The multi-disciplinary journal devoted to the study and promotion of international developmentWorld Development Perspectives is a multi-disciplinary journal of international development and a companion title to the respected World Development . It seeks to explore ways of improving human well-being by examining the performance and impact of interventions designed to address issues related to: poverty alleviation, public health and malnutrition, agricultural production, natural resource governance, globalization and transnational processes, technological progress, gender and social discrimination, and participation in economic and political life. Above all, we are particularly interested in the role of historical, legal, social, economic, political, biophysical, and/or ecological contexts in shaping development processes and outcomes.We welcome contributions that offer constructive ideas and analysis, and highlight the lessons to be learned from the experiences of different nations, societies, and economies. World Development Perspectives recognizes 'development' as a process of change at and across multiple scales, involving a diverse range of actors at each scale. Keeping in mind this diversity, our objective is to build a rigorous understanding of the interactions between the relevant contextual factors and specific development interventions in explaining development outcomes. The Journal of Accounting Education (JAEd) is a refereed journal dedicated to promoting and publishing research on accounting education issues and to improving the quality of accounting education worldwide.The Journal provides a vehicle for making results of empirical studies available to educators and for exchanging ideas, instructional resources, and best practices that help improve accounting education. The Journal includes four sections: a Main Articles Section, a Teaching and Educational Notes Section, an Educational Case Section, and a Best Practices Section. Manuscripts published in the Main Articles Section generally present results of empirical studies, although non-empirical papers (such as policy-related or essay papers) are sometimes published in this section. Papers published in the Teaching and Educational Notes Section include short empirical pieces (e.g., replications) as well as instructional resources that are not properly categorized as cases, which are published in a separate Case Section. Note: as part of the Teaching Note accompany educational cases, authors must include implementation guidance (based on actual case usage) and evidence regarding the efficacy of the case vis-a-vis a listing of educational objectives associated with the case. To meet the efficacy requirement, authors must include direct assessment (e.g grades by case requirement/objectiv... or pre-post tests). Although interesting and encouraged, student perceptions (surveys) are considered indirect assessment and do not meet the efficacy requirement. The case must have been used more than once in a course to avoid potential anomalies and to vet the case before submission. Authors may be asked to collect additional data, depending on course size/circumstances.T... Best Practices section includes individual and institutional practices related to, for example, student recruitment, student advising, student retention, alumni relations, and efforts to integrate accounting practice and accounting education. These articles are typically shorter in length than Main Section (i.e., research-based) articles. While such papers do not need evidence obtained on the basis of an experimental design (e.g., pre- versus post-test comparison), some evidence regarding the value or benefit of the best practice should be included, along with a discussion of relevant costs (out-of-pocket as well as opportunity costs, such as faculty time, practitioner involvement, etc.). Biomass, Biofuels and BioproductsAlgal Research is an international phycology journal covering all areas of emerging technologies in algae biology, biomass production, cultivation, harvesting, extraction, bioproducts, biorefinery, engineering, and econometrics. Algae is defined to include cyanobacteria, microalgae, macroalgae, and protists and symbionts of interest in biotechnology. The journal publishes original research and reviews for the following scope: algal biology, including but not exclusive to: phylogeny, biodiversity, molecular traits, metabolic regulation, and genetic engineering, algal cultivation, e.g. phototrophic systems, heterotrophic systems, and mixotrophic systems, algal harvesting and extraction systems, biotechnology to convert algal biomass and components into biofuels and bioproducts, e.g., nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, animal feed, plastics, etc. algal products and their economic assessment.Papers in the latter topics should include characterization and analysis in support of such processes and technologies, for example: approaches to biorefinery and biomass characterization, sustainability assessments and analyses, such as techno-economic, life cycle, and resource assessments of systems and processes using algae as a main source of biomass.The journal will not consider manuscripts where the core concept is the experimental design (RSM, CCD or other) in the optimization of a process, or the biological activity of algae extracts without full characterization and identification of the compounds responsible for the bioactivity.Review articles, book reviews and commentaries should only be submitted after consultation with the editors.- ISSN: 2211-9264
