  • International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents

    • ISSN: 0924-8579
Official journal of the International Society of Antimicrobial ChemotherapyThe International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents provides comprehensive and up-to-date peer reviewed reference information on the physical, pharmacological, in vitro and clinical properties of individual antimicrobial agents (antiviral agents, antiparasitic agents, antibacterial agents, antifungal agents, etc.). In addition, the journal signals new trends and developments in the field through highly authoritative review articles on antimicrobial agents. Special attention is given to articles providing insight into the problems of antimicrobial resistance both in the hospital and in the community. Both solicited reviews by top experts in the mentioned fields and high-quality original research papers are published.Additional information on the ISAC and its activities can be found at the ISAC Web site at: https://www.isac.wor...

  • Microbial Pathogenesis

    • ISSN: 0882-4010
Microbial Pathogenesis publishes original contributions and reviews about the molecular and cellular mechanisms of infectious diseases. It covers microbiology, host-pathogen interaction and immunology related to infectious agents, including bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa. It also accepts papers in the field of clinical microbiology, with the exception of case reports.Research Areas Include:Pathogenesis... factorsHost susceptibility or resistanceImmune mechanismsIdentifica... cloning and sequencing of relevant genesGenetic studiesViruses, prokaryotic organisms and protozoaMicrobiotaSy... biology related to infectious diseasesTargets for vaccine design (pre-clinical studies)The journal aims for rapid publication of articles of high quality and significance in an international forum. Please note that reviews are only accepted upon editorial invitation.Short Communications have the following limits. The manuscript should ideally contain no more than 4-6 Figures/Tables and 4000 words, including the title page, all sections of the manuscript (including the references), and Figure/Table legends. The abstract should be limited to 200 words.Microbial Pathogenesis does not accept submissions that primarily consist of (a) bioinformatics or computational analysis of public genomic or transcriptomic databases, or (b) the testing and evaluation of previously uncharacterized natural product-based drug candidates. The journal does not publish purely bioinformatic or computational studies without substantial experimental validation. Please be aware that experimental validation is a mandatory requirement for all submissions.
  • Journal of Virological Methods

    • ISSN: 0166-0934
Covering methodology and basic scienceThe Journal of Virological Methods focuses on original, high quality research papers that describe novel and comprehensively tested methods which enhance human, animal, plant, bacterial or environmental virology and prions research and discovery. The methods may include, but not limited to, the study of:Viral components and morphologyVirus isolation, propagation and development of viral vectorsViral pathogenesis, oncogenesis, vaccines and antiviralsVirus replication, host-pathogen interactions and responsesVirus transmission, prevention, control and treatmentViral metagenomics and viromeVirus ecology, adaption and evolutionApplied virology such as nanotechnologyViral diagnosis with novelty and comprehensive evaluationBiomarkers leading to the diagnosis or understanding viral infectionWe seek articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses and laboratory protocols that include comprehensive technical details with statistical confirmations that provide validations against current best practice, international standards or quality assurance programs and which advance knowledge in virology leading to improved medical, veterinary or agricultural practices and management.
