Endocrine Practice, the flagship journal of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, is a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal publishing the latest clinical information on the treatment of diabetes, nutrition and obesity, thyroid disease, bone and parathyroid disease, lipid and cardiovascular health, and pituitary, gonad, adrenal, and neuroendocrine disorders.The journal is intended to enhance the clinical knowledge, treatment, and management of pediatric and adult endocrine diseases for the endocrinologist and endocrine care community, and publishes original research, clinical trials, reviews, commentaries, and editorials. Special articles include AACE's clinical guidance documents: clinical practice guidelines, consensus statements, and treatment algorithms.

Cognitive Systems Research
Cognitive Systems Research is dedicated to the study of human-level cognition. As such, it welcomes papers which advance the understanding, design and applications of cognitive and intelligent systems, both natural and artificial.The journal brings together a broad community studying cognition in its many facets in vivo and in silico, across the developmental spectrum, focusing on individual capacities or on entire architectures. It aims to foster debate and integrate ideas, concepts, constructs, theories, models and techniques from across different disciplines and different perspectives on human-level cognition. The scope of interest includes the study of cognitive capacities and architectures - both brain-inspired and non-brain-inspired - and the application of cognitive systems to real-world problems as far as it offers insights relevant for the understanding of cognition.Cognitive Systems Research therefore welcomes mature and cutting-edge research approaching cognition from a systems-oriented perspective, both theoretical and empirically-informed... in the form of original manuscripts, short communications, opinion articles, systematic reviews, and topical survey articles from the fields of Cognitive Science (including Philosophy of Cognitive Science), Artificial Intelligence/Compute... Science, Cognitive Robotics, Developmental Science, Psychology, and Neuroscience and Neuromorphic Engineering. Empirical studies will be considered if they are supplemented by theoretical analyses and contributions to theory development and/or computational modelling studies. Note that the journal does not publish clinical and medical papers. We also do not publish pure machine learning papers, e.g. studies proposing variants of classifiers or pure algorithmic improvements that bear no connection to cognitive systems research in the sense above.Additionally, Cognitive Systems Research plays a special role in fostering and promoting the 'BICA Challenge' to create a real-life computational equivalent of the human mind by devoting two special issues to BICA AI (Brain-Inspired Cognitive Architectures for Artificial Intelligence) related topics each year.

Biochemical Pharmacology
Biochemical Pharmacology publishes original research findings and review articles related to the elucidation of cellular and tissue function(s) at the biochemical and molecular levels, the modification of cellular phenotype(s) by genetic, transcriptional/tran... or drug/compound-induce... modifications, as well as the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of xenobiotics and drugs, the latter including both small molecules and biologics.The journal's target audience includes scientists engaged in the identification and study of the mechanisms of action of xenobiotics, biologics and drugs and in the drug discovery and development process.All areas of cellular biology and cellular, tissue/organ and whole animal pharmacology fall within the scope of the journal. Drug classes covered include anti-infectives, anti-inflammatory agents, chemotherapeutics, cardiovascular, endocrinological, immunological, metabolic, neurological and psychiatric drugs, as well as research on drug metabolism and kinetics. While medicinal chemistry is a topic of complementary interest, manuscripts in this area must contain sufficient biological data to characterize pharmacologically the compounds reported. Submissions describing work focused predominately on chemical synthesis and molecular modeling will not be considered for review.While particular emphasis is placed on reporting the results of molecular and biochemical studies, research involving the use of tissue and animal models of human pathophysiology and toxicology is of interest to the extent that it helps define drug mechanisms of action, safety and efficacy.Reports describing experiments conducted with natural product mixtures, plant or animal extracts will not be considered for publication unless the structures and concentrations of all component substances are known, and the agents can be easily obtained by others wishing to replicate the study.The chemical structure of all novel compounds tested must be included in the submitted manuscript or be readily accessible in the published literature. References to structures in the patent literature must unambiguously identify a single molecular structure. All compounds, reagents, instrumentation and equipment employed in a study must be available from identified commercial suppliers, bio/pharmaceutical companies or from individuals holding legal rights to their use. Submissions will not be considered for publication if the chemical structures of tested compounds are not revealed, generally known, or accessible in the literature.Original research submissions must contain:A rationale for the selection of the compound/drug for study as well as for the concentrations/doses employed. Quantities used for concentration- and dose-response experiments should vary logarithmically, e.g., 1, 3, 10, 30 mg/kg, 0.1, 1.0, 10, 100 nanomolar, etc. Justification must be provided for studying only a single concentration or dose of a compound, especially as it relates to reference standards and antagonists/modulato... of receptors, enzymes and signaling pathways.Justificati... must also be provided for the selection of the statistical tests employed as they relate to the experimental design.It is expected that all findings have been subjected to rigorous quantitative analyses, with the calculation and reporting of IC50, Ki, EC50, etc., values. These must be derived from a minimum of three (3) separate and distinct experiments, with the replicates within any single experiment being averaged to obtain a single value for that experimental series.Manuscripts that fail to meet these criteria will be subject to rejection without peer-review.

The International Peer-Reviewed Journal of Drug TherapyClinical Therapeutics provides peer-reviewed, rapid publication of recent developments in drug and other therapies as well as in diagnostics, pharmacoeconomics, health policy, treatment outcomes, and innovations in drug and biologics research. In addition Clinical Therapeutics features updates on specific topics collated by expert Topic Editors. Clinical Therapeutics is read by a large international audience of scientists and clinicians in a variety of research, academic, and clinical practice settings. Articles are indexed by all major biomedical abstracting databases.Published articles range from pivotal studies exploring new chemical entities in large, multicenter trials to those exploring repurposing of marketed agents. Additionally, pilot studies; reports that assess drug safety and tolera-bility in all phases of development; new routes of administration and new formulations; pharmacokinetic, bio-availability, and biosimilarity; and changes in practice guidelines and standards, are all of interest for publication. Clinical Therapeutics also understands the importance of strengthening the body of evidence surrounding particular agents through the publication of replication studies, negative trials, and failed trials.Beyond the clinic, we seek reports that examine the real-world implications of therapeutics such as comparative effectiveness and pharmacoeconomics studies as well as work that has implications for health policy. Commentaries, which include perspectives and contemporary issues, are sought to offer a balance of viewpoints and scholarly opinion on a broad array of drug-related topics.
