Deep-Sea Research Part II: Topical Studies in Oceanography
Deep-Sea Research Part II: Topical Studies in Oceanography publishes topical issues from the many international and interdisciplinary projects which are undertaken in oceanography. Besides these special issues from projects, the journal publishes collections of papers presented at conferences. The special issues regularly have electronic annexes of non-text material (numerical data, images, images, video, etc.) which are published with the special issues in ScienceDirect. Deep-Sea Research Part II was split off as a separate journal devoted to topical issues in 1993. Its companion journal Deep-Sea Research Part I: Oceanographic Research Papers, publishes the regular research papers in this area.AUTHORS PLEASE NOTE: the Editors cannot accept submissions that are not linked to a thematic issue. Please do not submit unsolicited papers. For information on how to submit a publication proposal for a special/thematic issue, you are cordially invited to contact the Chief Editors, Kenneth Drinkwater or Javier Aristegui. Please see our Guide for Authors for information on article submission. Cognition
International Journal of Cognitive ScienceCognition is an international journal that publishes theoretical and experimental papers on the study of the mind. It covers a wide variety of subjects concerning all the different aspects of cognition, ranging from experimental studies of behavior and of the brain to formal analysis.Papers will be selected on the basis of their scientific quality, their degree of innovation and their unambiguous theoretical advance to the study of cognition. Paper's overall soundness of the argument and degree of empirical motivation, especially from converging sources, are more important than adherence to specific methodological principles. Studies that selectively focus on the cognitive and neural mechanisms that underlie problems with cognition in clinical populations or on purely methodological questions fall outside the scope of Cognition. Because Cognition enjoys a wide readership from many disciplines, authors should explicitly consider the general theoretical issues raised by their work and its relevance to other topics and methods. Materials should describe work done and methods used in a clear and explicit manner (allowing reproduction of the methods by others).- ISSN: 0254-6299

Microbial Pathogenesis
Microbial Pathogenesis publishes original contributions and reviews about the molecular and cellular mechanisms of infectious diseases. It covers microbiology, host-pathogen interaction and immunology related to infectious agents, including bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa. It also accepts papers in the field of clinical microbiology, with the exception of case reports.Research Areas Include:Pathogenesis... factorsHost susceptibility or resistanceImmune mechanismsIdentifica... cloning and sequencing of relevant genesGenetic studiesViruses, prokaryotic organisms and protozoaMicrobiotaSy... biology related to infectious diseasesTargets for vaccine design (pre-clinical studies)The journal aims for rapid publication of articles of high quality and significance in an international forum. Please note that reviews are only accepted upon editorial invitation.Short Communications have the following limits. The manuscript should ideally contain no more than 4-6 Figures/Tables and 4000 words, including the title page, all sections of the manuscript (including the references), and Figure/Table legends. The abstract should be limited to 200 words.Microbial Pathogenesis does not accept submissions that primarily consist of (a) bioinformatics or computational analysis of public genomic or transcriptomic databases, or (b) the testing and evaluation of previously uncharacterized natural product-based drug candidates. The journal does not publish purely bioinformatic or computational studies without substantial experimental validation. Please be aware that experimental validation is a mandatory requirement for all submissions.- ISSN: 0966-3274
Transplant Immunology
Transplant Immunology will publish up-to-date information on all aspects of the broad field it encompasses. The journal is directed to general scientific and medical audience but in particular to basic and applied scientists, transplant-related laboratory personnel, transplant physicians and surgeons. The journal will present research reports and clinical data on all immunological aspects of organ-, tissue-, and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Furthermore, the journal is interested to publish high quality basic and clinical research in immunology, physiology and pathophysiology related to processes and diseases affecting transplant patients. Original papers, Brief reports, Cases reports and Review articles and Hypotheses will be considered for publication. Submitted manuscripts will be rapidly peer-reviewed and published. They will be judged on the basis of scientific merit, originality, timeliness and quality.- ISSN: 8756-3282

International Journal of Pharmaceutics
The International Journal of Pharmaceutics is the third most cited journal in the "Pharmacy & Pharmacology" category out of 366 journals, being the true home for pharmaceutical scientists concerned with the physical, chemical and biological properties of devices and delivery systems for drugs, vaccines and biologicals, including their design, manufacture and evaluation. This includes evaluation of the properties of drugs, excipients such as surfactants and polymers and novel materials. The journal has special sections on pharmaceutical nanotechnology and personalized medicines, and publishes research papers, reviews, commentaries and letters to the editor as well as special issues.Editorial Policy The over-riding criteria for publication are originality, high scientific quality and interest to a multidisciplinary audience. Papers not sufficiently substantiated by experimental detail will not be published. Any technical queries will be referred back to the author, although the Editors reserve the right to make alterations in the text without altering the technical content. Manuscripts submitted under multiple authorship are reviewed on the assumption that all listed authors concur with the submission and that a copy of the final manuscript has been approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities in the laboratories where the work was carried out. If accepted, the manuscript shall not be published elsewhere in the same form, in either the same or another language, without the consent of the Editors and Publisher.Authors must state in a covering letter when submitting papers for publication the novelty embodied in their work or in the approach taken in their research. Routine bioequivalence studies are unlikely to find favour. No paper will be published which does not disclose fully the nature of the formulation used or details of materials which are key to the performance of a product, drug or excipient. Work which is predictable in outcome, for example the inclusion of another drug in a cyclodextrin to yield enhanced dissolution, will not be published unless it provides new insight into fundamental principles.- ISSN: 0958-6946

This is not a mini-review of the topic. An excessive number of tables and figures should not be submitted; additional tables and figures can be submitted as supplementary material if it meets the required criteria (see below for more information). Raw data figures are discouraged (such as examples of chromatograms, dynamic rheological data curves, etc.).An excessive number of references is not included. As a general rule, three or less citations are sufficient to provide evidence for a point being made.A cover letter is prepared, BRIEFLY introducing your article and explaining the novelty of the research. Keywords, Graphical Abstracts, and Highlights are NOT required.
