Human Immunology
Human Immunology publishes full-length, original, hypothesis-driven basic and clinical research articles as well as brief communications, reviews and editorials covering immunogenetics, transplantation immunology, autoimmunity, and immunity to infectious diseases in humans. It also publishes short population reports, which are tied to the allelefrequencies.ne... database, describing allele frequencies of HLA and KIR.The journal's scope includes understanding the genetic and functional mechanisms that distinguish human individuals in their immune responses to allografts, pregnancy, infections or vaccines as well as the immune responses that lead to autoimmunity, allergy or drug hypersensitivity. It also includes examining the distribution of the genes controlling these responses in populations.Research areas include: • Studies of the genetics, genomics, polymorphism, evolution, and population distribution of immune-related genes • Studies of the expression, structure and function of the products of immune-related genes • Immunogenetics of susceptibility to infectious and autoimmune disease, and allergy • The role of the immune-related genes in hematopoietic stem cell, solid organ, and vascularized composite allograft transplant • Histocompatibility studies including alloantibodies, epitope definition, and T cell alloreactivity • Studies of immunologic tolerance and pregnancy • T cell, B cell, NK and regulatory cell functions, particularly related to subjects within the journal's scope • Pharmacogenomics and vaccine development in the context of immune-related genesHuman Immunology considers immune-related genes to include those encoding classical and non-classical HLA, KIR, MIC, minor histocompatibility antigens (mHAg), immunoglobulins, TCR, BCR, proteins involved in antigen processing and presentation, complement, Fc receptors, chemokines and cytokines. Other immune-related genes may be considered.Human Immunology is also interested in bioinformatics of immune-related genes and organizational topics impacting laboratory processes, organ allocation, clinical strategies, and registries related to autoimmunity and transplantation.Orig... papers with new data will be given preference over uninvited reviews and meta-analyses.Origin... papers with new data will be given preference over uninvited reviews and meta-analyses. As the flagship scientific publication of the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI), Human Immunology is primarily directed to readers with an interest in histocompatibility, immunogenetics, transplantation, anthropology/populat... studies, HLA disease association and pharmacogenomics. These include basic and clinical scientists as well as histocompatibility laboratory professionals.- ISSN: 0165-2478
Immunology Letters
Published by Elsevier as the official journal of the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS), a member of the International Union of Immunological SocietiesImmunology Letters provides a vehicle for the speedy publication of experimental papers, (mini)Reviews and Letters to the Editor addressing all aspects of molecular, cellular, and clinical immunology. As the official journal of the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS), Immunology Letters supports international consortia of experts. The journal welcomes collaborative contributions dedicated to the state-of-the-art of immunology topics, as well as commentaries on those topics.Preference is given to papers of immediate importance to other investigators. Therefore, the essential criteria for publication are clarity, experimental soundness and novelty. Results contradictory to current accepted thinking or ideas divergent from actual dogmas are considered for publication provided they are based on solid experimental findings. Scientific correspondence to the Editor-in-Chief related to the published papers may also be accepted provided they are short and scientifically relevant to the papers mentioned, in order to provide a continuing forum for discussion.- ISSN: 1567-5769
International Immunopharmacology
International Immunopharmacology is the primary vehicle for the publication of original research papers pertinent to the overlapping areas of immunology, pharmacology, cytokine biology, immunotherapy, immunopathology and immunotoxicology. Review articles that encompass these subjects are also welcome. The subject material appropriate for submission includes: • Clinical studies employing immunotherapy of any type including the use of: bacterial and chemical agents; thymic hormones, interferon, lymphokines, etc., in transplantation and diseases such as cancer, immunodeficiency, chronic infection and allergic, inflammatory or autoimmune disorders. • Studies on the mechanisms of action of these agents for specific parameters of immune competence as well as the overall clinical state. • Pre-clinical animal studies and in vitro studies on mechanisms of action with immunopotentiators, immunomodulators, immunoadjuvants and other pharmacological agents active on cells participating in immune or allergic responses. • Pharmacological compounds, microbial products and toxicological agents that affect the lymphoid system, and their mechanisms of action. • Agents that activate genes or modify transcription and translation within the immune response. • Substances activated, generated, or released through immunologic or related pathways that are pharmacologically active. • Production, function and regulation of cytokines and their receptors. • Classical pharmacological studies on the effects of chemokines and bioactive factors released during immunological reactions. • Studies on the nature and function of drug and hormone receptors on lymphocytes and other cells in the immune system.• Studies of cell-derived or humoral factors that modify the immune system causing cytotoxicity, inducing antibody production and mediating inflammatory responses. • The development of immunologically based assays and their application to disease, including assays for drugs, hormones, cyclic nucleotides, tumor antigens, etc. • The Editors will be pleased to receive published books for possible independent review. Please Bookmark this URL: https://www.elsevier... These Backfiles include Immunopharmacology and the International Journal of Immunopharmacology .International Immunopharmacology does not accept submissions that consist primarily of bioinformatics or computational analyses of public genomic or transcriptomic databases, unless they are supported by experimental studies involving cells, organoids, or experimental animals.- ISSN: 0020-7519
International Journal for Parasitology
Sponsored by the Australian Society for ParasitologyThe International Journal for Parasitology publishes the results of original research in all aspects of basic and applied parasitology, including all the fields covered by its Specialist Editors, and ranging from parasites and host-parasite relationships of intrinsic biological interest to those of social and economic importance in human and veterinary medicine and agriculture. Original research includes the development of novel and innovative concepts and ideas, as well as experimental and observational science that raises new hypotheses. We do not publish new genome sequences and assemblies alone without new and significant insight into the biology of the parasite, the parasite-host relationship or mechanisms of pathogenesis. Because of its breadth of discipline coverage, the aims and significance of all contributions should be made clear to readers who are not expert in the particular subject of papers. In applied parasitology, it will tend to favour contributions of broader significance to the subject rather than narrow, highly specialised applications. The principal form of publication is the full length paper which contains substantial results from a major program of research. The Journal also provides a medium for the publication of shorter, but complete, papers reporting highly significant original findings, as Succinctus articles. It also publishes Thematic Issues incorporating papers on a topical theme and commissions papers with emphasis on shorter, focussed Reviews of topical issues and strategically important subjects. The Journal encourages critical comment and debate on matters of current controversy in parasitology via "Current Opinions".The International Journal for Parasitology has also launched two specialist, open access titles you are welcome to submit to:International Journal for Parasitology: Parasites and WildlifeInternationa... Journal for Parasitology: Drugs and Drug Resistance- ISSN: 0924-8579
