I Sverige (Sweden) and the International Collaboration of Orthopaedic NursingThe International Journal of Orthopaedic and Trauma Nursing is a peer-reviewed journal that seeks to promote the development and exchange of specialist knowledge within orthopaedic and trauma practice. The focus of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal trauma includes delivery of care for individuals with musculoskeletal injuries and disorders across the lifespan. It is not limited to purely the acute management of injuries and disorders but includes health promotion, bone health, falls/injury reduction, education, development of specialist workforce, contribution to health policy development and promotion of health in society. The journal is devoted primarily to nurses but also aims to serve other health professionals involved in the care of patients with orthopaedic and associated traumatic conditions. The journal aims to promote and share best practice through the dissemination of high quality research findings, debate within practice, exploration of professional issues and the development of health care practice as well as innovative roles. The journal publishes a wide range of papers from primary research and evidence updates to personal reflections on practice, book reviews, education and practice/management issues. The journal is committed to encouraging the sharing of new and innovative practices implemented across a broad range of international settings that will benefit people with musculoskeletal conditions and injuries worldwide. The journal encourages submission of different types of literature reviews such as scoping, narrative, integrative and systematic reviews, practice/quality improvement projects, healthcare system designs/reforms and innovations and letters to the editor regarding relevant topics. The journal is keen to consider submissions from a broad range of disciplines (ie non nursing) but it is essential that authors from those fields make the relevance of that paper to orthopaedic and trauma nursing overt in the manuscript. The mission of the journal is to facilitate global networking amongst orthopaedic and trauma nurses that results in the sharing of evidence-based practice, the dissemination of ideas and knowledge amongst orthopaedic and trauma nurses and other members of the health care team, including the organisations which support such practitioners in developing their knowledge and practice. The editorial team encourages and supports contributions from both experienced, developing and first time authors.Practice Development in Orthopaedics and Trauma Papers which describe initiatives and innovation in practice development or support continuing education are welcomed by the editors. In keeping with the journal's aims and scope, short papers are invited from clinical staff, educators and students. Such papers may focus on, but are not restricted to, best practice and practice development initiatives; implementation of research findings and education; improvements in patient care and development of the workforce in the clinical environment. Papers should be prepared in keeping with the journal's style (Guide for Authors can be found at Guide for Authors and should help the orthopaedic and trauma practitioner to develop and maintain their own skills and knowledge and help to transform delivery of quality care for patients elsewhere in the world. In addition, authors can use such papers to make the most of international networks by sharing their work, innovations and ideas.- ISSN: 1878-1241

Human Movement Science
The journal is devoted to pure and applied research related to the science of human movement. It provides a medium for publishing disciplinary and multidisciplinary studies on human movement. It brings together psychological, biomechanical and neurophysiological research on the control, organization and learning of human movement, including the perceptual support of movement. The journal also encourages submissions from the fields of sport and exercise science and kinesiology provided that the work expands knowledge and understanding of human movement. This can include articles that focus on performance analyses, and artificial intelligence/machine learning. The overarching goal of the journal is to publish articles that help advance theoretical understanding of the control and organization of human movement, as well as changes therein as a function of development, learning, and rehabilitation. The nature of the research reported may vary from fundamental theoretical or empirical studies to more applied studies in the fields of, for example, sport, dance and rehabilitation with the proviso that all studies have a distinct theoretical bearing. The journal is less keen on work that is descriptive in nature or that has limited generalizability outside a specific population pool or sample. Also, we consider both systematic and meta-analytical reviews of human movement. Narrative reviews are by invitation only and are generally reserved for established scholars; please contact the Editor-in-Chief or the relevant Section Editor for a discussion. These aims and scope imply that purely descriptive studies are not acceptable, while methodological articles are only acceptable if the methodology in question can have a significant impact on the development of new directions in understanding the control and organization of human movement. The same holds for articles on exercise physiology, which in general are not supported, unless they speak to the control and organization of human movement. In general, it is required that the theoretical message of articles published in Human Movement Science is, to a certain extent, innovative and not dismissible as just "more of the same."Human Movement Science will consider hypothesis-driven analyses and exploratory analyses for which the need for exploration can be motivated; the exploratory nature of any such analysis should be clearly stated. In line with its commitment to publishing methodologically sound studies, Human Movement Science now offers the possibility to publish high-powered hypothesis driven research and high-impact replications as Registered Reports. Through pre- registration of hypotheses and methodology and results-independent editorial decisions, this article type neutralizes many questionable research practices incentivised by today's publish-or-perish pressures. In addition to regular issues, special issues addressing a single theme or topic will be published. The journal has now appointed a dedicated Section Editor to focus on special issues and invited reviews. The journal will look to publish 1-2 special issues per annum. In case of special issues, the above criteria may be softened if the guest editor(s) is (are) of the opinion that this will further the insight into the theme of the special issue in question. Special issues containing articles based on papers presented at conferences and workshops or consisting of a "target article" followed by peer commentaries are also admissible.- ISSN: 0167-9457

