    • Transfusion Medicine Reviews

      • ISSN: 0887-7963
Transfusion Medicine Reviews provides an international forum in the English language for the publication of scholarly work devoted to the various sub-disciplines that comprise Transfusion Medicine including blood donation and processing, immunohematology, laboratory methods, clinical transfusion practice, hemostasis, cellular therapies, and transfusion and public policy. The aim of the journal is to inform clinicians, researchers, patients, and policy makers to the latest advances in our field. We do this primarily through the publication of original research and analytic reviews. Our original research articles must present original scientific experiments or clinical observations. Our reviews aim to give readers a deeper understanding of the knowledge-base of our field through papers that critically assess the existing literature rather than just summarize it. We expect authors to provide expert, unbiased, insightful analysis of their topic. All manuscripts undergo peer review by a minimum of two reviewers. We also aim to alert readers to emerging technologies as well as new applications of basic science to clinical transfusion practice. Our mission is to inform a worldwide readership of the best knowledge in transfusion. Prospective authors should review the Article Types in the Guide for Authors.
    • Radiation Physics and Chemistry

      • ISSN: 0969-806X
The Journal for Radiation Physics, Radiation Chemistry and Radiation Processing A multidisciplinary journal linking science and industryRadiation Physics and Chemistry is a multidisciplinary journal that provides a medium for publication of substantial and original papers, reviews, and short communications which focus on research and developments involving ionizing radiation in radiation physics, radiation chemistry and radiation processing.Radiation Physics and Chemistry aims to publish articles with significance to an international audience, containing substantial novelty and contributions to science. We expect that articles present new insight or hypothesis testing, that they focus on radiation effects or applications of ionizing radiation, provide uncertainties and statistical analysis where relevant, and present their findings in context with discussion of past and recent literature. The editors reserve the right to reject, with or without external review, articles which do not meet these criteria. This could include articles which are very similar to previous publications, except that target substrates, materials, analyzed sites or experimental methods have been changed.A fuller though not exhaustive list of topics that are considered for publication include:Radiation PhysicsFundamental processes in radiation physics Interaction mechanisms for example scattering and absorption of photon and particle radiations Attenuation coefficients X-ray fluorescence Cherenkov effect Polarization Effects of periodic structures (Bragg diffraction, channelling, parametric x-radiation, etc)Mathematical methods in radiation physics, reference dataRadiation sources and detectors Accelerator and radionuclide spectra and other properties Radiation fields from point and extended sources Detector response functions Basic physics of Dosimetry Radiation transport Buildup factorsRadiation ChemistryIonizing radiation induced ionic and radical reactions Kinetics and mechanism of radiolysis reactions Pulse radiolysis technique and measurements Nanoparticle production by ionizing radiation Radiation induced chain reactions, polymerization Irradiation effects on polymers Dose and dose rate effects LET effects on chemical reactions Pollutant removal by ionizing radiation Computational models on radiation chemical reactionsPapers on photochemistry, microwave chemistry and thermochemistry are believed to belong to the scope of RPC only if they have strong relevance to radiation chemistry. EPR papers will only be considered for publication when the method is used for clarifying radiation chemical processes, e.g. by determining the nature of the transient intermediates. Radiochemistry papers such as tracer technique, radon or other radionuclide measurements, isotopic constitutions fall outside the scope of the journal.Radiation ProcessingRadiation Sterilization Microbiology Toxicology Biocompatibility ValidationFood irradiation Microbiological quality Chemical effects Nutrition Detection induced radioactivityPolymer... • ISSN: 1538-7836
The Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) is the official journal of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. The mission of JTH is to advance science related to the important medical problems of thrombosis, bleeding disorders and vascular biology through the diffusion and exchange of information and ideas within the international research community. The Journal publishes high quality, original research reports, state of the art reviews, brief reports, case reports, invited commentaries on publications in the Journal, forum articles, correspondence and announcements. Editors invite both fundamental and clinical contributions. These include basic manuscripts on blood coagulation and fibrinolysis, proteins and reactions, blood platelets, and the interaction of all these components with other biological systems such as, but not limited to, the vessel wall, blood cells, and invading organisms. Clinical manuscripts can cover a wide variety of topics including venous thrombosis and arterial disease, plus hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, as well as platelet diseases. The subject area of clinical manuscripts can range from etiology to diagnostics, prognosis, prevention, and treatment.
    • Value in Health

      • ISSN: 1098-3015
AimsValue in Health aims to be a leading source of new methods, best practice guidelines, and innovative research in the field of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).Value in Health aims to publish papers that expand the frontiers of HEOR science and have a direct impact on the methods used in HEOR and the evidence on value used in healthcare decision making around the world.Scope Value in Health publishes a wide range of article types that contribute to our aims, including:Original theoretical, conceptual and empirical research in HEOR. Our principal interest is in research that contributes to and extends the way value in healthcare is defined and measured, including (but not limited to):methods for the economic evaluation of drugs and other healthcare technologies; outcomes research to strengthen the methods and evidence available to reflect patient and societal perspectives on effectiveness and value.Innovative and high-impact applications of HEOR methods with interest and relevance beyond the specific country and disease area.Good Practices Reports: Value in Health publishes ISPOR’s Good Practices Reports that identify best and emerging practices in a wide range of areas within HEOR.Systematic Reviews: The Editors welcome systematic reviews of any aspect of HEOR. These should go beyond describing a given body of work by synthesizing and critically reviewing the literature and drawing out lessons for HEOR methods and practice. These papers should review empirical studies consistent with the methods outlined by the Cochrane Collaboration and PRISMA. Health Policy Analyses: Analysis and commentary on health policy issues with global relevance to the pursuit of a world where healthcare is effective, efficient, and affordable for all.The ISPOR journal portfolio consists of Value in Health and Value in Health Regional Issues.
