  • Organic Geochemistry

    • ISSN: 0146-6380
The International Journal for the Rapid Publication of Current Research in Organic Geochemistry and Biogeochemistry and The Official Journal of the European Association of Organic GeochemistsOrganic Geochemistry serves as the only dedicated medium for the publication of peer-reviewed research on all phases of geochemistry in which organic compounds play a major role. The Editors welcome contributions covering a wide spectrum of subjects in the geosciences broadly based on organic chemistry (including molecular and isotopic geochemistry), and involving geology, biogeochemistry, environmental geochemistry, chemical oceanography and hydrology. The scope of the journal includes research involving organic matter in ancient strata (including source rocks, petroleum, natural gas and coal), recent sediments, the aqueous environment, and soils and the role of organics in the geochemical cycling of the elements. Sedimentological, paleontological and organic petrographic studies will also be considered for publication, if they are geochemically oriented. Papers cover the full range of research activities in organic geochemistry, and include comprehensive review articles, technical communications, discussion/reply correspondence and short technical notes. Peer-reviews organised through three Chief Editors and a staff of Associate Editors, are conducted by well known, respected members of the scientific community. The journal also publishes reviews of books, announcements of important conferences and meetings and other matters of direct interest to the organic geochemical community. This journal welcomes contributions that support and advance the UN's sustainable development goals.
  • Journal of the European Ceramic Society

    • ISSN: 0955-2219
The Journal of the European Ceramic Society publishes the results of original research and reviews relating to ceramic materials. Papers of either an experimental or theoretical character will be welcomed on a fully international basis. The emphasis is on novel generic science concerning the relationships between processing, microstructure and properties of polycrystalline ceramics consolidated at high temperature and/or under pressure. Papers may relate to any of the conventional categories of ceramic: structural, functional, traditional or composite. Papers on bioceramics are accepted and can include inorganic biomaterials, understood more broadly than the strict definition above. For example, inorganic biomaterials could be in scope even if they are not necessarily consolidated at high temperature or pressure, as long as the material itself is the central focus of the paper. The main objective is to sustain a high standard of research quality by means of appropriate reviewing procedures.

Contributions from all disciplines including e.g., humanities, social science, political science, jurisprudence, economics, ethics, and others are also welcome if they address issues related to sustainable and green chemistry or sustainable and green pharmacy.Manuscripts are typically addressing topics such asrenewable resourcesnew sustainable synthetic approachescutting edge green and sustainable analytical methodsgreen and sustainable chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, distribution, use and applicationend of life of productsrecycling and circulationwaste and energy flowsalternative energy sourcessocial and environmental protectionbio-circul... economygreener and more sustainable substitution of molecules, materials, products and their related substance flows, as well as processes. For all articles it is important to highlight novelty, and greenness, and/or sustainability of the work presented e.g., by referring to the principles of green chemistry, or sustainability aspects taking into account the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, or the key characteristics of sustainable chemistry or the general principles of sustainability such as subsistence, efficiency and consistence. This has to be addressed in the cover letter and in the manuscript.Manuscrip... that only are minor extension of well-established methodologies or concepts are not appropriate for the journal (e.g., articles on green synthesis of nanoparticles, new adsorption materials, routinely synthesis of heterocycles and ordinary analytical method development / application), as these manuscripts often lack sufficient novelty. The journal neither publishes research associated with 'end-of-pipe' or simple remediation issues, if they are not clearly related to greenness or sustainability.Revie... are not published anymore by SCP, only if they are submitted on invitation by an editor of the journal.
