Behaviour Research and Therapy
An International Multi-Disciplinary Journal. The major focus of Behaviour Research and Therapy is an experimental psychopathology approach to understanding emotional and behavioral disorders and their prevention and treatment, using cognitive, behavioral, and psychophysiological (including neural) methods and models. This includes laboratory-based experimental studies with healthy, at risk and subclinical individuals that inform clinical application as well as studies with clinically severe samples. The following types of submissions are encouraged: theoretical reviews of mechanisms that contribute to psychopathology and that offer new treatment targets; tests of novel, mechanistically focused psychological interventions, especially ones that include theory-driven or experimentally-deriv... predictors, moderators and mediators; and innovations in dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices into clinical practice in psychology and associated fields, especially those that target underlying mechanisms or focus on novel approaches to treatment delivery. In addition to traditional psychological disorders, the scope of the journal includes behavioural medicine (e.g., chronic pain). The journal will consider manuscripts dealing primarily with measurement and psychometric analyses if relevant to the primary focus of the journal (e.g., transdiagnostic mechanisms).The Editor and Associate Editors will make an initial determination of whether or not submissions fall within the scope of the journal and/or are of sufficient merit and importance to warrant full review.

Journal of Empirical Finance
The Journal of Empirical Finance is a financial economics journal whose aim is to publish high quality articles in empirical finance. Empirical finance is interpreted broadly to include any type of empirical work in financial economics, financial econometrics, and also theoretical work with clear empirical implications, even when there is no empirical analysis. The Journal welcomes articles in all fields of finance, such as asset pricing, corporate finance, financial econometrics, banking, international finance, microstructure, behavioural finance, etc.The Editorial Team is willing to take risks on innovative research, controversial papers, and unusual approaches. We are also particularly interested in work produced by young scholars. The composition of the editorial board reflects such goals. Editorial PolicyWe are committed to fast turnaround times. Since 2016, our goal is to make most decisions on first submissions within 10 weeks.All papers are handled by one of the main editors. For each paper, the editor chooses one of three options:The editor makes a decision on the paper without involving additional reviewers;The editor directly selects one or more ad hoc reviewers;The editor assigns the paper to an associate editor, who then selects one or more ad hoc reviewers and makes a recommendation to the editor.In all cases, the editor is responsible for the final decision on the paper.All first submissions require payment of a submission fee. The submission fee is not refundable. In particular, the submission fee will not be refunded if the paper is "desk rejected" (i.e. the editor rejects the paper without involving additional reviewers) or if the editors are unable to secure reviewers for the paper. We do not pre-screen papers or ideas; authors have to submit their papers and pay the submission fee to receive an evaluation. Please note that, due to the exceptionally large number of high-quality submissions, the hurdle is very high: we currently reject about 85% of all submissions, of which 40% are rejected by the editors without involving further reviewers and with no detailed feedback offered. We thus recommend authors to be conservative in their submission decisions, as most submissions will lead to rejection. As a guideline for authors, here we list some of the most common reasons for desk rejections (please note that this list is not exhaustive):The paper is a better fit for Accounting, Computational, Mathematical Finance, Operations, Statistics, or Econometrics journals.The paper is a better fit for academic journals with a more practitioner orientation.The topic or the application is too narrow, being of interest to only a small group of researchers.The quality of the analysis falls short of the standards expected by the Journal.The paper is poorly written and/or formatted.

Technology in Society
Technology in Society is an international journal devoted to the global discourse at the intersection of technological change and the social, economic, business and philosophical transformation of the world around around us. The goal of the journal is to provide scholarship that enables decision-makers to thoughtfully and intentionally engage in the decisions that shape this dynamic. The common thread across these fields is the role of technology in society across economic, political and cultural dynamics. Scholarly work in Technology in Society focuses on the social forces that shape technological decisions and the choices that are open to society with respect to technology uses. This includes scholarly and theoretical approaches (history and philosophy of science and technology, technology forecasting, economic growth, and policy, ethics), applied approaches (business innovation, technology management, legal and engineering) and approaches that are from a development perspective (technology transfer, technology assessment and economic development). Finance Research Letters
Finance Research Letters invites submissions in all areas of finance, broadly defined. Finance Research Letters offers and ensures the rapid publication of important new results in these areas. We aim to provide a rapid response to papers, with all papers undergoing a desk review by one of the Editors in Chief before being sent for review.Papers are especially welcome that shed insight on the replicability or lack thereof of established results, that look at transnational applicability of previous findings, that challenge existing methodological approaches, or which demonstrate the methodological contingency of findings. Mental Health and Physical Activity
Mental Health and Physical Activity is an international forum for scholarly reports on any aspect of relevance to advancing our understanding of the relationship between mental health and physical activity. Please note that papers which focus exclusively on mental health, or exclusively on physical activity, will not be considered. Manuscripts will be considered for publication which deal with high quality research, comprehensive research reviews, and critical reflection of applied or research issues. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches. We continue to receive many more manuscripts than we can possibly publish. Therefore, in order to reduce any delay in publishing the best science, the following guidelines should be considered prior to submitting a manuscript, in addition to guidance from EQUATOR (https://www.equator... types of studies given the highest priority are the following:Etiologic or experimental studies testing a specific hypothesis or highlighting a specific mechanism relating physical activity or inactivity to mental health.Prospective or longitudinal studies.Randomised controlled trials, or related protocol papers which follow CONSORT guidelines. All submitted manuscripts reporting data from randomized controlled trials must include data on adherence to the trial intervention(s). Manuscripts that do not report adherence data will not be considered. Learning and Motivation publishes research that advances fundamental understanding of learning, cognition, and motivation in humans and animals. The journal prioritizes studies offering clear empirical and/or theoretical contributions, characterized by methodological rigor, conceptual innovation, and relevance to both the scientific community and broader society.We welcome manuscripts addressing topics such as associative and non-associative learning, applied behavior analysis, relational frame theory, self-determination theory, cognitive and motivational mechanisms, comparative and evolutionary approaches, neural and biological underpinnings, and the roles of emotion and affect in learning and motivation.Both basic and applied research are welcome, provided that applied studies, in areas such as clinical and educational settings, advance theoretical understanding and offer substantive theoretical or empirical insights into learning and/or motivation, beyond the description of phenomena or evaluation of interventions. This leading international journal, launched in 2006, uniquely identifies and details critical issues in the future of learning and teaching of creativity, as well as innovations in teaching for thinking. Journal of Informetrics
Journal of Informetrics (JOI) publishes rigorous high-quality research on quantitative aspects of information science. The main focus of the journal is on topics in bibliometrics, scientometrics, webometrics, patentometrics, altmetrics and research evaluation. Contributions studying informetric problems using methods from other quantitative fields, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics and econometrics, and network science, are especially encouraged. JOI publishes both theoretical and empirical work. In general, case studies, for instance a bibliometric analysis focusing on a specific research field or a specific country, are not considered suitable for publication in JOI, unless they contain innovative methodological elements.

A Quarterly Review of Innovations in Post-secondary EducationThe Internet and Higher Education is a quarterly journal devoted to addressing contemporary issues and future developments related to Internet-enabled learning and teaching in higher education settings. It is a peer-reviewed journal intended to be a vehicle for scholarly presentation and dissemination of contributions significantly addressing innovative uses of Internet technology in learning and teaching, and reporting on research to demonstrate the effects of the Internet on the quality and/or the equity of learning and teaching in higher education contexts. The key findings must inform practices and/or policies, and contribute to the scholarship of Internet-enabled higher education learning and teaching.
