Transplant Immunology will publish up-to-date information on all aspects of the broad field it encompasses. The journal is directed to general scientific and medical audience but in particular to basic and applied scientists, transplant-related laboratory personnel, transplant physicians and surgeons. The journal will present research reports and clinical data on all immunological aspects of organ-, tissue-, and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Furthermore, the journal is interested to publish high quality basic and clinical research in immunology, physiology and pathophysiology related to processes and diseases affecting transplant patients. Original papers, Brief reports, Cases reports and Review articles and Hypotheses will be considered for publication. Submitted manuscripts will be rapidly peer-reviewed and published. Trends in Genetics
Trends in Genetics was launched in 1985 and quickly became a must read journal for geneticists, known for its concise, accessible articles on a range of topics from developmental biology to evolution. This tradition continues today, and TiG remains a favorite in the community for its distinctive content. As the field has changed, though, so too has the scope of the journal, which now encompasses new areas, such as genomics, epigenetics, and computational genetics, while continuing to cover traditional subjects like transcriptional regulation, population genetics, and chromosome biology. The core aim of the journal, however, is still to provide researchers and students with high-quality, novel reviews, commentaries, and discussions and, above all, to foster an appreciation for the advances being made on all fronts of genetic research.Each issue of TiG contains concise, lively and up-to-date Reviews and Opinions as well as a variety of shorter articles, such as Science & Society and Spotlight pieces. Reviews are invited from leading researchers in a specific field and objectively chronicle recent and important developments. Opinon articles provide a forum for debate and hypothesis, and shorter articles discuss aspects of genetics at the intersection of science and policy as well as emerging ideas in the field. A paper on a new, naturally occurring polysaccharide should include structural information, defining monosaccharide components and linkage sequence.Papers devoted wholly or partly to X-ray crystallographic studies, or to computational aspects (molecular mechanics or molecular orbital calculations, simulations via molecular dynamics), will be considered if they meet certain criteria. For computational papers the requirements are that the methods used be specified in sufficient detail to permit replication of the results, and that the conclusions be shown to have relevance to experimental observations - the authors' own data or data from the literature. Preference is given to contributions describing research results whose feasibility has been demonstrated either in a laboratory or in the industrial praxis. CIRP Members and leading experts are equally encouraged to submit case studies and review papers on specific issues in manufacturing science and technology. The review papers need to be authored by the leading experts with well-established expertise in the field.A typical journal article is authored by the researcher and their supervisor. A paper can also be co-authored with another researcher or institution, but the number of authors typically does not exceed 4-5 people who directly contributed to the research. Others who indirectly contributed (e.g., through editing, conducting experiments, or providing funding) can be acknowledged, but should not be listed as authors.The Journal has been established by CIRP, The International Academy for Production Engineering to meet the needs above. In addition the CIRP has appointed an Editorial Board of Fellows of the Academy which forms a team of highly recognised international experts in the field.The intention is to establish a forum for publishing the best, most innovative research in the field and to this end the journal will publish both in-depth versions of the best papers from CIRP conferences, whilst at the same time, welcoming original contributions from authors worldwide.
