine application of computer codes used to produce reactor designs or reproduce known reactor phenomena. Such papers, although worthy, are best left as laboratory reports. Climate change and conservation of energy requires an efficient combustion of fossil fuels and as importantly, emerging sustainable energy systems beyond combustion. The protection of the environment demands a limitation of the pollutants, including greenhouse gases, emitted from combustion and other energy-intensive systems. Combustion also plays an important role in process technology and materials science.Progress in Energy and Combustion Science contains articles by internationally recognized authors in the fields of combustion, flames, fuel science and technology, and a wide range of sustainable energy solutions. Each volume contains a number of specially commissioned review articles that provide the reader with an orderly and concise survey and scientific discussion of a particular aspect of combustion and energy. While they should not be unnecessarily long, the length of the articles allows authors to discuss their subjects more fully and comprehensively than can be undertaken in papers reporting original work. These review articles provide an opportunity for researchers to become usefully informed in fields other than their own. They are of use to students seeking a review of a particular subject, together with a comprehensive bibliography, as well as to engineers working in government and industrial research establishments, seeking practical solutions.Reviews are by invitation of the editors only.       Biomass & Bioenergy is an international journal publishing original research papers and short communications, review articles and case studies on biological resources, chemical and biological processes, and biomass products for new renewable sources of energy and materials. The scope of the journal extends to the environmental, management and economic aspects of biomass and bioenergy.Key areas covered by the journal: • Biomass: sources, energy crop production processes, genetic improvements, composition. Please note that research on these biomass subjects must be linked directly to bioenergy generation. • Biological Residues: residues/rests from agricultural production, forestry and plantations (palm, sugar etc), processing industries, and municipal sources (MSW). Papers on the use of biomass residues through innovative processes/technologi... novelty and/or consideration of feedstock/system sustainability (or unsustainability) are welcomed. However waste treatment processes and pollution control or mitigation which are only tangentially related to bioenergy are not in the scope of the journal, as they are more suited to publications in the environmental arena. Papers that describe conventional waste streams (ie well described in existing literature) that do not empirically address 'new' added value from the process are not suitable for submission to the journal. • Bioenergy Processes: fermentations, thermochemical conversions, liquid and gaseous fuels, and petrochemical substitutes. • Bioenergy Utilization: direct combustion, gasification, electricity production, chemical processes, and by-product remediation. • Biomass and the Environment: carbon cycle, the net energy efficiency of bioenergy systems, assessment of sustainability, and biodiversity issues.The journal does not consider papers on the following subjects: • Performance of fuel combustion in engines. • Technical aspects of first generation biofuels. • Soil science papers with no direct linking to bioenergy generation. • Isolation of yeast/bacterial strains. • Purely analytical biochemistry derived studies that have no direct linking to bioenergy generation.This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals, in particular SDG 7 (Affordable and clean energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
