Nitric Oxide is an international journal publishing original research articles, methodological advances, state-of-the-art protocols, and invited reviews focused on the chemistry, redox biology, and signaling of nitric oxide and related small signaling molecules, including hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide. The journal highlights advances in the enzymatic and non-enzymatic production of these molecules, their chemical interactions, the activation and function of second messengers (such as cGMP, cAMP, and non-canonical cyclic nucleotides), and post-translational modifications involved in the regulation of physiological processes and their implications for human health and disease.We welcome interdisciplinary studies spanning biological chemistry, physiology, pharmacology, enzymology, and pathophysiology, as well as clinical investigations. Structure, Function and InteractionsThe International Journal of Biological Macromolecules is an established international journal of research into chemical and biological aspects of all natural macromolecules.It presents the latest findings of studies on the molecular structure and properties of proteins, macromolecular carbohydrates, glycoproteins, proteoglycans, lignins, biological poly-acids, and nucleic acids. These findings must be new and novel rather than a repeat of earlier or analogous published work. The scope includes biological activities and interactions, molecular associations, chemical and biological modifications, and functional properties. Papers on related model systems, structural conformational studies, theoretical developments and new analytical techniques are also welcome. All papers are required to focus primarily on at least one named biological macromolecule. International Immunopharmacology is the primary vehicle for the publication of original research papers pertinent to the overlapping areas of immunology, pharmacology, cytokine biology, immunotherapy, immunopathology and immunotoxicology. An official journal of the International Metabolic Engineering Society Metabolic Engineering (MBE) is devoted to the publication of original research papers on the directed modulation of metabolic pathways for metabolite over production or the improvement of cellular properties. Papers describing native pathway engineering and synthesis of heterologous pathways for converting microorganisms into microbial cell factories are also welcome.Experimental... computational, and modelling approaches for the elucidation of metabolic pathways and their manipulation by genetic, media, or other environmental means are presented. Efficient probing of metabolic pathways requires the application of appropriate methods from molecular biology and biochemistry, along with modeling and data analysis techniques from engineering.