Psychology of Sport and Exercise
An Official Journal of the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC)Psychology of Sport and Exercise is an international forum for scholarly reports in the psychology of sport and exercise, broadly defined. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches. To be considered for publication, manuscripts must make a substantive theoretical or methodological contribution. Manuscripts that will be considered for publication include results from high quality empirical research, reviews, meta-analyses, reports of professional practice (which need to demonstrate academic rigour and go beyond mere description), registered reports, and commentaries concerning already published PSE papers. Authors should adhere to recognised reporting guidelines for research (e.g., PRISMA guidelines for reviews and meta-analyses; TIDieR guidelines for interventions; CONSORT statement for randomised trials). Registered reports undergo a two-phase review process in which study rationale and methodology are considered prior to the research being undertaken. Authors are welcome to pre-register their study with an external organization (e.g. OSF), but it is not required. Authors interested in submitting replications of published studies need to contact the Editors-in-Chief before they start their replication. Quantitative studies should be theoretically informed and empirical research justified with a-priori power estimates provided (drawing on effects sizes from previous meta-analyses and/or specific papers with designs close to the one authors use). Qualitative studies should address the ontological/epistemo... position and methodological rigour of the study. We are not interested in manuscripts that aim to test the psychometric properties of an existing scale from English to another language, unless new validation methods are used which address previously unanswered research questions.Additional information If you wish to contact one of the Editors-in-Chief for any reason, (e.g. becoming a reviewer, interest in joining editorial board, issue about journal policy) please email the Editors-in-Chief. All manuscripts should be presented as concisely as possible. Authors should consider making available some of their material as supplementary electronic material to keep the overall page limit around 30 pages (8000 words) including references, tables, and figures. If manuscripts are mixed-methods, multiple experiments, complex designs, or include large tables and data sets (qualitative and/or quantitative), authors are requested to provide more information about their rationale for a longer page length (more than 8000 words) for their paper during the review process (e.g., in the cover letter to the Editors). The editorial team will then decide on the appropriateness of a longer page length when considering the submission. All submissions are screened by one of the editors before they are sent out for review to assess their suitability for the journal. Hence, there is no need to contact the editors prior to submission. The editors will also consider short communications for publication and such submissions should be a maximum of 15 pages including abstract (150 words max), main text, references, tables, and figures. Commentaries on published PSE papers should be a maximum of 5 pages, including abstract, references, tables, and figures.- ISSN: 1469-0292

International Journal of Medical Informatics
Official journal of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI) and IMIA.International Journal of Medical Informatics provides an international medium for dissemination of original results and interpretative reviews concerning the field of medical informatics. The journal emphasizes the development, use, implementation, deployment, and evaluation of information and communication technologies (ICT) in healthcare settings, including consumer health, public health, clinical care, telehealth, education, clinical research, policies, and regulations considering security, privacy, and the ethical use of ICT resources at local, national, and global levels to improve population care delivery. The scope of journal covers:Information systems, including national or international registration systems, hospital information systems, departmental and/or clinician’s office systems, document handling systems, clinical information systems, electronic medical record systems, personal health records, public and population health informatics, consumer health systems, digital health, digital ecosystem, terminologies and standardization, systems integration and interoperability, among other topics on the scenario of delivering patient care through information and communication technology devices. Computer-assisted medical decision support systems that use heuristics, data structures, algorithms, and statistical methods exemplified in decision theory, protocol development, and artificial intelligence, including techniques for discovering new knowledge. Note that studies in AI will be considered if they are integrated into clinical systems or evaluate the impact caused on clinical implementations.Educ... information and communication technology-based programs pertaining to medical informatics in general, including organizational, educational framework, curriculum content, economics evaluation, social and clinical impact, ethical and cost-benefit aspects of ICT applications in health care.Patient safety, data privacy, security and confidentiality requirements, legal regulation, policies process, system assessment, maturity models evaluation and governance for ICT. The journal is in the healthcare domain. As an international journal, methodology plays a crucial role in allowing researchers from different countries to acquire knowledge and benefits from the steps followed to obtain results and evidence in using ICT in healthcare delivery. Results are often not transferable, but researchers can pursue and use methods in various scenarios. If the article is on artificial intelligence using machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, predictive modelling and related topics, authors MUST add relevant information as an appendix to allow better evaluation, transparency, and reproducibility. Many studies currently use models, algorithms, and in silico evaluation. In this case, we recommend a practical clinical application or a test with a different dataset than the one used to design the algorithm or model – an evaluation performed with data from other facilities is recommended. In other words, the dataset must be different (origin and testing). In addition, it would be helpful for authors to highlight the study’s limitations, particularly in cases where the testing is not feasible. Predictive modeling (based on deep learning or machine learning techniques) applied to image analysis can significantly enhance diagnostic accuracy when integrated into hospital electronic health records. IJMEDI's scope allows the acceptance of primary research articles or reviews on image analysis that have been validated on external datasets (different from those used for development and training) and, possibly, integrated into clinical workflow or that have developed novel approaches using multimodality data. Articles that only focus on methodological approaches, analytical frameworks, or studies reporting algorithm performance in medical image analysis without a clear clinical contribution described above are considered out of scope for IJMEDI.Again, note that IJMEDI is not interested in the model description or the comparison of framework performance with no novelty on the method or deployment. The scope is to focus on the results of ICT in clinical practice. The IJMI is interested in robust evaluation and intervention studies in clinical practice applications. Faced with so many studies using models, algorithms, in silico evaluation, it is demanded a practical clinical application (different dataset for validation) with significant meaning for providers and patients. Studies on models and descriptions must be advanced and show how much the contribution is evident for international readers and researchers. Most studies only evaluated model performance, but no usability and impact evaluation. It is necessary to advance and demonstrate impact on clinical practices. Please also consult the IJMEDI editorials which details the checklist for machine learning checklist (https://www.science... and the scope of AI for the IJMEDI journal (https://www.science... Authors may also consider other journals addressing artificial intelligence in medicine and methods (Medical Informatics Journals | Elsevier). The scope does not cover bibliometric or scientometric studies or similar studies using those methods.- ISSN: 1386-5056
