Journal of Psychosomatic Research
Official Journal of the European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine and affiliated with the International College of Psychosomatic MedicineThe Journal of Psychosomatic Research is a multidisciplinary research journal covering all aspects of the relationships between psychology and medicine. The scope is broad and ranges from basic human biological and psychological research to evaluations of treatment and services. Papers will normally be concerned with illness or patients rather than studies of healthy populations. Studies concerning special populations, such as the elderly and children and adolescents, are welcome. In addition to peer-reviewed original papers, the journal publishes editorials, reviews, and other papers related to the journal's aims.

Primary Care Diabetes
Primary Care Diabetes is the official journal of Primary Care Diabetes Europe. The journal publishes original research articles and high quality reviews in the fields of clinical care, diabetes education, nutrition, health services, psychosocial research and epidemiology and other areas as far as is relevant for diabetology in a primary-care setting. The purpose of the journal is to encourage interdisciplinary research and discussion between all those who are involved in primary diabetes care on an international level. The Journal also publishes news and articles concerning the policies and activities of Primary Care Diabetes Europe and reflects the society's aim of improving the care for people with diabetes mellitus within the primary-care setting. Please visit http://www.primary-c... for free content.

Growth Hormone & IGF Research
Growth Hormone & IGF Research is a forum for research on the regulation of growth and metabolism in humans, animals, tissues and cells. It publishes articles on all aspects of growth-promoting and growth-inhibiting hormones and factors, with particular emphasis on insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) and growth hormone. This reflects the increasing importance of growth hormone and IGFs in clinical medicine and in the treatment of diseases.

Nutrition
The International Journal of Applied and Basic Nutritional SciencesFounded by Michael M. Meguid in the early 1980's, Nutrition presents advances in nutrition research and science, informs its readers on new and advancing technologies and data in clinical nutrition practice, encourages the application of outcomes research and meta-analyses to problems in patient-related nutrition; and seeks to help clarify and set the research, policy and practice agenda for nutrition science to enhance human well-being in the years ahead. Papers on nutrition-related plant or animal sciences are unlikely to be considered as they are outside the main focus of the Journal.

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics
ABB: Publishing great science for over 75 years!Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics publishes quality original articles and reviews in the developing areas of biochemistry and biophysics. The focus of the journal is on studies that significantly advance mechanism. Scientifically valid reports of studies that do not advance the understanding of the underlying mechanism of the system under study are unlikely to be accepted.Research areas includeEnzyme and protein structure, function, regulation. Folding, turnover, and post-translational processing Biological oxidations, free radical reactions, redox signaling, oxygenases, P450 reactions Signal transduction, receptors, membrane transport, intracellular signalsCellular and integrated metabolismInflammati... and molecular mechanisms of diseaseOmics studies require experimental validation demonstrating the molecular mechanism.

Journal of Theoretical Biology
The Journal of Theoretical Biology is the leading forum for theoretical perspectives that give insight into biological processes. It covers a very wide range of topics and is of interest to biologists in many areas of research, including:• Brain and Neuroscience • Cancer Growth and Treatment • Cell Biology • Developmental Biology • Ecology • Evolution • Immunology, • Infectious and non-infectious Diseases, • Mathematical, Computational, Biophysical and Statistical Modeling • Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry • Networks and Complex Systems • Physiology • Pharmacodynamics • Animal Behavior and Game TheoryAcceptable papers are those that bear significant importance on the biology per se being presented, and not on the mathematical analysis. Papers that include some data or experimental material bearing on theory will be considered, including those that contain comparative study, statistical data analysis, mathematical proof, computer simulations, experiments, field observations, or even philosophical arguments, which are all methods to support or reject theoretical ideas. However, there should be a concerted effort to make papers intelligible to biologists in the chosen field.Whatever the topic of the paper, please note that the biological significance of the problem being studied should be clearly stated. In addition, Highlights are required for each article and they should feature the biological applications as well as any theoretical advancements.Highly speculative papers not based on current biological knowledge will not be accepted. Importantly, papers in which only mathematics is utilized, only technical mathematical results are proved, or standard statistical/bioinfor... methods are applied to existing genomic data, without new theoretical perspective or biologically novel insight will NOT be considered. The journal does not accept unsolicited review papers. Comments on theoretical issues or on papers published specifically in the Journal of Theoretical Biology are welcomed in the form of Letters to the Editors.

Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes & Essential Fatty Acids
Official Journal of the International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and LipidsThe role of lipids, including essential fatty acids and their prostaglandin, leukotriene and other derivatives, is now evident in almost all areas of biomedical science. Cell membrane behaviour and cell signalling in all tissues are highly dependent on the lipid constituents of cells. Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes & Essential Fatty Acids aims to cover all aspects of the roles of lipids in cellular, organ and whole organism function, and places a particular emphasis on human studies. Papers concerning all medical specialties are published. Much of the material is particularly relevant to the development of novel treatments for disease.

Chemico-Biological Interactions
A journal of molecular, cellular and biochemical toxicologyChemico-Bi... Interactions publishes research reports and review articles that examine the molecular, cellular, and/or biochemical basis of toxicologically relevant outcomes. Special emphasis is placed on toxicological mechanisms associated with interactions between chemicals and biological systems. Outcomes may include all traditional endpoints caused by synthetic or naturally occurring chemicals, both in vivo and in vitro. Endpoints of interest include, but are not limited to carcinogenesis, mutagenesis, respiratory toxicology, neurotoxicology, reproductive and developmental toxicology, and immunotoxicology.CBI discourages papers that are descriptive in nature and that do not address toxicological mechanisms (e.g., reports of toxicological effects following chemical exposure in absence of mechanistic experiments). CBI also discourages papers reporting on toxicological effects from materials, such as plant extracts or herbal medicines, that have not been chemically characterized.
