Audio Content Security: Attack Analysis on Audio Watermarking describes research using a common audio watermarking method for four different genres of music, also providing the results of many test attacks to determine the robustness of the watermarking in the face of those attacks. The results of this study can be used for further studies and to establish the need to have a particular way of audio watermarking for each particular group of songs, each with different characteristics. An additional aspect of this study tests and analyzes two parameters of audio host file and watermark on a specific evaluation method (PSNR) for audio watermarking.

This is a concise collection of practical and relevant data for anyone working on, or interested in, sound systems. Since the second edition, the Sony Mini Disc has arrived, interest has grown in valve amplifiers and vintage radios, and new safetyregulations are in force for public address systems; all of these are covered in this edition. Also included are further notes on the crossover network, and the latest exciting developments in surround sound. The number of outdoor concerts is growing and place particular demands on sound systems, including the need for reinforcement. A new section gives basic tips. Surround sound developments are described in a further new section, outlining previous systems and how they worked, along with an account of how the ear actually distinguishes sound sources. All of the new material complements the wide coverage of the previous edition make this the most comprehensive little guide to audio and hi-fi.

This book is the first to cover the recently developed MPEG-V standard, explaining the fundamentals of each part of the technology and exploring potential applications. Written by experts in the field who were instrumental in the development of the standard, this book goes beyond the scope of the official standard documentation, describing how to use the technology in a practical context and how to combine it with other information such as audio, video, images, and text. Each chapter follows an easy-to-understand format, first examining how each part of the standard is composed, then covers intended uses and applications for each particular effect. With this book, you will learn how to: Use the MPEG-V standard to develop applications Develop systems for various use cases using MPEG-V Synchronize the virtual world and real world Create and render sensory effects for media Understand and use MPEG-V for the research of new types of media related technology and services

Introduction to Audio Analysis serves as a standalone introduction to audio analysis, providing theoretical background to many state-of-the-art techniques. It covers the essential theory necessary to develop audio engineering applications, but also uses programming techniques, notably MATLAB®, to take a more applied approach to the topic. Basic theory and reproducible experiments are combined to demonstrate theoretical concepts from a practical point of view and provide a solid foundation in the field of audio analysis. Audio feature extraction, audio classification, audio segmentation, and music information retrieval are all addressed in detail, along with material on basic audio processing and frequency domain representations and filtering. Throughout the text, reproducible MATLAB® examples are accompanied by theoretical descriptions, illustrating how concepts and equations can be applied to the development of audio analysis systems and components. A blend of reproducible MATLAB® code and essential theory provides enable the reader to delve into the world of audio signals and develop real-world audio applications in various domains.
