This means that papers that go into too many details of one of the supporting disciplines (such as chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, material sciences, etc.) without making a good link with water research in general may be rejected up-front. Cretaceous Research
Cretaceous Research provides a forum for the rapid publication of research on all aspects of the Cretaceous Period, including its boundaries with the Jurassic and Palaeogene with emphasis on multidisciplinary research. Authoritative papers reporting detailed investigations of Cretaceous integrated stratigraphy and palaeontology, palaeobiogeography, palaeoceanography, palaeoclimatology, evolutionary palaeoecology, paleobiology, geochronology, global events (e.g., K/Pg boundary, Oceanic Anoxic Events), regional geology, and reviews of recently published books are complemented by short communications of significant new findings.Papers submitted to Cretaceous Research should place the research in a broad context and should be focused to better understand the Cretaceous geology and climate, that are therefore of interest to the diverse, international readership of the journal. Agricultural and Forest Meteorology is an international journal dedicated to advancing the science of land-atmosphere interactions across agriculture, forests and other terrestrial systems (e.g. wetlands, tundra, urban environments). Marine Geology
Marine Geology is the journal on marine geological processes in the broadest sense. It seeks papers that are comprehensive, interdisciplinary and synthetic that will be lasting contributions to the field. Papers must demonstrate new findings and their context and significance discussed in terms of the international literature.Marine Geology accepts papers on subjects as diverse as seafloor hydrothermal systems, beach dynamics, early diagenesis, microbiological studies in sediments, palaeoclimate studies and geophysical studies of the seabed. Papers that address emerging new fields, for example the influence of anthropogenic processes on coastal and marine geology are particularly welcomed.The papers should be concerned with the coastal and marine realm in the broad sense and should deal with rocks, sediments, landforms (sedimentology, geomorphology, geoarchaeology, geochemistry), the physical and chemical and biological processes affecting them, and the characteristics and evolution of the processes/mechanisms as revealed by sedimentary archives.Papers should address scientific hypotheses: data compilations, including 'big data' and datasets of global significance, and papers that deal with marine management and risk assessment, sustainability issues, and hydrocarbon reservoir characterisation may be submitted to the journal on the condition that they demonstrate a close and clear relationship between these issues and coastal/marine geological processes and deposits. Papers on laboratory or modelling studies must demonstrate direct relevance to marine processes or deposits. Papers dealing with coastal deposits now on land may be accepted on condition that these deposits show continuity with, and their interpretation is relevant to, coastal and marine processes. Papers dealing with continental deposits that do not correspond to these criteria and must be submitted to other journals. Organic Geochemistry
The International Journal for the Rapid Publication of Current Research in Organic Geochemistry and Biogeochemistry and The Official Journal of the European Association of Organic GeochemistsOrganic Geochemistry serves as the only dedicated medium for the publication of peer-reviewed research on all phases of geochemistry in which organic compounds play a major role. The Editors welcome contributions covering a wide spectrum of subjects in the geosciences broadly based on organic chemistry (including molecular and isotopic geochemistry), and involving geology, biogeochemistry, environmental geochemistry, chemical oceanography and hydrology.The scope of the journal includes research involving organic matter in ancient strata (including source rocks, petroleum, natural gas and coal), recent sediments, the aqueous environment, and soils and the role of organics in the geochemical cycling of the elements. Sedimentological, paleontological and organic petrographic studies will also be considered for publication, if they are geochemically oriented. Papers cover the full range of research activities in organic geochemistry, and include comprehensive review articles, technical communications, discussion/reply correspondence and short technical notes. The Journal of Marine Systems provides a medium for interdisciplinary exchange among scientists and engineers engaged in marine sciences and technologies. The Journal of High Energy Astrophysics (JHEAP) is the first astrophysical journal that focuses on the study of the most energetic phenomena.JHEAP seeks scientifically sound papers, and particularly those crossing strict specialization fields, attracting wide interest. The journal welcomes manuscripts on theoretical models, simulations and observations of energetic astrophysical objects both in our Galaxy and beyond. Among those, black holes at all scales, neutron stars, pulsars and their nebula, magnetars, fast radio bursts, binaries, novae and supernovae, their remnants, active galaxies are just a few examples. The journal will consider research across the whole electromagnetic spectrum, as well as research using various messengers, such as gravitational waves or neutrinos. Effects of high-energy phenomena on cosmology and star-formation, results from dedicated surveys expanding the knowledge of extreme environments, and astrophysical implications of dark matter are also welcomed topics.The journal does not accept purely theoretical papers without applications to high-energy astronomical objects. In particular, papers on modified gravity, black hole physics, and unified theories without astrophysical applications are considered out of the scope of the journal.JHEAP has no page charges and has a delayed Open Access model, meaning that your article will automatically and without charge become Open Access after 12 months. The journal also accepts Letters, which disseminates timely and impactful results in the field. There is no length limit to the Letters. A speed-up refereeing process (typically in 2 weeks) is reinforced.
